i met him through another eta'a manager , who is a close friend of shawn and others , i 've had the opportunity to get together with the worlds greatest etas as well as meeting cynthia pepper from '' kissing cousins '' , elvis's friends , the sweet inspirations , and one of his managers .
He's great. He used to do Elvis night at Comiskey Park. The white Sox must have gone cheap because the guy they've had doing it the last few years blows.
We just saw Shawn in concert tonight in Charlottetown ,P.E.I,NOV 18/2008 he has lost some weight since this show, and he was amazing,believe me see him live he will blow you away and the man has a great sense of humor

He just needs to work on the Elvis power notes more,they always seem to be flat and not there, "hurt,triolgy,how great", but that's whats good about having a good band and back up vocals behind you, helps with the vocal illustion.

It isn't concentration it is paying attention to the details which is exactly what makes Shawn the closest to the King Elvis Presley. Shawn is paying tribute to the greatest entertainer who ever lived and to him every little detail is important. Looks very natural in this video like he isn't even trying much just having fun with it. You can't make your voice sound like Elvis. Voice is a natural thing and if it doesn't sound like Elvis trying to make it sound like Elvis would sound very phony.

Trent is a true professional. I have said before, and I'll say it again, that he will need to watch his moves so they don't overlap...he knows what I mean...but he's good compared to many ETA's. Voice could do with a bit of work with the higher register. Hown do I know. I'm a singing coach of 23yrs for ETA's.
Great performance by Shawn, top marks! You must see the guy from the UK Darren H, he is very under rated presently but man he sure does a mean '68 Comeback!
