  • I think my 7th grade choir just got juiced by some little kids :/

  • I JUST LOVE IT

  • Wow, excellent diction and synchronisation!

  • Just stumbled upon this performance (was looking for some inspiration for our choir) but, an amazing performance by any standards and when one considers that it such young children from just one school. Truly outstanding and our compliments to Alison Watkins.

  • Спасибо за видео!!!! Работа педагогов вокала!!! Браво браво!!!! Дети с сияющими глазами, что может быть лучше.

  • @potrix71 very nice

  • oK I sang this in Junior High Choir and it didn't quite sound like this! EXCELLENT!!

  • they will be perfect in high schooll, i hope every single one of them stays in(: their diction and vowels are crazy, a couple more years and puberty would make perfection here.

  • You are all amazing!!! So enthusiastic, I LOVE it!!!!

Especially love the girl with braids at .40

  • I wish my kids had a teacher like that. She should be in jamie Olivers inspirational teachers competition.

  • wow their better than our 8th grade choir!!!!!!

  • IM IN THIS CHIOR:)))

  • amazing, you can tell the kids are enjoying it, but it wouldnt be like that if the teacher hadnt made it an enjoyable and fun experience for them... a pleasure.

  • awesome job! i want to come to fly 2 britian to congratulate them personally. however i can't. my choir of 7/8th graders is doing this song and it is not going to be close to as superb this performance waz.

  • This is amazing. It's so awesome to see kids this young really get into music. It's one thing to get them to sing the right notes at the right times, but they really look enthusiastic, and that is superb!

  • I must congratulate Alison on such a wonderful performance. As an ex Chair of Governors of a Grammar school I can see the value of such a teacher. Alison you have the ability and knowledge, but more importantly you have enthusiasm. This is what teaching is all about. I sincerely hope you have an MBE if not "Why not".

  • @centurianmk6

thank you so much for your lovely comments. It's made my day. No MBE I'm afraid, but I can dream....... In the meanwhile I shall continue doing the job I love. Very best wishes and thanks again, Alison.

  • wow! thats all i can say!! the pronuciation is amazing! xx

  • Such a polished performance! Make the most of music teacher "Alison", Lindley Junior School, before the BBC snaps her up.

  • Beautiful :)

  • Absolutely Brilliant!!

  • Felicidades, muy bonito.

  • you wanna listen to the training choir, for the "less able" then you wont be as quite impressed

  • My school choir cant do shit!!!!

  • Cool

Our school choirs doing that too!!!

  • Im so excited to do this song for my school chorus! :)

  • @jobroluver5151628 me too

  • This is one of the most feel good pieces on You Tube. It fills you with joy and hope seeing and listening to these wonderful young people and they do great credit to themselves and parents. As for the music teacher - awesome she has these kids in the palm of her hand.

  • HUDDERSFIELD ROCKS!

  • Aww so sweet :) I lvoe the parents smug little faces at the end haha

"Look, that's my little princess up there, she's gonna be the next Catherine Jenkins"

  • I have the pleasure to be a teacher at this school. I have never met a music teacher like Alison, she's incredible - not just with the choir but with the whole school. Come and listen to our children sing in assembly and it is just brilliant because they have Alison leading them. She puts her heart and soul into her job and this is the result! The children are aged 9, 10 and 11 in this video and they're from Yorkshire - this beautiful diction doesn't come naturally to lots of them!

  • fantastic - they must be so proud of themselves. Wonderful diction, melody and beautifully presented. Gives other well established, older, choirs a run for thier money!

  • WONDERFULLLLLLLLLLL !! :)

  • simply awesome!

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MYYYYYYYYYYYY GOD!!! I went looking for this song on youtube cause im going to do this canon with my singing class. and my mouth DROPPED!! THIS IS FANTASTIC!!! WHAT A GREAT CHOIR!!!

  • Wow! I love little British kids XD!!! I'm impressed! When I did this song it was sung by 10th-12th graders and advanced 9th graders and they sung it just as good as we did!

  • Wow! I lovew little british kids XD!!! I'm impressed! When I did this song it was sung by 10th-12th graders and advanced 9th graders and they sung it just as good as we did!

  • WOFH1184 I find the remarks of bengarrion illogical and contradictory. How can a teacher who has 'no idea what she should be doing' produce a choir that is 'wonderful', 'are soo good', a surprising 'amount of diction' and be 'so clear and in tune!'? This level of singing is only achieved by careful training by a highly competent and gifted teacher. Perhaps bengarrion should go home to Llangollen in July to hear the choir perform live at the Eisteddfod!

