I was there that night. It was the first time I had watched DCI, and I fell in love with it that night. The Bridgemen are amazing, someone should get them back together as a DCI World Class corps. To see them and the Velvet Knights back would be amazing. Add in the 27th Lancers, and I'm in heaven. I'd finally have a corps to root for too! (Right now, I buy the shirt of my favortie show: Bluecoats in 2007, followed closely by Crown)
Get this now, they are a folded corp and they perform for fun. They do it to entertain the audience which every corp should be doing. The Bridgemen are just awesome, don't judge their performance, enjoy it.
Classic bridgemen, Hope they start playing again and not drop out. They always were funny as hell. Looks like they have work to do to get back to when I saw them in the finals. Got 5th that year. Came out like a ship rocking over invisible waves. Fairly badas$
I always liked The Bridgemen's "screw you" attitude; everybody else was always so damned serious. Probably pissed them off that the Bridgemen always ranked in the top twelve.
Well, first of all The bridgemen are not a marching band. They are a drum & bugle corps. Second, The Bridgemen were/are know in the drum corps activity for their zany irreverence to all things....well, just all things! LOL :-P Viva La Bridgemen!
I remember these guys...Great show. Frankie Barrows? was your lead bugle on Malaguena ? Heard he was killed in a car wreck just after DCI Finals. Was Maynard Ferguson in the booth in 1979 or 1980, blasting down on everyone...
we played this song for football season also, we have a smaller band than this one but we did it just as well. i didnt like the two solos on this one.cuz we played the solos at the begining with a trumpet and a alto sax.

Other than that i thought the band was good if i was to give it a rating from 1-10
