@spicyMcHAGGIS9green the genre evolves buddy, just like any other. some elitists would even say artists like Skinny Puppy, Ministry or KMFDM are not industrial
this was cool, before it got into NIN it gave a background of other groups that influenced and were industrial, cool video reznorfan15. where did you get this from, was it on TV or an online series?
This is a cool documentary but people need to realize that NIN is not Industrial nor did Trent make Industrial music popular. It's Industrial Rock, a whole universe apart from actual Industrial groups like Coil and Throbbing Gristle. I wouldn't even call Skinny Puppy industrial in the real sense of the word, they're electro-industrial.
revolver magazine bloke sounds like hes just recycling some old line he heard on another documentary they were rebelling they rebelled they snnnnnooooooore.
@ejafjallajokul not yet im going to make my own industrial music only just made my first tune using feedback samples from a guitar and garageband software im hoping to get some music creator software from native instruments in time for christmas. my first tune i play it in cd form and use my microphone to sing the lyrics its like abc it means i dont have to rely on anyone else i dont get why more people dont just do it that way maybe have your guitar and rig it with effects but meh dont have to
well maybe genre but theres no limit to the expansion of the industrial genre maybe including random rants about your mother inlaw to the music or something the possibilities now are seriously staggering.
Don't get me wrong, I love NIN, but they're not industrial in the traditional sense.

Clearly, the first industrial album evar was Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music.

Do you really get that mad that people call NIN industrial? It's about the music itself, not how the media describes it.
