I believe its the same transmission used in Formula BMW and Champ Car Atlantic(though Atlantics may be using a different version of it made to handle more power). The engine, however, IS lifted straight out of the RX-8.

I always liked these small formula cars...F3, Formula Renault 2.0 and so on!
Im planning taking a racing weekend with Formula Renault 2.0, which is not that expensive!
I believe that is something EVERY motorsport enthusiast should allow themselves to try at least once!
I think it will be the biggest experience ever!!!
To lie with you ass 10 cm above the ground doing 250 kmph.
Not to mention the cornering speeds which by far exceeds the most expensive road supercars!!!

no, formula bmw shares the gearbox/tranny set with the Formula 3 cars. Atlantics have a 5 speed sequential, fbmw and f3 are 6 speed.

This is a star mazda car. It is not a Formula 1 car. It has a renesis rotary engine in it. Still its pretty fast.
