If I remember correctly the only common opponents we had were Baylor, Oklahoma State, Tech, Nebraska, and OU. We both lost to OU, and the only difference is that we lost to tech. Yall lucked out and didn't have to play missouri or Kansas last year. It's hard to compare two teams based on wins when their schedules are different. This is probably why the better team is decided by a head to head game.
