doesn't this woman ever learn to comb hair properly..i suppose this is why the hair grows to a certain length and then break of. new growth meets up with relaxed hair and you comb that hair out like one texture...please!
@nicetoknowu1on1 i think its funny that yu watch n comment on alot of her videos but yu dont make videos yourself .... so how we kno yu aint sum bald headed hoe dats jealous of ateya .... PLEASE !
omg omg i am cringing so much right now i cud barely look...ateyaa hun pls section your hair when combing or comb from the ends.....oh am having a heart attack
Ateyaaa how do u care for your hair underneath your sew ins? I've worn sew ins for years but i never took care of my hiar but now im on my HHJ i want to do right by my hair...Thanks for your response :)
Thanks to you Ateya, I will be getting another sew-in, and this time I will not relax my hair before I decide to put the sew-in, I have learned that as a valuable lesson! I'm so ready to do it because when I get ready to take it out, I will definitely watch your tutorial! Thanks you are a lot of help!
Thank you sooooooo much for showing your comb out!!!! Mine today was a success!!! I freaked out the last time cuz I indeed had hair to tangle (but it was not as bad as yours:-( )...But keep doing what you do cuz you are true blessing!!!!
what type of remi hair would u recommend... my hair is natural but i have a good grade of hair so it straightens very well! i wanna get a sew in with sum hair that will last, not shedd or become tangled!
I wish I could get a sew-in again but I'm so scared of it falling out and causing my hair to go thin! If I decided to do it again, I would definitely have to go back to the person that sewed it in to take it out! Doing a sew-in did not make my hair grow, it actually made it worse than what it was before I put it in..
i need people to comment respectfully ... and if your trying to give some constuctive critism do it right ... i'm of people always saying something negative on her channel .. i don't even know this girl personally and i'm like ugh yah need to shut up ... i just felt obligated to say something ... i like her hair and her channel
You could also use a seam ripper to take out your sew-in weave. I used to do sew-in's for people in the neighborhood and it was much faster to use a seam ripper. I love your videos. You are a natural at providing entertaining information for all your viewers. Thanks for sharing.
this is normal shedding, once u have in weave or wear a wig for so long with out any combing, then all that dead hair will piled up the long u leave it the more hair pile up because they are not getting remove so yes its normal
@dimomdcake I agree - I do protective styling for 1 month and shed like a dog - my hair is about BSL - so still retains length. Ateyaaa is doing just fine with HER hair
what in the world is going on with some of these comments? some of yall are just really hating. damn, why black folks (especially the women) always have to hate on each other?! Ateyaaa has been really helpful with ALL her videos. Her REAL HAIR looks great. because of her tips, my hair is healthier than it's ever been. if you haters think you can do better, make your own video. but in the mean time, stop hating on hers.
Ateyaa, you hair is doing great. I remember the last sue in and how it went south. I am so happy to see your hair has grown back so pretty. I want to try a sue in weave I just don't know if I am ready to beat my head to death when it starts itching. Your sue ins are always so nice.
For all of you saying her hair has not grown... She has a video titled "Hair Introduction" in which her hair is CLEARLY alot shorter! I think she is doing just fine. How she chooses to do her hair is her opinion, dont like it dont watch.
Wow your hair has gotten pretty long!!! just need a trim. next time when you take ur sew-in out, put some conditioner on it & just let it sit 4 a min, or do a hot oil treatment so it looks a little healthier. and yeah, comb from the ends up GENTLY!! also get rid of that RATTAIL COMB!!! it's no good for our hair!! only use a wide tooth comb whether its wet or dry
@purplelov100 ok you gotta be kidding now, look at all the comments, most people who comment agree that gentle combing would have prevented from loosing that much hair! (look at the highest rated comment) in other words..........loosing that much hair is not normal thats it.
Are yall crazy, some of you subscribers must not have been following ateya very long, shes been on her hair journey for almost 3 years and her hair has been the same length, it is not progressing IMO, i lve the vids and her tips, but I really dnt think she is a good example of healthy hair growth. I went from ear length to armpit length in a year, ateya should have brastrap length
Curious to know why you don't use a detangler when taking out braids that have been in for that long?
