@mentalfeed70 The latest Weezer album is generally regarded as horrible, anything after Green album is really for the most part. Same with Chinese Democracy. On Prindle's website his reviews show that he likes early GnR and the first 2 Weezer albums.

@mentalfeed70 allmusic just gives everything 3, 3.5, or 4 stars nowadays. If you like a site that says "every album released in the past few years is good but not great", that's fine, but don't find that many others share your position.

@MasterYumyums they are not that overly positive you should see what they gave Chris cornell's pop album scream or screams or what ever it is called or linkin parks past few albums sure allmusic can be controversial like giving NIN's the downward Spiral 4 stars while they gave wingers first album 4.5 stars but oh well there have to be some things that you 100% disagree with but there were way worst albums than weezer and G'NR's albums and that's a fact.

@mentalfeed70 But if you look at their page, every new album is a 3-4 star, mostly just 4 stars. That's not reviewing, that's pleasing everyone. Sure they give the obvious ones low ratings (Chocolate Starfish and stuff), and the not current stuff is not always the popular opinion (Saying Red is weaker than Larks' Tongues AND Starless and Bible Black?!), but for the past few years it just seems like they're doing promotional work for almost every band.

@MasterYumyums All I'm saying is that Prind puts his opinions online for everyone to judge him by and yell at him for (look at his Linkin Park page, the comments are hilarious). And I respect him for that, even if I don't agree with all of his opinions.

@MasterYumyums well katy perry has nothing but bad reviews and her stuff is pretty new and for the new albums i can't say much for that i usually don't keep up with the new scene i just read reviews for stuff that i am more familar with and sure allmusic is not perfect but i tend to agree with them more. if there is a website that you seem to agree with then tell me i would like to check it out.

@mentalfeed70 Well, Prindle's own site is good. I don't agree with all of his choices, but his reviews are really funny and creative. For factual reviews I go to George Starostin's old website or John McFerrin's site, but that's really if you're more into 60's and 70's music (and that's what I mostly like). There's no perfect answer.

And I know allmusic is mostly spot-on for albums 10 years old or older. But that's because they just take the popular opinion at that point. That's easy to do
