While I have not been at a live Sissel performance, I have been in close proximity to others with great voices. It's so utterly shocking to hear someone, like Sissel, who has that amazing voice sing sing live. Shocking -- and spellbinding. Awesome!

Sissel has performed this song many times but I think this is the most lovely version. Ole Paus' lyrics are wonderful and her voice is transcendently beautiful. Everytime I hear "hvisker det hver kveld" *, my heart melts.

@MittRomey She's from the second largest city in Norway, Bergen. It's in (south) western Norway (it's only called western Norway), and the dialect there, and in southern Norway, have r's like this because of German traders in the middle ages that lived here and influenced the language. :)

I met her once on a gathering for all the artists in Bergen (Grieghallen), celebrating together the finishing of Bergen beeing the European Cultural Capital . This was in the end of the year 2000.
