  • A very nice job! I will order one and thanks!

  • Where do you shoot.....Do you just go out in the desert and set stuff up or is this an actuall range you go to......Id like to find a place I can just go and shoot like this.

  • @anson22m Its public land where you can go do stuff like this if you want.

  • Nice War wound! Was it a trigger bite from hell? So the SR9, American Made, Reliable, Lots of round, Efficient. You helped me figure out my next handgun. Thanks again NutNFancy, your reviews. ROCK!

  • Really love it, but it's picky on ammo...

  • good stuff. enjoyable~!

  • I already bought this gun but the 3 day waiting period seems like it's taking too long!..lol...I can't wait to take her to the range!

  • fucking canadian cammies

  • Why does he rarely ever do drills from the holster or with a shot timer? seems like most of these review vids are just plinking.

  • Why did you put the knife on your back? You obviously know your biz, so i'm just guessing it looks cool.

  • @verfugbarkite So you can reach up over your shoulder and grab it, it actually works good for me. and totally out of the way too

  • >Clip

    YOU WH-

    > Magazine

Oh good, you actually corrected yourself.

  • WOW-

    Nutn has lost some weight!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey what do you prefer, the SR9 or the P95

  • because of the striker fire why don't you need the safety at all times?

  • Veri... first off thanks for vetoing the douche nozzle that keeps showing up on ntun's posts. I had something else in mind, however banning him will work. For now. Next off, thanks to both of ya'll for the great vids. I appreciate the good work, and look forward to seeing more! oh.. and yeah... LMAO at "dont know if my mama smacked me too hard..." :) Ya'll ROCK!!! Much love and appreciation from Austin, Texas!

  • @FestivalJester Thank YOU for watching, and much love and appreciation right back, Jester. -- Veri

  • @FestivalJester I always thought douche nozzle was my word. >:(

  • with or without that gear. that man have all my respect.

  • She did!

  • Just curious but what brand/model are the targets that Nutn is shooting in this video?

  • i heard a richochet

  • People seem to be hating on Nutn all the time. Perhaps its because he devotes all of his spare time to giving people useful, impartial information and entertainment for free.

  • 1:56 KIFE

  • u have shit aim the best gunman ive seen so far that has great aim no matter what gun its hickock45 give him any gun he will get the gong the first or the second shot

  • @Bozo7891

Nothing against hickock45, he's definitely a gun Guru, but hitting a 6" gong is way different than hitting a 2" sticker on a larger background... Go head to head with Fancy and he'll tear you up...

  • I tend too shoot low left what should i do to change the sites.

  • @onebigkahuna69

You want to drift your back sight slightly to the right and let it up (taller) to help bring you in one target...

  • Is that a cold steel kobun on your back?

  • @teamwinstonismad I had to block you for repeatedly leaving lame comments like this. He IS a civilian now, because he retired last December with 20 years served in the USAF. Now who is the douche? -- Veri

  • @teamwinstonismad owned, someone needs a life

  • My SR9 shoots too high also.

  • "That one friggin rocks!" HAHA that made me LOL

  • Shot the SR9 yesterday

  • i own a .357 magnum, a 30-06 and a Remington 870, i want this gun SO BAD, which one should i sell to buy this one?

  • @shawny142 save your money the SR9 is a piece of shit.

  • @SpartanCombativesGrp

Disregard this moron's advice. Keep your guns if you can, and just save up here and there. Before you know it you'll have the money.

  • @Malcrosternus moron huh. I'll bet money I shoot more a week than you do in 6 months amateur. combat vet and over 20 years experience in tactical arena and gunsmithing. Ruger autoloaders are crap.

  • @SpartanCombativesGrp

Thank you for your service. My great-grandfather is a WWII veteran. Juno Beach. I don't really care about your past. What I care about are people that make claims like yours with absolutely no base. Care to explain why my Rugers have never malfunctioned on me? Why, after hitting the 5000-round mark on my SR9 alone that it has jammed on none of them? Actually, don't. I don't care. Keep your claims. Sorry you had such a bad experience with Ruger, but mine are strong.

  • @Malcrosternus Everything from the P89 up has had consistant feeding problems, many models failed LE standard "drop Safe" tests. If you wanna carry the cheapest handgun you can find knock yourself out, you aren't watching my back so I don't care.

  • @SpartanCombativesGrp

You cared enough to post. You cared enough to validate your opinion by telling me your experience. You cared enough to slam the SR9 in an overview about it. So, if you truly don't care, stop trying to prove that your opinion is somehow the only right opinion. Actually, I'll do that for you. Communications blocked.

  • @Malcrosternus .I have a P85 Mk2 that is getting on average 300 rnd s a month since Ive owned if for the last ten years, plus whoever owned it before me...all original except for the Houge grips on it.It has run ammo that Glocks,Barrettas,Tangfoglios, CZ wont feed/ cycle. It will eat with gusto and ask for more,a pistol the military should have accepted,.Im suspecting the warrior is a Glock Monkey. And how many Glocks are getting repaired for frame cracking after how many rounds?

