If Winnifred had listened to her sisters, given up her pride and stolen the life force from one of the other kids than yes, she could have come back and wreaked havoc on all of these people however, the movie writers had to follow the rule of good winning over evil so they made her pride her flaw so it would give the "heros" the chance to beat the sisters.
