You guys sounded amazing. The blend between each section was really great, and I loved the contrast in dynamics when you had them. It seemed like it was taken a little bit fast from what I'm used to...but it sounds incredible. Thank you for posting this. (:
This is my favourite version. We sang this version in college...There are...many versions out there...some are slower than others...but the harmonics of this one, makes it sound more of a Gregorian Chant....BRAVISSIMO!!!!
And those who say slow down...this is Mozarts version...don't be rude...
The copy I have of this, which is the original, says that this is by wolfgang amadeus mozart.haha.why is that,I wonder? My copy was also published in 1934,I'm sure by then they didn't knowthat it was written by Gasperini.Either way, great piece (:
To clarify things a little, the manuscript for this was originally discovered in Mozart's handwriting and assumed to have been composed by him. More recently however, musicologists have definitely shown it to have been the work of Q Gasparini, so Mozart must have copied it out for some reason. There are also (different) settings of this text by Lassus and Palestrina, amongst others.
translation : it's very good, the only thing missing is more lift/space in the soft palate for a darker and clearer sound and to give better projection
esta muy bien solo k en falta abrir un poco mas el paladar blando para lograr un sonido un poco mas obsucro y claro y para poder dar una mejor proyeccion
Altos were a little overpowering, to tell the truth...actually...hahah. still really good though! You don't find overpowering altos too often xP
