I like Kira's laugh in Japanese more, it sounds more like a tortured soul crying out with happiness. But I have to say that Ryuk's voice is so much better in the dubbed.

@VerifiedNature actually, it kind of can. the problem with the english dub is that the dialogue has to fit to the japanese lip synching, and so has to be manipulated, which means it ends up the way it's not supposed to be, and can often be hurried, as is seen several times in the english dub of Death Note. and then there's the problem of americanisation in a lot of anime, the obvious example being the stuff dubbed by 4kids.
