  • getting shot in the face and not dying immediately sucks ass

  • Cet acteur= l'Orson Welles d'aujourd'hui.

  • @dieudutonnerre maybe you should clean your ass cuz your just as much fulla' shit you twat

  • This is not a bar, it's a diner.

  • Omg that was gross

  • @Callofduty4nub

I agree, it was kind of hard to masturbate to.

  • I need to watch this film. Just this scene has a kind of "Taxi driver" feeling.

  • i said...COFFEE¡¡

  • The French dub makes everything sound so cultured.

  • @malcom82X and what i said i was french as well?

  • everything sounds shit in french

  • @pullupboy that would defeat the entire purpose of the film. It's to expose society's addiction to violence, not glorify the act itself.

  • if that man is tom stall am fucking monkey's uncle

  • would love to see a joey cusack prequel in his heydey

  • 1:05 hes all like NOM NOM NOM

  • Dubbing is so fucking stupid

  • This is dubbed shit, so you are all a bunch of f...ing retards.

  • I like movies that are accurate like this. The guy doesn't go down by a knife in the foot, and the other guy is still breathing with a gun shot to the face. Harsh but realistic.

  • @remsensor Accurate? How did he not get shot while going for the gun? He had no cover. If the movie was accurate he'd be dead (or at least hit).

  • @ewthmatth the dude shooting at him was most likey untrained :/

  • That scene is purely crap'n'shit.

  • Hey, its even better in French! But a professional would have only shot the guy in the doorway twice, a double tap, not four times!

  • @Lehmann108 that's right. there are a very few movie better in french version, some like Fight Club are better un fr, I think.

  • @sekahkiller Fight Club isn't better in French trust me...

In fact original version is always better than french version

  • @simasgar Well that's not my opinion so I don't think I'm gonna trust you

  • @sekahkiller Ok, i'm french by the way

  • @simasgar My mother is french and my father's american so this is not like I've heard only one version my whole life. alors arrete de m'casser les couilles et de me dire ce que jdois penser

  • Is this movie against violence, or for it?

Tom Stall's "history of violence" is shown as having a positive effect here; he save the lives of everyone in the diner, through violence. And while this does brings violent people from his past, in the end he sucessfully resolves the situation, again through violence. Almost all the people truly hurt by violence in the movie are violent themselves, even the junior thug in the high school.

So what's Cronenburg trying to say?

  • Violence is only useful when it is absolutely necessary. Only those who know how to control themselves and know when to back down from a fight can truly use violence the way it was meant to be used; to protect yourself and loved ones from the scum of the earth.

  • what i wouldnt do to have a man like that, he can protect you everywhere i'm in love ee0.0 <333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333

  • Violence is only useful when it is absolutely necessary. Only those who know how to control themselves and know when to back down from a fight can truly use violence the way it was meant to be used; to protect yourself and loved ones from the scum of the earth.

  • sorry, replied to the wrong person :P

  • The actor, as we all know, in 0:12 is Canadian actor Stephen McHattie. I look like him- or I at least WILL look like him when I'm in my mid 50's. lol. Cool scene. One of my favorites in this film.

  • you dont fuck with viggo mortenson

  • FUCKING FRENCH!!! this is not even the full god damn scene!!

  • What kind of a fucking dumbass would stab someone in the foot when that someone has a gun? Retard deserved the bullet.

  • well, if you didn't want to go prison and you don't like it when someone throws hot coffee at you face

  • try looking down the barrel of a gun and not having one yourself. You have obviously never been in a situation such as tis i.e. where someone is threatening your life, so SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GO AND COMMENT ON SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE OF...or try joinining the armed forces to get a bit of backbone!!!

  • If only all the world's sick, criminal psychos could meet a fate like that. Ah well.....one can dream..

  • he sure don't like anyone saying his moms fat

  • for some reason it sounds kinder and gentler in french.

  • 1:05 - neat...

  • 1:03*

  • Man....stop staring and pull the knife out!

  • Fucking. Awesome.

  • wat a friggin way to die. luv it

  • wtf this is america

  • Canada, on my end.

  • The direction of his feet makes no sense for that stabbing shot. It just adds to how fucking terrible this stupid movie is.

  • How can you determine that this movie is stupid and terrible based on trivial things like the direction of Tom's feet?

The only one that is stupid here is YOU.

