  • probably the most powerful scene in the history of disney. "you forgotten who you are, so you forgotten me".

  • Walt Disney: You have forgotten me?

    Disney: No! How could we?

Walt: You have forgotten who you are, and so forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Disney. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place as the Beacon in Life. Remember who you are. You are my child, and the one true King of Film.

  • This movie still makes me cry. It's such a powerful movie.

  • when the lion king came out with their special edition in 2005, they had spoken how when James Earl Jones did this part in the voice how they made his voice sound the way it did was they surrounded a bunch of microphones around his head to create that ghostly effect. Interesting, I thought.

  • 2:25 Mufasa looks more like a god than a ghost here.

  • Children: Disney, you have forgotten us..

Disney: No, how could I ?

Children: You have forgotten who you are and so forgotten us.. Look inside yourself, Disney. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place as our Guide through life...

Disney: How can I go back? I'm not what I used to be..

Children: Remember who you are.. You have brought us so many affecting movies in the past.. You are the one true maker of Movies.

    Remember who you are...

  • this is why this movie is a classic scenes like this that will impact you when your a kid and when your and adult.

  • Never question Rafiki...

  • "When the depths of Heaven open up, the King will appear!"

  • It's always this part, and not Mufasa's death scene, that always makes me cry!

  • i never wanted that to end

  • 1:49 - 2:45 powerful

  • Nice memories

  • For some reason the first time I watched this movie the bit with Simba scrambling through the undergrowth seemed to take five minutes...

  • "Remember... Remember... Remember..." - I would love to see a reenactment of the lion king... without the lions.

  • im 16 nd i still love this movie....this part is still my favorite...:D

  • Disney, you have forgotten us. You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten us. Look inside yourself, Disney. You are more than what you have become. Remember who you are.

  • @Pearlshire19 that's an understatement, there is no single group or individual to blame aside from the demographics and the trends of the times, they haven't forgotten us, more like they don't see the money pandering modern generation actually having brains enough to want effort in works these days so they feed them the crap they love and leave us hating that crowd more and more, disney is no longer a god amonst animated studios they are now a media hogging giant with no passion and love of art

  • @Jaegar19Ultima

    You're an idiot.

  • @jumbotate LMAO u mad bro? ;)

  • @Pearlshire19 AMEN

  • UNIQUE!!!!!!!!

  • thumbs up if u think its best movie ever!!!!!!

  • This scene was cool in 3D!

  • @KingRamses1017 It was!! Although it was a little blurry for me. I bet you can guess why. ;)

  • @sweetcinnamonpnchkin Glasses?

  • @Soulsilver12341 Good guess but no it was the epic flow of tears, no matter how much I blinked, the tears still came.

  • Hans Zimmer is the true god

  • mufasa looked like he was pissed at simba at 1:44

  • @rhythmman747 LOL! he does too!! XD

  • This made me cry

  • DAMN this is my favorite disney movie of all time. Although I was kind of ticked off when playing KH2 that they didn't use this entire scene. Nor did they follow it with the musical score for this scene. The music in Lion King is part of what makes its scenes so damn powerful.

  • "You see, he lives in you"

No matter how older i get that line will always make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. A very powerful, emotional scene for any age group.

  • pure, unadulterated magic! love it!

  • i remember this when i was a kid!

    *sigh*

    Disney,REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE.

  • ''you see? he lives.. in you.'' that's probably gonna be the thing I'm gonna remember after my father dies someday. That quote feels strong even though my father is alive, but when he dies, I will probably ball out.

  • Wut was DAT? Da weather around here... very peculiar, don't you tink?

  • i love rafiki!

  • one of my favourite scenes! gives me chillss

  • Imagine how this would look in 3D

  • Such a powerful scene! I can't remember if I cried 17 years ago when I first saw it (also at the cinema), but today again in the cinema and in 3D it almost did the trick, hahaha...

Thumps up to Mr. James Earl Jones, the voice that will down in history for creating such intense moments as this!

  • Okay, this scene makes me cry. Lol

  • Thumbs up at 1:21-1:22 if you hear a woodpecker off in the distance.

  • It wasnt Mufasa's ghost

It was the real mufasa,nd i believe in it...

  • I try not too cry, but even now that I'm 30 i still ball my eyes out. I LOVE Mufasa!!!

  • Am I the only one who would sell their soul to hear Mufasa say 'I am your father' in THIS movie as well?!

  • Goosebumps every goddamn time!

  • Easily one of the most intense scenes in ANY Disney movie!

  • I can't remember if this gave me shivers at the age of 6. But it's definitely giving me shivers at the age of 20.

  • @Izilee sheesh, it's giving me chills at the age of 32!

  • @Izilee Im 11 years old and it still gives me the shivers when i was 5 i wont even sleep at night

  • @Izilee I'm 20 too. Same.

  • 1:41-2:56

have never left me in tears when i was 7 years old

but has got me now when i'm 18

i mean, look at the animation of Mufasas ghost

THAT'S how Disney should do animation nowadays

  • @lotten16 It's a shame it's gotten so much worse over the years. I miss good old hand drawn art.

  • Mufasa's ghost: Remmber....

    Simba: Father don't leave me!!

    Mufasa's ghost: Remmber *Vanishes*

  • I peed my pants at 2:26

  • Mufasa in this scene sounds like what God would sound like. James Earl Jones is the best actor and voiced the best character in disney in my opinion. The Lion King the the best movie hands down!

  • Very Very Powerful. Loved it!

  • This part is so touching and emotional! This made me cry as well as the scene where he died, but such a classic movie!!!