  • BENDIGEDIG PLENTYN!

  • @bengarrion I find your remarks contradictory and illinformed. How can a teacher who 'has no idea what she should be doing' produce results which are 'soo good', surprise you with 'the amount of diction' and be 'so clear and in tune!'? This high standard of singing is only achieved by a teacher with the highest degree of musicianship and knowledge of singing. If bengarrion has any doubts, he should go home to the Llangollen Eisteddfod in July and hear the choir live.

  • i sang this in 6th grade...i love this song and i remember it like the back of my hand!!!

    i love it

  • We sang this last year, but the long version. I miss freshman year

  • The teacher looks my Drama Club teacher.

  • makes me smile every time i sing it in my own class. excellent expression, excellent diction, excellent tone! i can't stop listening.

  • OMG I Remember This =] I Miss Singing In Lindley Choir =] I Wish I Could Still Sing Like This =]

  • Quite nice i must say, for there age of course the did wonderful. My show choir is doing this song also. We also have this version but a bit longer. Still quite nice

  • I am singing in my concert

  • This is really an excellent interpretation with much love and all heart for the music. Thanks for made this possible for the internet people because this, make us happy. Thanks a lot.

  • Ah, my choir's an American Middle School one, and we're not nearly as brilliant.

  • 5 or 6 words! ex-tra-or-di-na-ry, ex-tro-di-na-ry!!!

  • @eggnoginazation syllables not words =D just saying

  • I put this on my ipod:D

  • I am singing this song in my Men's Choir and I'm American but i wish i had a British accent like them because you can understand them better and they have great diction. How old are they?

  • @Aeronaut10 About 10 to 12. i'm doing this song for choir. First I have to audition. This is why I love being British.

  • @Aeronaut10 Hi Aeronaut10,as they're a junior school,I would imagine none are older than 11.The change from junior to senior school takes place at 11 yrs. Some of the children look under 10,but might just be normal variation. Younger or older, it doesn't matter, they are superb!

    Phil

  • They sing wonderfully for their age! I am doing this song for treble cleff! It's a nice song:)

  • hahahahaha the "doopey" part was funny. I'm doing this song in choir. We suck compared to this choir lol :P

  • THEY'RE BRITTISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i can't believe these small of kids could do a really fast song. I'M AMAZED!!

  • Great, they are really motivated and feeling the music. That's something many young choirs are missing because they aren`t conducted with passion and emotion. If only that would be done, they feel it too!

  • IM well Proud to be part of this choir !!!

  • I sang this song in Choir!!!

  • I remember do this when I was little!!!

  • Awesome. Wait to you see the "New" Lindley Jr School Choir, every bit as good with lots of new members.

  • Well all i can say is WOW no wonder they won !

  • Wow. The diction is really good. So clear. My high school is performing Sweet Charity the musical and I'm in the ensemble. The biggest dance number is Rhythm of Life. And it sucks compared to them.

  • i wish my school did this compotion =( but =) for them

  • finally a choir that sings the same version as my choir lol 1 reason why they sound sooo good is that kids voices are pure at least that's what my choir teacher says

  • When they are trying to be quiet they all stick their necks out like their teacher does. Priceless!

  • @Lukozade123

my school did this competition, and this man comes eachand visits a few months before the final to try to improve the performances of all the schools.. he always tells you to "lean in on the tense bits" so... yeah thats why they do it.. watch other performances from this competition,, all the choirs do it..

  • wow is right- that is a lot of words for those kids. great job!

  • My old school :) i wasnt in the choir though

  • So basically they've hijacked something with no relation to christianity and shifted the meaning to suit their own ends. It's a bit like Easter, isn't it?

  • A dreadful perversion of a great song. the REAl lyrics are...

And the voice said, Daddy, there's a million pigeons

Waiting to be jhooked on new religions

Hit the road, daddy, leave your common law wife

And spread the religion of the rhythm of life.

  • I remember...good times x

  • My chorus is doing this exact version.

But they sound amazing o.o' Even on the fast parts.

  • they sound so proper

  • Superb control and diction, esp on the rapidly-phrased sections...

  • simply amazing!

  • lol natalie i bet we can b better cuz we hav bettr vowels nd plus we go much much faster nd hav better diction :P u cnt rlly understand wat theyr saying

UGH! they got to do the doo bee thing!

  • Wow, my choir is singing this at the moment. These kids are amazing!!

