I loved Max's little comments throughout! The cornstarch is also unexpected - does it soften? Do they still melt in your mouth the way regular shortbread does? I'm fascinated. Great recipe.
This isn't the most lemony of recipes. I 'm going to try them again with fresh lemon peel and see how they turn out. I still have lots of fresh thyme left to use before it goes bad.
Last night I said to myself, "Tammy didn't do a VEDFAM today!" I was shocked. I think what happened is I don't see your face, so I assumed you hadn't.
I read your description box and have to say I am glad I did. I was going to immediately write, "did you like it?" HAHA Interesting that it didn't make it to the freezer!! There is my answer :)
OMG the money shots. OMG. SO GOOD (thanks for not covering them with subtitles)
Dan (just a vlogger) asked me for the French word of the day. It is an easy fun thing to add.
I thought the same thing! Don't cover the photos with subtitles next time! lol. I find the photos are a great short little time span to give my opinion of the recipe. I will do the narration kind of comment from now on. :)
oh my goodness Tammy I am drooling on my keyboard!! do you have any good recipies for plain shortbread like we discussed? I've never made it on my own before and would like a tried and true recipie. Any recemendations?
Excellent, Tammy...I am a great fan of herbs and I had this recipe and tried this before but I lost it..thanks for the video..I always get inspired to bake...you and Beth inspire me...hugs from rhode island
" That doesn't look like time " HAHAH I love you max!

Honey comes out of spoons better when the spoon is a bit creasy or oily.

You don't really notice the cornmeal in there.
They aren't quite as melt-in-your mouth as my "regular" shortbreads, but they do taste like shortbreads.
I prefer the shortbreads with cornstarch in them with very little flour though.

If you look at my recipe playlist you will find a traditional shortbread recipe there.
This is my most favourite shortbread recipe!
It is tried and true, though dough is a little finnicky, but worth it, they are melt in your mouth fabulous.
