I just saw this like two hours ago in the LA OPERA in LA. Everything was different of course. The music sounded the same. (Nino Machaidze was Juliet ) .Wow, is she phenomenal . Though, they casted a different Romeo . Of course he was marvelous as well! Since it was tech rehearsal ,we got to see everything behind the scenes. All i can say is that it was AMAZING.

Exquisite! She's physically gorgeous and the vocal production is sublime. She is mesmerizing to watch. I prefer her voice over Dessay without question. At least in this aria

her high notes are SO sharp and uncontrolled that with her large vibrato over 2 semitones she unwillingly trills on the high C, thats quite horrible :D

Ma per favore!!!! Vuol dire che le tue povere orecchie sono avvezze all'ascolto della spazzatura sonora... La voce è brutta, acidula, a volte fissa, a volte calante, con un fondo retroboccale che in un soprano leggero dà veramente fastidio... Senza contare alcuni acuti crescenti (come il la prima della sezione cantabile)... Sentiti la Sutherland e poi ne parliamo (anche se capisco che il livello della Sutherland è talmente stratosferico da risultare quasi incomprensibile oggi!!!)
