Mitch! If you see this, make sure when James get's to this point, to do the alternate ending by NOT touching the bonfire and instead exiting the arena the way you came! It's a much better ending!

Knight's Honor is the only hard one, and honestly, get 410 item discovery and it didn't take me more than 20 or 30 minutes to get any of the rare items. Most of which I had already gotten just from playing the game without trying to look for them.

Painful to play at times,but you feel a real sense of accomplishment when you succeed in the slightest bit of progression,whether it be defeating a boss or simply entering a castle. Fair play Mitch you're a legend for jumping in balls to the wall,we all know how much of a bastard the "Souls" series is. Best of luck with from Republic Of Ireland!

@XxOutcastxX1 Black Knight sword - when you upgrade it to Plus 5 (get twinkling titanite from the blacksmith in Anor Londo in order to do that) the damage it wields is devastating - enemies in most areas will be taken in one hit. In the Demon Ruins, it only takes three hits to kill the Taurus Demons who respawn. Boss fights are conquered really quickly with it. A greatly upgraded halberd is also really good - get some charcoal resin with it for fire attacks as well. Works very well.

You killed gwyn with the cheap iron flesh. The real way is to stand in front of him and parry his attacks dealing 1000+ dmg per strike.

Best walkthrough ever ! I loved every second of it and the deaths in the crystal cave were the absolute highlight.

I put about 30-40 hours into this game between two characters, quit at blighttown, and I have no intention of finishing it. I really appreciate the live commentary for most of the walkthrough. It seemed at times that I was playing right along with you, it was fantastic.

I just completed the game now, and even though you go through much tougher places later in the game that surpass the rigours of Blighttown, for me, that place is the quintessence of hell in every single way. Even though there are places later in the game that almost made me have a heart attack simply because of rage and fear, Blighttown will always leave a sour taste in the mouth. Worst level ever. Stay positive - you'll get through that place :)

Can we really classify this as an RPG? Your character doesn't say anything, the world isn't populated enough for anything besides combat, and it kinda resembles a stripped down roguelike. I'm thinking it's closer to a dungeon crawler like "Diablo" than an RPG as we usually use that term.

For future reference, to get the good ending light the fire, or if you wanna be evil get the bad ending. They are both great endings. But the bad ending tells you a lot more about the story and background of Dark Souls. Anyways, great game .

The "link the fire" ending is actually considered the bad ending because the gods still rule men. The other ending allows men to rule themselves and have freedom of choice - Dark Souls tries to trick you into thinking it is that bad ending when it is in fact supposed to be the good one that redeems men.
