The Stormcloaks invaded Whiterun and now there's a new Jarl and a new Steward so if I buyed a house from the new steward it doesnt give me an option to Upgrade my house but he gave me a decorating guide

@sonicwindrider101 equip the weapon you want to put on the weapon rack and draw it, and activate the weapon rack. It will put your equipped weapon onto the rack :)

@SecondlifeAceDeir - you can but right now item location is based on where you are standing. there is a real problem with things falling to the floor or being stuck in other objects right now. hopefully, it will be fixed to be more like fallout or oblivion in a future patch.

@minecrafdude sometimes if you're to close to the weapon rack it won't give you the option. slowly tip toe backward and slowing look up or down at the rack while keeping the crosshair pointed at the rack. it should blink real quick with an option of putting a weapon on the rack. if you missed it then you'll have a general idea of where to stand and where to put the crosshair. hope it helped.

Yeah the way you can decorate your houses was muuuuuch better in Oblivion, in Skyrim everthing just gets like tossed on the floor and it's a pain to get things how you want them cuz you have to hold the items in "the middle" or how you should put it

And does anyone know if you can use the Weapon racks and Wall mounts on the PS3 or if mines just bugged out

I am having the same problem with the weapons racks. There is no prompt to let me hang weapons. I have tried reloading and re-entering and everything. Seems like alot of people are having trouble. I really hope this is patched as the racks are a great addition. Does anyone have this problem with the breezehome and knows that the racks in the other houses work? If they dont work too I will be gutted.

do the mannequinns (the puppets where you can put your armor on) work for you? cause mine are invisible when i equip the with something (l only tried to equip armor for the upper body and that part got invisible, when l give them a helmet, nothing happens the helmet is invisible but i can still see the head of the statue

i spent like an hour decoriting the house then i saved. when i turn on my ps3 again all the things i just spent an hour putting on shelves and sfuff like are just rolling around the floor WTF??

@classifique That's because item's locations don't save after you move them. They save on the spot where you dropped them off from your inventory. That's why i'm unable to decorate my house too! BTW i'm having this problem on PC, so it's a cross-platform issue!

@classifique Well, until then i continue to master the art of dropping items at the exact place i want them! :D

However, it shouldn't be too hard to fix, because items already present in your house can be moved without any problem, and they stay at their new locations. Just remember, do not put them in your inventory!

@MrStevan88 You become Thane after you kill dragon, and then the king says "you can buy houses.. .blablalba" (or something like that). So anyway after you kill dragon you should be able to buy houses