  • @shawny142 The 30-06, that is unless you want a rifle, shotgun, and handgun. Then sell the .357. But I say sell the 30-06 because of the ammo expense. You will save even more money not having to pay 1.50$ a round. Thats just my .02. Of course it is up to you so decide which one you can do without.

  • Very great info. I would like to know whaere to get one of those vests. Thanks.

  • i cant decide on the sr9 or the Beretta 92fs for my first 9mm

  • @Wishiculd For CCW, I'd go with the Ruger because it is thinner and lighter. For just range shooting, I personally prefer the 92fs. The regular 92fs does not have a rail for a flashlight, which is a good thing to have. The new 2011 Berettas do have that rail.

  • not a big fan of the sr9 didnt really fit me very much i prefer my glock

  • Yours shots go to the left because you shoot right handed and aim with your left eye

  • I just bought this gun and after 100 rds the cam block pin walked out. It is kept in place by a spring tail from the slide stop lever. I don't know if it was not caught in the grove or if its a problem. I used a small drop of red locktit on the spring tail and pin. I will see if that fixes it or if its a problem form the factory.

  • its funny he said he never shot it before, cause this was the first gun i've ever shot.

    brings back memories.

  • Thats a interesting way to cary your knife, nutnfancy.

  • Dude, if the SHTF, i'm coming to your house!

  • SR9 vs U22 Neos

which is better to learn with?

    price aside,

    other options appreciated greatly.

  • @MLarson01 If its your first gun, get the beretta (or a ruger mark 2 or a browning buckmark) if not, get the SR9

  • @MLarson01 the u22 and is a great gun to get a lot of shooting done with, but it is a huge transition to a centerfire, you have to train for a lot more control with the larger round.

  • 4:07 LMAO i just kinda lost it there

  • at 2:17 I was shocked that you didn't start talking again...

  • I have the same problem shooting to the left nutn. I just bought a new Ruger P95 and indeed I did shoot about and inch to the left.

  • omg that ricochet almost got you.

oh fancynutss will you recomend it for CCW?

  • omg that ricochet almost got you.

  • hey nutn, did u hear that theu came out with a .40 cal version of this called the sr40, its pretty cool

  • so did he change his mind about the sr9 or what?

  • great view.. was that bullets coming back toward you? sounds like it in the video

  • @thegamechiken

I can shoot a head sized target at 30 yards with a pellet gun, but I'm not going to be a cocky moron about it because I realize in a gunfight I would be trying to dry my pants and pick up the bullets I fumbled around onto the ground. Knowing how to shoot an inanimate object is just that.

  • He seems like the nicest guy but I would still run like hell if I saw him walking towards me in full gear alone in the desert.

  • @Grungadin LOL! Good point -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy how come Nutn's finger is always bloody? is it from firing the weapons and having big hands or something? thanks -- Throney

  • @TheThroney This vid is old, and right during this time, Nutn really sliced into himself with a Spyderco Tenacious. He should have had a stitch or two in it, but didn't and it took forever to heal. So he kept cutting it open repeatedly..lol Its healed now, of course, but he uses his hands pretty rough, and yes, they are big hands, so he is always beating them up and cutting them open one way or another. -- Veri

  • @TheThroney slidebite is my guess.. but it seems like he knows enough about guns to NOt do that.. lol

  • at that speed, grouping is very easy.

  • if i had a petty theft on my record will i be approved to purchase a gun ? thanks

  • probably shoot to the left because you talk to the left ;-)

  • lol at 0:40 he says he needs to hurry up and get shooting, then at 2:00 hes still talking

then he says "lets shoot, enough talking" and turns around to fire...and immediately turns back around to talk for 10 seconds hahaha

    good times.

  • Omar Thornton endorses the Ruger SR9. He liked it so much, he used two of them!

  • This in NM? Sure looks like it...

  • So glad you corrected yourself saying magazine instead of "clip", even I do that sometimes and I feel so stupid haha.

  • To skylerbob8: Yes indeed, all day long. It's a typical tough Ruger.

  • will this pistol handle +p+ loads?

  • Nutn, I bought this gun on your reccomendation. I love it. I love your videos rock on..

  • At 2:25, you totally hear a Clint Eastwood-like ricochet. That's just awesome. Nice shooting.

  • hey Nutnfancy

can u tell me what kind of knife it is on the back please?

    thanks

  • Looks like you lost some weight since recording this.

  • i have a little gap between my silver part and black part at the end of the barrel..does any body else have this ....also will it effect my gun at all.....please reply

  • @merrickmcbride16 your gun is fine my sr9 is the same dont worry about it.

