Hay Dave, I see some tributes here and want to say that I've been quietly watching many of your videos as I've got deeper into the sport. All the way down under in Sydney Australia. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm. It is something you get hooked on when you can't afford your pilots license and fly the real thing. Cheers, Matt
Boy o boy u still manage to impress me, iv been subscribed to u..... God I think since u started making vid's, & this MAY sound stupid but u continue to inspire me with ur abilities, I'm a very fix something that's not broken just to see if I can make it better kind of guy (occasionally) breaking things in the process. I don't have allot of money so it's very hard to try some of the thing u do but I use birthdays & xmass as excuses for me & my 3 kids 2boys to get radio controlled vehicles. lol.
I decided to try rc planes 3 years ago, I started with a supercub and ended up with a Parkzone Polecat which I can fly expertly. now I build ultra micro EDFs out of paper and white glue and bamboo skewers coated in spray paint. Dave showed me sometimes ridiculous Ideas should be persued and I can tell you that paper composite is an excellent way to build micro planes. I am getting a camera so I can show off my unique rc planes. the thrill of seeing my own designs fly is so exciting thanks Dave
I've been watching your videos for almost a year since getting into the hobby myself, and have enjoyed all of them greatly! (Not just the RC videos but all) I subcribed and check every morning before work to see if you've posted anything else :) Thank you for sharing the knowledge and experience not just in RC but in all the other great things you've shared with us, you have enriched my life and continue to do so!
@bear3162000 It is very kind of you to say that. I am happy to have you as a long time subscriber. Check your box in the morning for a new video and thanks kindly for your remarks.
Well this recognition is way over due!!! I learned a lot from this gentleman and i sincerely hope he keeps it up. You still got a lot to teach us Mr Herbert. Congratulations.
Dave all the recognition you get you deserve every bit of it and more.I still have not seen all your videos yet but i,m getting there and enjoying them all.I recently had back surgery while recovering built a F22 Raptor out of foam board and put a KF2 air foil on it and it flys awesome but is kind of a hand full.So i,ve found theres only one thing so far i can do as good as you, enjoy flying RC planes & Helis.lol
@zapster2412111 I hope you surgery has gone well. Recovery is time consuming. I am glad you put your time to good use. I am also happy you are enjoying the hobby. Thanks for the kind words.
A legend in hi own...you are a r/c god sir! I hope my life has as many successes as you have had and are still achieving...I guess the sky really is the limit.
@flamingosunlimited No one is a loser. People all have a winner inside themselves somewhere. You just may have to look harder for it. " If you continue to do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always gotten". ~NightFlyyer~
Congratulations mr Herbert, you completely deserve it seeing how much time and effort you put into these videos! That was also a great video and flight! Great job!
Find it strange you say it needs nose weight when they have always been NOSE HEAVY. I bought mine based on your review LONG time ago and your the one who said to add up elevator to compensate for the heavy nose.
@freemarlochip Hmmmm, I will have to go back and check that. Every one of my Nitroplanes jets and planes are tail heavy. This one not as much, but it still feels better with an ounce extra in the nose to me.
@Mifodiy35 He had a lot to do with full scale Russian helis and dabbled in NOTAR and Gyrocopters in the '90s but not models. My Hyperfly was the first NoTar commercially available for Sale to the RC world. Now I fly it with only 1 rotor blade too. I invented and flew the first prototype in 1989 and it went on the market in 1993 by Kyosho.
What a life! My respects Sgt. Herbert you are truly a roll model and my personal inspiration to get into the hobby, congratulations keep up the good work!!
@scooterking85 Haha. Great. My dad taught Mathematics at Beaver Falls (taught Joe Namath too). Not many of my relatives are alive back there now, but it was a nice place to live. I actually lived in Wampum , on Rt 18 as I remember.
well done to you sir . Been a keen enthusiast of your videos for quite some time . your video where you and Jeff flew all those jets in one day is my personal favorite . a Here is to your next 38 million views thumb up and aces high
second to comment. when i built (getting just the parts under 70$ and using electronics i had already) and flew my Parkzone F-27C, it flew much like a edf. what do you think?
38 mil, thats an impressive number, congratulation...and about the jet, the Typhoon is also one of my favorite planes...nice job on the video, again ;)
@jldanforth2k Thanks you very kindly. It is best to keep the mind stimulated and at my age, I am doing what I can. All the best to you too, Jerry. ~NightFlyyer~
Dave, i put 1800mah on mine and it won't lift from the ground. I thought the batt was too heavy?

Fantastic once again Dave, and much appreciated is all the sharing and fun you bring us all :-)
Take a look at the Sony Webbie/Bloggie HD camera, less than £100/$100 and weighs less, and also, it lays flat with a rotatable camera lense..
I was so impressed with this camera I bought 2 of them for model videos :-)
Happy days Dave :-)
