  • Useless. Folder names are too small to be readable. Could only work with screencasting and magnifying things so we can follow.

  • @HealingCoachOrg I realised some people are experiencing audio problems which render this video unusable. Please check out my channel for a link to an improved version of the screencast.

  • @420escapades that is strange. It might be a hardware problem. Contact apple support if you still have apple care available.

  • @Ivica2000 touche sir

  • Your solution works perfectly, thank you very much for your great help!

  • All my windows computors crashed and in 5 years my mac has never crashed. I got a windows 7 computer and it crashed within a month

  • only problem, I cant hear the video

  • @FFJproductions i now its soo gay how are we supposed to now wat he is sayin wen we dont have sound

  • i only found one audio plist in my library preference. I deleted it, restarted and voila, all is back to normal.

    Thank you.

  • I have the same problem. My internal speakers work but my headphone jack doesn't work. Even if I have headphones pluged in the jack I still hear sound from the internal speakers. I tried deleting the files from audio folder and I also tried tht option command "P" "R" on restart I have had no luck.

  • I guess this is the right place to ska this question. A little while ago my volume was suddenly very low even though the volume level was at the highest. So i went to 'Settings' 'Sound' and turned the 'Outgoing sound' to max.

But suddenly the sound level is stuck to whatever i put it to in Settings. I cant turn it on and off with the F11 and F12 buttons all of a sudden? Can anyone help me with this, please?

  • @mogens345 check comments below for the actual path and delete the .plist files, reboot and check if sounds is back to normal again, also check that you did not lock settings in the settings panel by accident (look for little golden padlock in the bottom left hand side corner)

  • Info says that this is a possible solution to a bug when system does not remember your volume settings after reboot, not when sound is not working at all

  • yes i have a sound problem, and cannot HEAR this YouTube solution.

  • Check this directory:

    "your_home_folder/Library/Preference/Audio"

and delete any .plist files, reboot your system and let me know if that worked

  • @curthess this is the worst tutorial of audio solutions

  • Got it! Thanks!

  • Hi! Got the same problem but cannot see any of the files you say on the video...any suggestion?

  • Did you check both places? MacHD and your home folder?