  • @merrickmcbride16 I've seen that gap on the SR9's as well. Seems odd, but I don't think it's a defect; just the way is was designed.

  • thanks you takin time out of your day to give us this great content! oh, and btw, what's that knife you've got on your back??

  • he would say clip

  • @SalamiLalami and of couse the sound the weapon makes is the important part. jackass

  • good shooting man. those are some great groups.

  • pretty goodhandgun compared to the piece of shit boat anchors that Ruger has produced in the past.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES o by the way to clarify lol.. I carry a Ruger SP101 as EDC defnsive piece, so I am nota Ruger basher, I think they make the best revolvers in the world. However, their autoloaders are mostly clunky boat anchors. Kudos that they finally put out a pistol that is kick ass.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES , the sr9 is a slim as a single stack 1911, thats the main craze about the pistol, i like the p95 but it is a lil chunky, however the sr9 is un beleivably slim i cant believe its a double stack, and actualy the sr9 is originaly a kimber design, look up the kimber KDP that was never released

  • @davism4a1 i am aware of what it is. I am a tactical competitive shooter, combat vet, kali instructor, and a BIG fan of the 1911..

  • thats pretty amazing compared to my groups which come out to like 4 inches apart from 10 yards

  • hey nut. can you expand a little on why u put your knife there? im not talking smack brother just curious

  • Clip?!? Oh come on Nutn....

    Good review as always.

  • i love my sr9 i got it when they first came out had the recall done and then some trigger work. the only jams i have had are from cheap ammo. i like it much more than my sig 226 9mm.

  • I love this gun, put 75 rds and the first couple of shots felt weird (adjusting to the trigger???) love the feel, size, recoil everything is great

    Recommend to anyone

  • Yeah, I want an SR9c as a daily carry now. I've loved Ruger pistols in the past and am glad they've gotten this recall thing straightened out.

  • It seems you either hate or love the SR9! I had one and will get another because I miss it! It was a tack driver and was very comfortable in hand...sorry I sold it now. Some people must get lemons or something.

  • yo - > Iamthedude24 check this out

NEW RUGER SR9 - FOBUS PADDLE HOLSTER - Model : HK1, you can get this for about 25 bucks or less.

  • does anyone know of a good duty holster for this firearm??

  • i didnt realize how much nutnfancy looks like tom hanks haha

  • I think I've watched almost all your videos and you seem to be very knowledgable and skilled in the field you discuss. In most cases, we share the same opinions but I couldn't disagree with you more about the SR9. I picked one up at a gunshow for a little over 300 and took it to the range immediately with high expectations. I havn't been this disapointed in a firearm since my first experience with a taurus (24/7). The ruger feels great in my hand until its fired. Try again ruger.

  • honest, at least.

I tried out an sr9 at my local shooting range, and it jammed 3 times in a row. I got it "lubed" by the guy behind the counter, and i shot it again. 2 jams in a row.

probably got a lemon, or a poorly maintained gun!

  • 2:23. here that ricochet? scared the shit outta me haha!

  • @ricky6bubbles sounded like an old western haha

  • @ricky6bubbles sure its not just the shell coming out of the gun hitting the ground?

  • @Pyrofreak321 Your going to try and tell me that Zoooommmm! sound was a shell hitting the ground ?

it was the ricochet passing the camera as supersonic speed.

  • Just bought one today, love Ruger's! Thanks for the great vid's nutnfancy!

  • Just bought one today at a gun show for $430. Cant wait to shoot it!

  • What do you think of this gun vs the taurus 24/7 pro. I like the 24/7 has better features and fits the hand better. I also hear many people complaining about the SR9 being recalled, having a gritty trigger and shaving lead due to the feed ramp. how do you feel without the "its a ruger"thing lol.

  • check the trigger on the Taurus. Loooong draw. if you can get over the terrible trigger then go for it

  • Ya the first shot is long, the others that follow are short. I like the taurus better. Better price and more features. SR9 does not feel right.

  • get the ruger

  • I got the 24/7 pro ds 9mm 17rd cap, I will pick up a s&w m&p 40 with crimson grips in a few months. Im just not sold on this gun.

  • Holy crap, that ricochet sounded like it went right by you, nutnfancy, at 2:24/2:25.

  • Hehe I remember when you sliced yourself with that tenacious. That was a nasty nut. I've had my tenacious for over a year now. One of my favorite knives for the money.

    Sorry off topic

I'm still trying to make up my mind sr9 or glock 17... These videos help thanks.