You've got gorgeous hair girl, I don't want to see it all gone! PLEASE...try not to comb it in that way. Bottom to top.......It looks like you combed it out in 5 minutes, when in fact... it should taken much longer seeing as it needed extra care having been in braids that long. Every time you combed I cringed lol
why get another sew in for your birthday ? why cant you just rock your own hair? - whats wrong with your own hair now! its grown - so whats your problem ......
there is nothing wrong with her real hair.....maybe she just wants a different hairstyle for a special occasion.....nothing more honey.....just cause you have long hair doesn't mean you can have fun with some extensions boo.
Giving helpful advice is one thing but being mean and nasty is another. Ateyaa, girl your hair is YOUR HAIR and you ARE the only one that it affects. Love your vids and like you said you STAND TALL. Some women are just miserable with their life and are MAJOR haters....
hello..i want to get a sew in.....but i don have enough money to buy from indian hair company....does anyone know cheaper alternatives regaurding hair....but still are good quality...? thanks :)
@makak45 everyone knows that her hair looked much better when she was on the aphogee regimen. when she used the CHI she protected her hair from heat, and now her ends look really thin and the hair doesnt grow as fast as it used to.
I exercise daily, so I tried to get a sew in to reduce the amount of maintenance on my hair. Needless to say, I'll stick with my wigs and half wigs because my head was killing me from the tight braids. Within an hour, I had the stylist remove the braids. Anything that is extremely tight can not be good for you hair. I have bra strap length natural hair, and I'm currently taking a break from the heat/press. Wearing the wigs(without bonding them) allows me to keep my hair healthy and protected.
@beautynow11 I used to get sew ins too, but the tight feeling only lasts for like a day. I've been doing the half wigs for over a year, I like them cuz you can change styles and colors more frequently and it doesn't COST as much, still looks good, and I can still protect my hair from all the styling I know I would be doing because I exercise a LOT too.
@beautynow11 I have natural hair as well and for the past 6 months I've been wearing braids, kinky twist and sew ins. As far as sew ins go you have to get someone who knows not to braid your hair too tight and you'll be fine. The trick is to braid the hair securely but not tight to wear its pulling out at the roots and then use a hair net to sew the hair onto. This method works extremely well. Your tracks are sew in in securely to the net and your braids aren't killing you.
@TheBrownSugaBabe Girl, if only it was that simple. Prior to her even touching my her, I informed her that I have an extremely sensitive scalp(tender headed). It was like I said absolutely nothing at all. For some reason, some stylist seems to think that your hair has to be braided tight in order to install the weave. I actually prefer wigs to weaves because I like to wash/deep condition w/steamer once a week.
To my girls out there who want to lose weight, I feel your pain. I just completed week-1 of my 17-week weight loss challenge, and i am now 5lbs lighter (5lbs in 7 days). Plenty of vids up for view with tips and info on how you can do the same. Im looking to be inspired by others like me who want to lose weight. Daily vids and tips! Peace and Love and good luck with your work out journeys! ps - gotta luv ateeya!
WOW ATEYAAA... MY HAIR HAS GROWN JUST LIKE YOURS.... AFTER ALL THE SEW-INS ,ITS IN THE MIDDLE OF MY BACK....WOW I SEE WE BOTH CAME A LONG WAY...ESPECIALLY AFTER OUR HAIR TAKE OUT PROBLEM....
4 HOURS!?!?!? WOW you ladies must really be amateurs!!!i can cut a sew in out in 10-20 mins and detangle i another 10-20 mins. what makes it take that long for you???
@Jonilee4292 yes ppl are dumb...yes but it is scary you're trying to grow the hair not make alot come out. if you put conditioner on the hair and comb gently you would have less hair that come out. i left my hair up for a month and put conditioner in and only a little came out (it was a 50 cent coin size). I was amazed cause a lot of hair usually comes out
That's how much I watch. I have no idea. That's why I asked when did she have it in. Smh. Still, eww lol. But neways, she not trying to here no advice, helpful or bad. pride pride pride is a terrible sin.
