u have shit aim the best gunman ive seen so far that has great aim no matter what gun its hickock45 give him any gun he will get the gong the first or the second shot
Nothing against hickock45, he's definitely a gun Guru, but hitting a 6" gong is way different than hitting a 2" sticker on a larger background... Go head to head with Fancy and he'll tear you up...
@teamwinstonismad I had to block you for repeatedly leaving lame comments like this. He IS a civilian now, because he retired last December with 20 years served in the USAF. Now who is the douche? -- Veri
@Malcrosternus moron huh. I'll bet money I shoot more a week than you do in 6 months amateur. combat vet and over 20 years experience in tactical arena and gunsmithing. Ruger autoloaders are crap.
Thank you for your service. My great-grandfather is a WWII veteran. Juno Beach. I don't really care about your past. What I care about are people that make claims like yours with absolutely no base. Care to explain why my Rugers have never malfunctioned on me? Why, after hitting the 5000-round mark on my SR9 alone that it has jammed on none of them? Actually, don't. I don't care. Keep your claims. Sorry you had such a bad experience with Ruger, but mine are strong.
@Malcrosternus Everything from the P89 up has had consistant feeding problems, many models failed LE standard "drop Safe" tests. If you wanna carry the cheapest handgun you can find knock yourself out, you aren't watching my back so I don't care.
You cared enough to post. You cared enough to validate your opinion by telling me your experience. You cared enough to slam the SR9 in an overview about it. So, if you truly don't care, stop trying to prove that your opinion is somehow the only right opinion. Actually, I'll do that for you. Communications blocked.
@Malcrosternus .I have a P85 Mk2 that is getting on average 300 rnd s a month since Ive owned if for the last ten years, plus whoever owned it before me...all original except for the Houge grips on it.It has run ammo that Glocks,Barrettas,Tangfoglios, CZ wont feed/ cycle. It will eat with gusto and ask for more,a pistol the military should have accepted,.Im suspecting the warrior is a Glock Monkey. And how many Glocks are getting repaired for frame cracking after how many rounds?
@shawny142 The 30-06, that is unless you want a rifle, shotgun, and handgun. Then sell the .357. But I say sell the 30-06 because of the ammo expense. You will save even more money not having to pay 1.50$ a round. Thats just my .02. Of course it is up to you so decide which one you can do without.
@Wishiculd For CCW, I'd go with the Ruger because it is thinner and lighter. For just range shooting, I personally prefer the 92fs. The regular 92fs does not have a rail for a flashlight, which is a good thing to have. The new 2011 Berettas do have that rail.
I just bought this gun and after 100 rds the cam block pin walked out. It is kept in place by a spring tail from the slide stop lever. I don't know if it was not caught in the grove or if its a problem. I used a small drop of red locktit on the spring tail and pin. I will see if that fixes it or if its a problem form the factory.
@MLarson01 the u22 and is a great gun to get a lot of shooting done with, but it is a huge transition to a centerfire, you have to train for a lot more control with the larger round.
I can shoot a head sized target at 30 yards with a pellet gun, but I'm not going to be a cocky moron about it because I realize in a gunfight I would be trying to dry my pants and pick up the bullets I fumbled around onto the ground. Knowing how to shoot an inanimate object is just that.
@TheThroney This vid is old, and right during this time, Nutn really sliced into himself with a Spyderco Tenacious. He should have had a stitch or two in it, but didn't and it took forever to heal. So he kept cutting it open repeatedly..lol Its healed now, of course, but he uses his hands pretty rough, and yes, they are big hands, so he is always beating them up and cutting them open one way or another. -- Veri
i have a little gap between my silver part and black part at the end of the barrel..does any body else have this ....also will it effect my gun at all.....please reply
@HYBRIDCOMBATIVES o by the way to clarify lol.. I carry a Ruger SP101 as EDC defnsive piece, so I am nota Ruger basher, I think they make the best revolvers in the world. However, their autoloaders are mostly clunky boat anchors. Kudos that they finally put out a pistol that is kick ass.
@HYBRIDCOMBATIVES , the sr9 is a slim as a single stack 1911, thats the main craze about the pistol, i like the p95 but it is a lil chunky, however the sr9 is un beleivably slim i cant believe its a double stack, and actualy the sr9 is originaly a kimber design, look up the kimber KDP that was never released
i love my sr9 i got it when they first came out had the recall done and then some trigger work. the only jams i have had are from cheap ammo. i like it much more than my sig 226 9mm.
It seems you either hate or love the SR9! I had one and will get another because I miss it! It was a tack driver and was very comfortable in hand...sorry I sold it now. Some people must get lemons or something.
I think I've watched almost all your videos and you seem to be very knowledgable and skilled in the field you discuss. In most cases, we share the same opinions but I couldn't disagree with you more about the SR9. I picked one up at a gunshow for a little over 300 and took it to the range immediately with high expectations. I havn't been this disapointed in a firearm since my first experience with a taurus (24/7). The ruger feels great in my hand until its fired. Try again ruger.
I tried out an sr9 at my local shooting range, and it jammed 3 times in a row. I got it "lubed" by the guy behind the counter, and i shot it again. 2 jams in a row.
What do you think of this gun vs the taurus 24/7 pro. I like the 24/7 has better features and fits the hand better. I also hear many people complaining about the SR9 being recalled, having a gritty trigger and shaving lead due to the feed ramp. how do you feel without the "its a ruger"thing lol.
Hehe I remember when you sliced yourself with that tenacious. That was a nasty nut. I've had my tenacious for over a year now. One of my favorite knives for the money.
Sorry off topic
I'm still trying to make up my mind sr9 or glock 17... These videos help thanks.
I want a 9MM for training purposes. Was looking at the Glock, but I like having a safety and the SR9 gives it all for under $400. How can you go wrong, and it seems you give it a thumbs up. :)
I bought the gun when frist came out. Loved it, then it got recaled due to drope safty and trigger. Got to a free mag and hat out of it. When you say trigger little stiff that came after the new tigger. It was a very nice trigger before the recall. Did not like new trigger so trade for a Beretta 92F
Nutnfancy, I love your videos and Ruger makes a great weapon...but my dad recently purchased this gun because he is a huge Ruger fan......Do you think that you old school Ruger guys are biased? Everything about this gun is cheap looking and cheap feeling to me....the slide has sharp edges and is very unforgiving...... My dad loves it though of course and I can tell you did as well....Thanks for the videos though and keep up the great work!
I own one of these and I love it only complaint is it's hard to find holsters and clips for it without having to order them(local stores only carry the firearm itself). on another note for anyone trying to find a light I have a tlr 2 on mine, it works great and is fairly easy to get on and off quickly so I can still use the holster I have, all in all its a great sidearm for the price and because it's so simple to use and maintain I would recommend it for a first time pistol owner
I think that is from the Tenacious knife that he cut himself with. See "Tenacious Cut" video.. The man is always cutting/gouging himself with something or other. Last time it was a sharp rock in an underwater test on a flashlight. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)
Dude.. great videos.. love them.. the glock and sig ones are just fab.. Wonder if you would cover CZ 75s sometime..
Another question.. is there anything in 7.65 (.32 ACP) that is worth? I am going back to India where 9mm is not allowed for civilians.. I am thinking about something like CZ 83 or Walther PPK/S..
@theduke502 LOL our Dad was the same way. In fact, I like that about Nutn..Dad is gone, but Nutn's hands have always been almost an exact duplicate...kind of a comfort. -- Veri
@nutnfancy Yeah, I hear ya on that one. I don't really talk to my father much, but I know he probably still ends up with some kind of battle wound whenever he works on something. I guess I inherited that after him. But at least I wear gloves, whereas he doesn't :D
I got to shoot the SR-9 when a Ruger rep. was at a local gun store, the best shooting I've ever done. Loved the way it felt, just holding it and shooting it.
i own one of these, they are sweet, mine trigger oull was tight as well, and safety eject was hard, it took 2 thumbs and alotta pressure to eject mag but with a few boxes of shells everything is nice and smooth now, i love it, it is my concealed carry gun so its with me day in and day out, Ruger makes a good gun, i also own a p90, but the sr9 is the shit, shoots great
recommend the ruger sr9 to anyone who is looking for a good target pistol, as well as for home defense. shoots great, awesome action, easy to aim, only down side is you really have to squeeze the trigger, with practice you'll get used to it. i give it a 9 out of 10.
A very nice job! I will order one and thanks!

