How many feet was that? I was practicing at 50 foot, with a 8 by 11 inch sheet of paper, and could only hit the sheet of paper about half the time.

Got this gun brand new....first time I shot it, the front white dot on the sight flew off. The same thing happened to hickok45 on during his review. What's up with that??? I don't want to send it in and use the warranty on it...unless they put night sights on there for me for my trouble. I was going to put night sights on it soon anyway...so it's no big deal really. I love this gun...oh...I also put the crimson grip laser on it....and highly recommend it! Wonderful gun!

its more about what your comfortable with im not buying a weapon if the design doesnt fit my hand properly its not a popularity contest my first weapon was a glock 17 it fit my hand and its designed for target shooting thats the farthest i want to go with that gun use it for what it is intended for some cops like the g17 they are paid to carry a firearm im just saying its to bulky to carry if you dont wear a heavy jacket or whatever you can see the butt of the gun its that big im 6ft1 251pds

jesus h christ people. does it have to come to attacking over preference of a pistol?  it is if some of you were the designers of these guns the way you defend them. i prefer the cheap springfield xd because of the way it feels in my hands. does that make it better or worse absolutely not. the M&P is a great pistol leave the man alone.

@TheJeremydingeman ; It amazes me how brand specific people are. You have Glock dudes, Smith dudes, H&K dudes and everyone swears thre company is the best. What a load of crap. Just about every manufacturer makes good weapons AND crappy ones. ME? Yeah, I have an XD, Glock, Sig, Smith, Colt and Kimber. Which one do I like the most? Colt, Sig and XD. The others are just fine weapons. I plan on adding an M&P shortly.

@TheJeremydingeman no kidding .. it starts getting silly. especially when they say "it's more accurate" ... that's bull. No doubt they shoot one poorly but that's not the gun. Like my Glock, like my M&P & probably would like a Sig, Kimber or a half dozen others. To say everything sucks except what I own just shows stupidity.

Sorry Sigs are way better then an s&w mp if you knew your guns it's more accurate and durable. The reason people don't like sigs is cause of the price.

The M&P is just as good as any other polymer frame gun. And until you can prove otherwise, your just another Troll.

@GodOfWar5341 no im pretty sure one of the reasons people dont like sigs is because you get a very low grip on the gun and most of them are not as ergonomic as 1911 or glocks or many other brand and styles of pistols. i know this because i have owned a sig p229 in .40s&w and yeah they have more controllable recoil than polymer frame pistols but they do jam and if someone is used to a 1911 style ergonomics then sig sauers pretty much suck for them.