I was going to get a wig or clip in extensions just as a protective style or something. But I don't want that huge ball of hair coming out when I get it taken down. But looking through your vids, you started in 08. Your hair should be down your back by now, despite all your setbacks. I love your wigs but what have you been doing to your actual hair lately? Color and relaxing seems scary. I thought that was why you had the wigs in the first place.
@Miharuanka Your hair sheds daily. It is normal to lose 60 - 80 strands a day. Even though her hair is braided it will still go through the shedding process, thus the HUGE ball when she took it down. I have very long, thick hair and this is a natural occurence for me, so I'm not bothered at all. Just look at the root of the hair that falls out. If there is a white bulb at the end then that is hair that has naturally shedded. If short pieces are falling then you have a problem with breakage.
I know how much hair sheds. I've just never seen a huge ball of hair that big before. Whenever I had braids, the ball was much smaller even though I had it in for 3 months, it was never that big. If I saw that much come out my head, I'd still be scared....it's just scary lol.
How long have you had that wig in? That huge ball of hair just scared the crap out of me!!! So you washed and conditioned your hair but did you deep condition? You just went straight to straightening your hair. And you didn't leave time in to let your hair breathe. Girl, you just took your hair down and you got it up in a wig again? I haven't been watching lately but you came up in a discussion online. So you got your hair colored plus you're relaxed? And your ripping your hair when you comb?
@Miharuanka Hilarious!!! Girl did you see her face while she was ripping her tangles out...priceless. I love Ateyaa but damn she is killing me softly. I wanted to rip that comb out her hand and detangle it myself.
4 HOURS!?!?!? WOW you ladies must really be amateurs!!!i can cut a sew in out in 10-20 mins and detangle i another 10-20 mins. what makes it take that long for you???
i don't wear weaves. I'm talking about taking other people's hair out and they aren't bald. it shouldn't take over an hour at most and hour and a half to take out unbraid and detangle your hair.-scratch tha-teveryone's different...what's quick and easy for me isn't the same for everyone else...it just ooke me by shock that it took 4 hrs. ...
your hair is gorgeous u should go natural.......jk dnt beat me up for saying that lol i had a question, i just wanna know where did you get that comb from? the orange wide tooth one. my hairdresser has one just like that and i love it. but for some reason i cant find it anywhere!! not even at sallys. we dont really have good stuff down here in arizona like you do
Hey Ateeya, next time when you comb, try starting at the bottom and move up towards your roots to reduce amount if hair that you lose. You do have shedded hair of course but it will be less if you comb a bit gentler too. Nice growth though.
@glamorousdollface I agree with you a 100 % . The thing is that many people told her that she's being rough with her hair and giving her hair tips. Ateya doesn't care because if she would , she would've change it by now.
@shellisa04 If ur natural dont worry, but if ur relaxed.. try to do a protein treatment before you get your sew in because braids do weaken ur hair relaxed. Idk y its a transverse act like that, Ne who i hope i helped.
Love the length, weaves really do work. My hair always grows super nicely when I wear one. I wore some for like 6 mos and my hair is almost at BSL. Thumbs up for weaves
It is hard to believe that your birthday is coming up. I remember watching you celebrate last year. Wow, this year has passed by so quickly. God bless and thanks for sharing.
Girl, your hair has gone so much since I've sub. It's only beeb a short time and look at how far it has come. You're gonna be sitting on your hair in a min. See what time, patience, and being as u'd say consistent does for your hair. Gone, Ateyaa!
Ateeya I like ur vids and all but y do u comb ur hair that way ...so rough ...i think you shouldve comb from ends to root and a little gentler ...just my opinion
doesn't this woman ever learn to comb hair properly..i suppose this is why the hair grows to a certain length and then break of. new growth meets up with relaxed hair and you comb that hair out like one texture...please!

People are so dumb... of course if you haven't combed your hair in months there's gonna be a big ball shedding hair left!!
