  • New Orleans is not the only city who got affected by this loss, I'm from Lake Charles (3 hrs west of yall, and like 45 minutes east of Texas) and we had several of them. The only thing that remains now is there is ONE rite aid location I(the one on McNeese Street) that left the K&B logo on their backdoor.

  • Our two former K&B's are both gym's and workout centers now. For the longest time they were empty however.

  • My Mom worked here in the 70's.

  • I miss K&B! xo

  • K&B used to be pretty much the only store open on Christmas.

  • @jmood88 Oh you're right about that. I worked every single Christmas day for 6 years!

  • We lived in MS, but we loved K&B just as much as LA did. Just the other day, I found some old prints from the '80s in K&B envelopes.

  • No more Schwegmanns, McKenzies, or K&B anymore. Things will never be the same.

  • K&B was breathing its last breaths by then before RiteAid bought the chain in around 1998 or so.

  • Thanks, Vatican for posting this. It was probably one of the last.

  • pretty neat you posted this

  • man i miss ridin my bike to the corner and going to KNB !

  • R.I.P. Katz & Bestoff

  • This is a blast from the past, I sure do miss K&B..