  • Damn, it looked like his someone put a grenade in his mouth! Does he even have a cheek now?

  • You have to be the most retarded person I have ever witnessed the existence of.

Joey Cusack created the person Tom Stall in an attempt to get away from the company he and Richie were involved with. Brainwashing had nothing to do with it. Having lived for many years as Tom Stall, and getting used to Tom Stall's calm life he distances himself completely from Joey Cusack. That doesn't mean he's forgotten Joey, though, nor his time as Joey. Therefore, he can still kick ass when the need arises.

  • he has a history of violence.

    so manny orks

    he must be brainwashed

  • man, don't ever, EVER fuck with Viggo. he just proved what happens when you do.

  • holy Sh*t

  • disgusting awesome.

  • Cook me up some Freedom Fries - NOW!!!

  • He seem to be easy at killing, wasn't he a mobster before?

  • Yes he was, watch the movie !

  • are there any band aids big enough for that guy's face?

  • Lol, first comment I read.

  • when i heard about Eastern Promises after seeing this a year b4...it was a movie i anticipated the most in a LONG TIME...both movies are A+

  • viggo is the shit!

  • that guys face was gone

  • The thing that's so shocking about this movie is that the violence is really believable. It's not like "Tom" knows karate all of a sudden, but the old Joey instincts are still there; at the end of the fight, he seems surprised to find a smoking gun in his hand.

  • yeaaaa exactlyyyyy

  • did the guy that stabbed viggo in the foot desverve to get shot in the back of the face

  • He might have not deserved it, but he asked for it. It was Viggo's reaction, or would you have it in his back...???

  • take that MOTHER FUCKER!

  • this movie is violent yikes

  • 1:04, damn, that hurts.

  • that guy that stabed his foot is dumb as hell. even knowing that he had a gun

  • English Please i can't understand what they are saying.

  • i guess they didnt like the coffee :\

  • umm no shit

  • take a look at when Viggo shots in the guys head, there is blood split on that fllor before he even put the trigger.

  • cuz he got a coffee jar smashed over his face

  • maybe but not that much.. and take a look ati it more better... he felt away on the floor, then hit him with a knife, and if he was on the place where he picked a smash by coffe jar the blood would be all over the place not just under his head..

  • Your Ruining the Magic of Cinema :P lol...

    Well spotted though

  • Dude Viggo is so fuckin Badass in this fuckin movie. I love the turnover shoot in the face thing. Viggo...you're the man!

  • In the comics it made him look professional (scarily so) to drive home the mystery of his skill as a killer. In the movie he's so sloppy it looks like whatever anybody would do in the same situation (sans perhaps shooting the guy in the head). Not so good.

  • *Insert hardcore french accent* "Hey, tête de merde!... Poor me a cup o'coffee, or I'll kill you!". :D Hehehe!

  • French makes me laugh, it's such a "baquette'n wine" language. I expect a waitress to get me some dinner when I hear it, and not a shootout! :D HAHA! Well, I honestly like french a lot better than german or spanish. =)

  • That close-up of the robber on the floor made me seriously groan when I first saw the movie at the theater... I'm holding tightly onto my jawbone as I type! LOL

  • haha, that is such a realistic gun sound

  • Yeah, the sound effects in this film are absolutely terrible. The only thing about it I didn't like.

  • Holy wow those are terrible gun sounds

isn't that sound like some public domain stock gun sound?

  • Yeah they are, and as a sound editor in training myself, I find it absolutely appalling the lack of effort put into this films sound design.

  • sounds just like a desert eagle on counter-strike... hahaha

  • lmfao i never noticed the gun sounds till after a second viewing of this scene

  • MrTennek - I guess you mean you find appalling the lack of effort put into the FRENCH DUBBING'S sound design. I am not certain the film's original sound shares the same flaw.

  • I'm afraid it does. I own the original, un-dubbed DVD and it sounds exactly the same.

  • Damn violent movie. Good one too. And yes, that is realistic.

  • LOL timr75 said it all THUMBS UP TO U

hey did u guys hear about the new french tank they designed, 1 gear for acceleration and 7 gears for reverse?

  • @Malcolm82X no. French RULED hahaha

  • WE WANT ENGLISH BIIIIIIIIITCH

  • Aweeeesome scene, too bad it's not in English:/

  • Wow, real lucky with the screenshot: right when you get the muzzle flash.

  • nar.
