  • pinche gente culona mcga ke no le picen

  • In the end it was a bad timing belt tensioner what made that noise.

  • ive fixed same noise/ problem same motor , timing belt to tight! or posibly lifters

  • sound desel xD

  • hey mate my l300 4wd van dose the same thing verry violently tho a shake through the van previus owner ran it dry of oil so thats the problem for most mitsis that make the same noise

  • @gk029

I think that your porblem is slightly different, because my car did not shake, my car just made a bad noise.

  • my car makes this same noise but when i rev it up it doesnt anymore. do u think its the balance shaft?

  • @slleacock

It might be the balance shaft, but there is one other thing that makes the same noise, the oil pump.

The problem is that the balance shaft (one of them) and the oil pump are at the same place and its hard to say which one is to blame for the noise.

You just have to take it apart and wiggle :) those parts to see whits one is worn out.

  • @slleacock ..Did you figure out what it was?? my 92 tsi just started sounding like a diesel tractor at idel the smoothing out after 2500 rpm's..

  • Yo tenía el mismo problema y he conseguido solucionarlo. Debes cambiar el balance shaf, con su correspondiente cojinete y la bomba de aceite. Buena suerte!

  • He arreglado el problema ya y ahora funciona muy bien.

  • I'll soon post a new video of the car and engine sound. AND its winter time and you all now what that means. Snow and 4wd work great together :)

  • I have a 92 Talon 2L Turbo making the same noise. Did you fix your problem.

Is that noise from the Balance Shafts?

  • No, I haven't repaired it yet, but next month I will (parts are ordered and come in next month).

And Yes, it is a balance shaft noise.

  • @rick3289 Now its done and it was balance shaft bearing. Its much quieter now :)

  • Ive had a 2g Talon with a 4g63 turbo .. And trust me, Remove the balance shafts .. you will not feel a difference in vibration, You will get about 60 more hp up to 5 grand tho. Those motors crank walk and make the noise yours is making because of the balance shafts. Removing them will solve a lot of your problems and keep them away.

  • the balance axle is there for a reason, it runs smoother with it. Less vibrations... just put in a new bearing.

  • I know its there for a reason.

But I think I will take them out some time in the summer anyway and see how it works. If it turns out bad I'l but them back. No problem.

  • A little more "shaking" in the car since the balance shaft is no longer there, but nothing that will enoy you. Still runs like a dream.

  • Excellent, then I will to it :)

    Thanks again for the advise.

  • I had the same noise on my Galant vr4 4g63.

The bearing on the balance shaft was dead.

I mounted a balance shaft eliminator kit to fix the problem. :)

  • Thank you for your answer :)

I took it apart and yes, the balance shaft (that runs from the oil pump) bearing was dead.

If I have some free time, I will to the same thing you did.

Is there any changes in engine behavior?