  • im singing this on april 5th if only we sounded this amazing

  • this is absolutely amazing and they are so young and they are singing such a difficult piece of choir music... I REALLY LOVE THE ACCENT

  • amazing :O!

  • I'm in highschool, we just sang this song for a music festival today so I thought I'd type it in. These kids are phenomonal and this piece was so difficult to learn. Especially the really fast part. I'm extremely I impressed

  • epic win.

  • AMAZING!!!!!

  • i love thier litttle british accents

  • this sounds so awesome

  • :D i is singing this tomorrow night ^_^

  • Phenomenal. I've got tingles in my fingers and tingles in my feet, and down my neck.

I also love the "under" in a sneaky Huddersfield accent...

  • It sounds so beautiful with a British accent.

  • this is...amazing.

  • That is awesome

  • formitablely performance

  • me and 3 girls are attempting this, tomorrow for our performance studies As level practical....

after seeing all these young 'uns doing it this well. i am less hopeful of our quality!! haha!

Well done though, this is amazing!!

  • wow wowowowowowow so good i never new how we sounded if any one wonders i am in that choir the one with blonde hair

  • @TheMarzzbar So the one the camera centers on at 1:07 ?

  • which one there is alot of blondes haha

  • I love this choir. It's nice to know these kids are enthusiastic and take it seriously. Half the kids in my choir take it as a joke.

  • There must be thousands of adult choirs the world over desperate to be at least half as good as these youngsters are.I hope one day these children have an idea just how good they really were.

  • Absolutely brilliant.

  • ......Wow. That....that was just wow...... I didn't even know kids could sing so phonetically perfect!

  • This choir is brill, alot of the kids have now moved on but the choir is still going and still great. They are from Huddersfield in Yorkshire

  • you sidneysand, may i ask you where this choir is from?

  • i am singing this song for chior!great job

  • me too. lol

  • Such a wonderful sound =^w^= Great job! :)

  • Well Im Just Saying I Have Heard Better.

  • @kevinjonaslover818 :you probably have,but not sung by children.Phil

  • This One Was Ok. I Have Heard Better.

I Mean It Sounds Like They Are All soprano.

There Is No Veriaty In The Voices. Still, Pretty Good ;)

  • Umm, they're children. Ankle biters tend to sound like that (I know, I used to be one once)! It would be scary as hell if there was a bass in there.

Personally I think it's wonderful. I love to see the enthusiasm that their tutor has managed to get from them.

  • Omigosh I wish my choir sounded this good! I'm sooo envious!

  • B R A V O ! ! !

  • buce... me and my choir are doing but way more cool this... im not saying this is bad... its awesome,,, just saying

  • oh my GODDDDDD(: i wish my choir was British, they sound so gorgeouss!! American accents arent good for anything, haha.

  • thats rite . . .

  • @xxkadieexx Haha, pretty much! I can sort of talk with a British accent. ^_^ And the students there are much more disciplined then my choir classmates. And we're actually going to sing this song! XD

  • lol they're better than the choir I'm in at my school... and we're like 4 years older...

  • lol same here

  • there r v.v.v.v.v. good

    i lv this song

  • omg they sound soo good i just wanna kick all of them lolsz, my choir doesn't sound that good.... yet! but i'll make sure we will sound 10 times better than them, even though they are astonishing and mind blowing, GOOD JOB CHILDREN!!!

  • OMG ! I just admire the way they sing . . .

They are so, so good, they are indeed so awesome . . .

Hats off to all the participants . . .

They are so sincere to their song, you could notice every move done in innocence . . .

May be there is a message that we should ought to learn from these kids . . .

    Dont you think ?

  • Wow! Inspiring! They are amazing!

  • their insane!! omigosh their so good! my choir sounds like nothing compared to them...

  • why do they keep sticking their necks out?

  • Duh its cos they are so into the song and are characterising the words and beat. So why dont you wind your neck back in lol

  • There accents are awesome, they are better then our choir

  • the blend is amazing!!

  • Holyshit these kids are so much better than the top audition choir at my school, and they are amazing.

  • lol they r good :P

  • I feel pathetic...i'm in a high school and they sing better than us...o.o the choir i'm in is singing in like a week

  • wow...they sing better than the high school choir i sing in...i fell kinda pitiful lol...aww now i'm depressed

  • were about to do this

  • iLOVE accent ! Hahaa(:

im singing this song in choir(:

    Their voices are so highh, they havent even gone threw puberty yettt;

    Lol

  • What I like is that they show emotion and some actually look like they enjoy it :D
