Maybe its my ears, maybe its his drum, but in most of his videos his kicks sound rushed and off beat in some places. All of his playing is near flawless until you focus on the kicks.VoM has an amazing drummer though so you have to give Luke alot of credit.

Its just I listen to A LOT of different genres and MOST drummers in metal just focus more on speed than technicalities. If people want to watch an excellent drummer, watch Colin Ingram, or Neil Peart, or Mike Portnoy, or Daniel Williams, or Dave Grohl, or even Nick Mcbrain.