  • I want a 9MM for training purposes. Was looking at the Glock, but I like having a safety and the SR9 gives it all for under $400. How can you go wrong, and it seems you give it a thumbs up. :)

  • 02:24 cool ricochet sound

  • I bought the gun when frist came out. Loved it, then it got recaled due to drope safty and trigger. Got to a free mag and hat out of it. When you say trigger little stiff that came after the new tigger. It was a very nice trigger before the recall. Did not like new trigger so trade for a Beretta 92F

  • ouch what a downgrade:( imo

  • Nutnfancy, I love your videos and Ruger makes a great weapon...but my dad recently purchased this gun because he is a huge Ruger fan......Do you think that you old school Ruger guys are biased? Everything about this gun is cheap looking and cheap feeling to me....the slide has sharp edges and is very unforgiving...... My dad loves it though of course and I can tell you did as well....Thanks for the videos though and keep up the great work!

  • Comment removed

  • Ma-ma smacked me too hard? Too funny! I love your videos. Great stuff.

  • a left POI indicates trigger control issue its not your eyes.

  • Very cool vid. Just bought the sr9. Can't wait to get it and fire.

  • Somebody had their left thumb crossed over behind the slide - totally coagulated!

  • actually i think he got that from one of his knives, a spyderco tenacious

  • I saw your review and bought this pistol it shoot 5-6 inches high with the rear sight all the way adjusted at 15 yard.what the fix for it?Thank You

  • is that you?

  • I own one of these and I love it only complaint is it's hard to find holsters and clips for it without having to order them(local stores only carry the firearm itself). on another note for anyone trying to find a light I have a tlr 2 on mine, it works great and is fairly easy to get on and off quickly so I can still use the holster I have, all in all its a great sidearm for the price and because it's so simple to use and maintain I would recommend it for a first time pistol owner

  • You should make a car review.

  • Thats the just a shitty idea...

  • I can't decide if I want the black or green one. I am tilting toward the green.

  • when i got my xdm 40 s&w i shoot to the left for 1ths 2 mags at 25yrs but got it down nothing but head shoots

  • Off topic:

What's the point of snapping up the sides on the brim of a hat like that?

  • is that war wound some slide bite?? yeeeouchh...

  • I think that is from the Tenacious knife that he cut himself with. See "Tenacious Cut" video.. The man is always cutting/gouging himself with something or other. Last time it was a sharp rock in an underwater test on a flashlight. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • @nutnfancy

Dude.. great videos.. love them.. the glock and sig ones are just fab.. Wonder if you would cover CZ 75s sometime..

Another question.. is there anything in 7.65 (.32 ACP) that is worth? I am going back to India where 9mm is not allowed for civilians.. I am thinking about something like CZ 83 or Walther PPK/S..

    Thanks..

  • @nutnfancy "The man is always cutting/gouging himself with something or other" ROFL! Heh, reminds me of my dad (^_^)

  • @theduke502 LOL our Dad was the same way. In fact, I like that about Nutn..Dad is gone, but Nutn's hands have always been almost an exact duplicate...kind of a comfort. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Yeah, I hear ya on that one. I don't really talk to my father much, but I know he probably still ends up with some kind of battle wound whenever he works on something. I guess I inherited that after him. But at least I wear gloves, whereas he doesn't :D

  • @nutnfancy lol...with a sharp rock...wow..

  • I got to shoot the SR-9 when a Ruger rep. was at a local gun store, the best shooting I've ever done. Loved the way it felt, just holding it and shooting it.

  • Just shot it last week along with my Glock 17 and I think i like the Ruger better.

  • love the war wound! haha i really want one of these

  • how do you de-cock the sr9?

  • i own one of these, they are sweet, mine trigger oull was tight as well, and safety eject was hard, it took 2 thumbs and alotta pressure to eject mag but with a few boxes of shells everything is nice and smooth now, i love it, it is my concealed carry gun so its with me day in and day out, Ruger makes a good gun, i also own a p90, but the sr9 is the shit, shoots great

  • Between 7 feet to 10 yds is pistol range in combat or self defense.

  • is 10 yards far?

  • tripmatt1 : 30 feet is about 10 yards.

    looks like a nice pistol.

  • I know I was joking. when I practice I always shoot my glock and 1911 at 25 yards off hand. Then do drill about 15-25 yards away.

  • if your eyes are jacked up... then me watching this video for acuracy is useless!

  • lol war wound xD what happened? haha

  • recommend the ruger sr9 to anyone who is looking for a good target pistol, as well as for home defense. shoots great, awesome action, easy to aim, only down side is you really have to squeeze the trigger, with practice you'll get used to it. i give it a 9 out of 10.

  • that's an easy to access spot so if someone runs up on you all you do is reach over your shoulder and bring your arm down.

  • If thats what you want to think.....

  • +1 on him being married. if you dont like his vids dont watch them and dont leave retarded 8th grader coments

  • Don't forget to wear safety glasses when shooting a firearm.

  • listen to that ricochet at 2:25

  • I was going to comment on that also. Pretty good microphone on the camera.

  • lamo "i dont know if my momma smacked me too hard" ahahhahha

  • LOL 2:25

    the western gun sound
