The Koran compiled in the 8th and 9th centuries does not have any modern science in it, It doesn't even have the preexisting Greek science in it. It can't even quote the Bible accurately. In Short it's a mess. Dishonest apologists like Buicaille are only showing their ignorance .

the science in thequran was known at the time. in fact that verse about the iron falling out of the sky was known 4500 yrs b4 mohammed. everything about biology, geology was written in aristotles book hundreds of yrs b4 mohammed. the quran is not revealed; it was made up no doubt about it.

Furthermore, the quran says that Earth is flat

"And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out)." The Qur'an, Chapter 71, Verse 19 88:20

And at the Earth, how it is spread out

51:48

And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out!

Actually, there many more verses that mention the Earth is flat.

Also, most of modern Muslim scholars interpret the Quran in way that won't contradict modern science. Many christians try to do the same thing as well. It is not something new

What is funny for me is that in the Arab world, which makes up 20% of the worlds population, only two (2) scientific Nobel Prizes were awarded to Arab Muslims since 1911.

StopSpamming1, please stop spamming with your ignorance. The Arabs were responsible innitiating Ranaissance in Europe. They were responsible for numerous contribution to science, philosophy, arts etc. However, later on their civilization was destroyed by the invading forces (Mongols, Europeans etc.). It's hard to contribute to science when you've got a knife on your throat. The Chinese were one of the greatest inventors in the history. How many Nobel Prizes have they gotten? Exactly!

If you research the history of many of those inventions, you realise they are based off older ideas; even many famous muslim scientists and thinkers credited, accepted, and argued the works of Aristotle, Hippocrates, and Galen. One of the first was trained at a Persian academy (Harith Ibn Kalada) which was based on universal scientific knowledge.

I wouldn't really call this so much as a lecture, but just a doctor expressing a view which has little to no historical backing. This stuff never gets taken seriously at a university, and it's to no surprise that this chap has never published a peer reviewed science publication on anything he says. He just turns up to a religiously-biased institution of disinformation and expresses his experience of religion (opinion).

Why is it that the science crystallized within the Quran resulted in no space exploration, computers, automobiles, etc?