Holy crap, that ricochet sounded like it went right by you, nutnfancy, at 2:24/2:25.

I own one of these and I love it only complaint is it's hard to find holsters and clips for it without having to order them(local stores only carry the firearm itself). on another note for anyone trying to find a light I have a tlr 2 on mine, it works great and is fairly easy to get on and off quickly so I can still use the holster I have, all in all its a great sidearm for the price and because it's so simple to use and maintain I would recommend it for a first time pistol owner

is that war wound some slide bite?? yeeeouchh...
marlo916 2 years ago
I think that is from the Tenacious knife that he cut himself with. See "Tenacious Cut" video.. The man is always cutting/gouging himself with something or other. Last time it was a sharp rock in an underwater test on a flashlight. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

@nutnfancy
Dude.. great videos.. love them.. the glock and sig ones are just fab.. Wonder if you would cover CZ 75s sometime..
Another question.. is there anything in 7.65 (.32 ACP) that is worth? I am going back to India where 9mm is not allowed for civilians.. I am thinking about something like CZ 83 or Walther PPK/S..
Thanks..

@nutnfancy "The man is always cutting/gouging himself with something or other" ROFL! Heh, reminds me of my dad (^_^)

@nutnfancy lol...with a sharp rock...wow..

I got to shoot the SR-9 when a Ruger rep. was at a local gun store, the best shooting I've ever done. Loved the way it felt, just holding it and shooting it.

Just shot it last week along with my Glock 17 and I think i like the Ruger better.

riverdave7 2 years ago
how do you de-cock the sr9?
geetar72 2 years ago
i own one of these, they are sweet, mine trigger oull was tight as well, and safety eject was hard, it took 2 thumbs and alotta pressure to eject mag but with a few boxes of shells everything is nice and smooth now, i love it, it is my concealed carry gun so its with me day in and day out, Ruger makes a good gun, i also own a p90, but the sr9 is the shit, shoots great

Between 7 feet to 10 yds is pistol range in combat or self defense.
reedykilowat 2 years ago
is 10 yards far?
tripmatt1 2 years ago
tripmatt1 : 30 feet is about 10 yards.
looks like a nice pistol.
WAFFLES081 2 years ago
I know I was joking. when I practice I always shoot my glock and 1911 at 25 yards off hand. Then do drill about 15-25 yards away.
tripmatt1 2 years ago
if your eyes are jacked up... then me watching this video for acuracy is useless!

lol war wound xD what happened? haha
SuperDwang 2 years ago
recommend the ruger sr9 to anyone who is looking for a good target pistol, as well as for home defense. shoots great, awesome action, easy to aim, only down side is you really have to squeeze the trigger, with practice you'll get used to it. i give it a 9 out of 10.
