just a correction on this song mate, not to be a big head but this is one of my favourite songs to play on my uke. i actually have an 8 string lanikai ukulele and it sounds beautiful but yeahh the real chords are
B, F#, E (verse's, chorus)
C#m, F#, E, F# (pre-chorus) the oh yes i said it (part)
C#m, F#, B, F# (first part bridge) no i aint gonna comb my hair (part)
E, F#, B (second part bridge) no no no no part
you got strumming pretty much down just helping you out
@bugsenbunny I am by no means an expert on uke. I am a beginner, but I have heard good things about the makala dolphin. It is 40 bucks. It's a plastic uke. Check them out.
not necessarily it will feel smaller to your fingers but yeahh fun and easy. took me a month to pick up but people say that if you play guitar its easier to play ukulele :)
there are a little wrong. Progression #1 is right. Progression #2 is C#m - D#m(Ebm) - E - F# . Progression #3 is C#m - F# - G#m C#m - F# - G#m and that well be better !! try it man!!
I'm thinking about going to metal instead of nylon. anyone have an opinion about this? I'm a new ukulele player and have tried the nylon strings and eh.
@TheGnomeQueen to be honest the they both arnt good the best are the blck standard strings because my uncle makes ukuleles. i live in hawaii and the best is those black ones
@TheGnomeQueen I personally have heard that not only are metal strings tougher on the fingers, most ukuleles are not built to withstand the greater tension required to tune them, and tend to bow with age. I've also heard metal strings have a harsher sound. I think you'd be fine with some good aquilas.
dude your a boss i get so pissed off with the idiots who dont know how to make a tutorial and they just like ramble on about their personal life. your just like look, chords you need. how to play them. strum pattern. how it sounds all together. BAM. and then i know how to play it and im like i think i just jizzed in my pants. boss.
P.S. wait whats the strum pattern again? You made it way too confusing in the video.. ;) haha
The strum isn't hard, its basically a reggae strum. Which means, you hit it going down than mute it coming up. Thats why he suggests a pinky mute. Or you can lift your fingers off the strings and it'll do the same thing, sorta
@sgtimafilipino haha actually didnt mean for sarcasm to be implied, i just copy pasted that response to all 100 comments asking about the strum :) sry if it came off like that.
@Krankthat22 oh no my comment was the sarcastic one lol. since you basically spelled out the strumming for the viewers, it seems redundant for them to ask. good video! ive been playing for the past 6-7 years so strumming should be easy. unless i get rumathoid arthritis and in that case ill just switch to the harmonica=)
@tykecraft let go of the strings so your muting it (like when u have ur hand on it so it dont make a noise) when u want to and press back down when u play the note.