Jonilee4292 1 year ago 4
@Jonilee4292 yes ppl are dumb...yes but it is scary you're trying to grow the hair not make alot come out. if you put conditioner on the hair and comb gently you would have less hair that come out. i left my hair up for a month and put conditioner in and only a little came out (it was a 50 cent coin size). I was amazed cause a lot of hair usually comes out

@Jonilee4292
That's how much I watch. I have no idea. That's why I asked when did she have it in. Smh. Still, eww lol. But neways, she not trying to here no advice, helpful or bad. pride pride pride is a terrible sin.

Reesedola123 1 year ago
I do love how thick your hair is. But the combing and the big ball scared me for life! lol.
Miharuanka 1 year ago 2
ateyaaa what i do is put conditioner on it and comb it..much easier...the conditioner makes ur hair softer and easy to comb
neanealuvmuzik 1 year ago
I was going to get a wig or clip in extensions just as a protective style or something. But I don't want that huge ball of hair coming out when I get it taken down. But looking through your vids, you started in 08. Your hair should be down your back by now, despite all your setbacks. I love your wigs but what have you been doing to your actual hair lately? Color and relaxing seems scary. I thought that was why you had the wigs in the first place.
Miharuanka 1 year ago
@Miharuanka Your hair sheds daily. It is normal to lose 60 - 80 strands a day. Even though her hair is braided it will still go through the shedding process, thus the HUGE ball when she took it down. I have very long, thick hair and this is a natural occurence for me, so I'm not bothered at all. Just look at the root of the hair that falls out. If there is a white bulb at the end then that is hair that has naturally shedded. If short pieces are falling then you have a problem with breakage.
beautynow11 1 year ago
@beautynow11
I know how much hair sheds. I've just never seen a huge ball of hair that big before. Whenever I had braids, the ball was much smaller even though I had it in for 3 months, it was never that big. If I saw that much come out my head, I'd still be scared....it's just scary lol.
Miharuanka 1 year ago 3
@Miharuanka ITs braiding hair inthat ball too thats y its big she said it in the video so all of it is not her hair
Lovelylady4sho 1 year ago
How long have you had that wig in? That huge ball of hair just scared the crap out of me!!! So you washed and conditioned your hair but did you deep condition? You just went straight to straightening your hair. And you didn't leave time in to let your hair breathe. Girl, you just took your hair down and you got it up in a wig again? I haven't been watching lately but you came up in a discussion online. So you got your hair colored plus you're relaxed? And your ripping your hair when you comb?
Miharuanka 1 year ago
@Miharuanka Hilarious!!! Girl did you see her face while she was ripping her tangles out...priceless. I love Ateyaa but damn she is killing me softly. I wanted to rip that comb out her hand and detangle it myself.

@collics
bald? HA...im FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from it...
i don't wear weaves. I'm talking about taking other people's hair out and they aren't bald. it shouldn't take over an hour at most and hour and a half to take out unbraid and detangle your hair.-scratch tha-teveryone's different...what's quick and easy for me isn't the same for everyone else...it just ooke me by shock that it took 4 hrs. ...

@bwoodsfinest of course it dont take long when you are taking down someone else's hair

How long did you have your sew in for?
sharxxlee 1 year ago
Hey Ateeya, next time when you comb, try starting at the bottom and move up towards your roots to reduce amount if hair that you lose. You do have shedded hair of course but it will be less if you comb a bit gentler too. Nice growth though.
glamorousdollface 1 year ago 35
@glamorousdollface Very true and I love the way you advised her.
testing4echo 1 year ago
@glamorousdollface I agree with you a 100 % . The thing is that many people told her that she's being rough with her hair and giving her hair tips. Ateya doesn't care because if she would , she would've change it by now.
rizeuse 1 year ago
@glamorousdollface seem like her hair should be way longer than that. Now im scared to do a sew in lol.
shellisa04 1 year ago
@shellisa04 If ur natural dont worry, but if ur relaxed.. try to do a protein treatment before you get your sew in because braids do weaken ur hair relaxed. Idk y its a transverse act like that, Ne who i hope i helped.
