  • would you like a fish tank with tour sand bed?

  • very nice does the deep sand bed help reduce nitrates in the tank.

  • nice

  • nice tank to much sand tho

  • to much sand!

  • way to much sand going to kill everything sand beds hold massive amounts of nitrate

  • dude, you have too much sand!

  • @300pzl true!!

  • y the giant sand bed. not a ton of trates??

  • wow, that s a lot of sand. it's a very nice looking tank, regardless.

  • why the 6'' sand bed?

  • more sand than there is water ;)

  • LOL Jimmie Dale Gilmore is Smokie.

  • deep enough sand bed geez

  • @calbear420 lol

  • nika you crazy

  • what the name of this song

  • 54-40 - Crossing A Canyon

    good shit ehh

  • nice tank! check out mine (ryans reef video)

  • with that in mind all corals have different preferences, some are better off with less than 1 watt per gallon (yellow sun coral- tubastrea aurea) and some need 5+ watts ( sunshine montipora)

the coralife system would give you a little more than 1 watt per gallon.

you could possibly have some corralimorphs if they were possitioned in the highest reaches of you rocks (few inches below surface) or maybe some gsp, but i wouldn't advise it.

  • Watts per Gallon is a pretty stupid rule. Yu could have 10 watts per gallon of actenic and youd still have terrible PAR. Par is one of the only things that matter

  • hehehehehehe stupid rule.

par isn't the only thing that matters. lol

i can be sending 1,000,000,000 photons of uvb light and the coral cant do anything with it.

go to reef central. read in the advanced topics about lighting. its a wonderful read, and it shows how l;ittle we all know! including me...until i read it....and still

  • I am on ReefCentral :), and NanoReef, and AquariaCentral and BostonReeferSociety But par is ONE of the most important things. UVB doesnt give off very good PAR. Send me a PM on ReefCentral :D my name is mak3mydae

  • Watts doesn't measure the actual light output anyway. Lumens all the way.

  • Lol i never said watts did. PAR does

  • hello straight guy!

i am at my friends house, and i noticed your comment.

i have a free salt, fresh, and brackish water aquatic help email set up, where you, or anyone for that matter, may e-mail any questions they may have.

on a 90 gallon those wont be able to support most hard corals, and wont support many of the soft corals.

just as a general rule of thumb, you want to have at least 3 watts per gallon before you think of adding any softies, 4-5watts per gallon for hard corals,

  • Hey Love the Tank I have a 90 gallon, i was curious i now have a floresent light hood, w/ 1 ocean sun 10,000k bub and a power glo 18,000k blub, I am about to buy a 48" Coralife Lunar aqualife power compact 2x65watt and 420 2xactinic, was curious on your input on those lights, i plan on going reef and marine!

  • i would get a metal halide if ur goin to get a 90 G because its so deep, and some actinic as well. i love coralife lights myn broke and they sent me a new one with in 2 weeks!

  • how's about making a quick video and explain how al this flows and works together. Thanks in advance

  • yeah man...all try im realy busy right now so it maynot happen. basically most sumps have the water drined in to them. and ge pumped back up to the main tank.

what i did is turn it around and pump the water out off the tank to the sump. i got a glass drill bit and cut 2 holes in the side of the sump & fuge to drain the water to the next tank. with some plexy glass glued in to keep the water at the top of the tank. and not drain tho the hole hights.
