I'm gonna play devil's advocate for a minute. I do think that Sarah Palin has been thrown under the bus by her party. Come on, they knew this woman was not qualified or prepared for this position. The Republicans knew that she wasn't politically astute enough to lead this country because she didn't know enough about it. McCain lost for many reasons. Yes, the economy was strongly against McCain. But if Mccain seriously analises the voting results, he will kick himself for choosing Palin. The key swinging states were all very tight where Mccain lost most independent and there were less than expected turnouts from GOP base. This tells 1 thing: the selection of Palin played much larger part in lossing than he could imagine. With correct strategy, McCain would have had a very good chance of pulling it off.
