We played Halo like it was the only game. If they change the physics of the game like they did with Halo 2 then it will suck. It was clean and smooth and the lighting was perfect. Perfect lighting in games is rare now. I love the way the physics work. I still play it.
Bungie is going with Activision.. ok.. well, they wont/cant touch Halo because 343i has the rights to it now.
Since 343i IS composed of some of the old Bungie employees (most of them made the other Halos, it will be the same. There will be no big changes. So really chillax people.

@RDrolling Well bad news for you man. The multiplayer is just a halo reach remake but with the old maps. and the singleplayer is the same thing but with better graphics. so if you own both halo 1 and reach you have this game. 40$ is the price but i believe it should be $20-$30.
As long as they only change the graphics and nothing else. The only thing that I would like to be added is to be able to pick up the Fuel rod guns the Grunts use in levels "2 Betrayles" and "The Maw".
as long as only grapics, maybe weapons too, are upgraded then its all good if they dont mess with the actual layout of the maps or the actual game play and story, we will not have a problem.

Halo 1 pistol wasnt oonly thing overpowered, shotgun had 60 bullets and 12 uses b4 reloading, sniper had 24 ammo, assault rifle had 600 bullets and 60 per reload, missile launcher had 8 but i think its like that in the other games, non exploding vehicles, only thing i h8ed was useless needler, plasma grenades took 4ever to explode, no energy sword, melee kills took 3 to 4 hits, and fall damage was crazy but other than that the game is awesome
I want terrain editing, texture swapping, day/night & weather settings, foliage placement, firefight editing, less restrictive map bounds, triggered events/scripting, and everyone should not be on teams by default like it currently is when you're editing. There's no reason for them to complain, they're a pro gaming dev company they can make these things and more.
Custom games need fixing too. Bring back VIP, make infection use floodies, etc.

I am sure that 343 Industries will do a very good job, and there are some people from bungie that are now with 343 to help creating the Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary. Also they actually ARE making the remake with the Halo Reach engine, so you don't have to worry about that. I hope that they make a new Multiplayer that does include a few of the old halo 1 maps. But i think they will also put in new maps and Halo Reach and other new weapons. And i'm told that there will be Custom Games and Forge

I found halo to be repetitive as well as in some aspects broken (guy shutes shotgun at zombie at point blank range zombie has near full health) so new management in my oppinion sounds good.

Look, if applies or not is up to you, but i own a psp, and i have access to alot of remakes, but theres is the remake of rockman called Maverick Hunter X, wich change a lot of details and presents cinematics and a small clip unlocked when you finish the game. This was a fine work. So i dont mind if they make major changes in the scenario (lets admit it, some parts of the game had repetitive enviroments), while they dont change the plot.

The situation I feel is bittersweet. I'm so happy to see a new company taking the situation, because Bungie has totally failed over the years. With Reach, they just fucked up, plain and simple. As long as the new company keeps the core idea of Halo and the lore itself intact, I'm fine. Bungie started it, but they DID NOT finish the fight, nor did they go out with a bang.

Being a huge fan of Halo 3 and also living halos 1 and 2 I hope this game is remade correctly in that nothing has changed from the original except more advanced graphics and making the multiplayer compatible for xbox live. I just really want it to be nothing like halo reach because I like the feel of the more original Halo feel without all the sprinting and aimed recoil.

There was one interview with 343 Industries, the people making the game, has said it feels the same, and will not feel like halo 3, or reach, it will keep the same Halo:CE engine. Only the graphics will be tuned. It looks great. There is some gameplay, and it looks exactly like halo 1 with a lot better graphics. Im not sure about the multilayer, but Halo 1 remake will have multiplayer,

I think bungie shouldn't make any more they turned halo into a different game. It was more about double weilding in the 2nd one and they relized it in the 3 so they made changes again but it never was the same after halo one.

I heard that pressing the back button in the campaign will go back to the original graphics, so most likely, the remake will be using the same engine as the original release. Basically, Anniversary will be a port, which can be a good thing because gameplay will feel the exact same as 10 years ago. I can judge that when it comes out, because I have Halo 1 right here. :)

@luisfizify there remakeing it on the reach's grapic engine its going to be the same campagin but better grapics for hd tv's and the same multiplayer maps as halo 1 but you will be able to gain better aromer in halo anerversary its going to be co-op able so u can have 4 player campagine and u will be able to play as a marine finally like in halo 3 u could play as a elite and also there will be new mapss for multiplayer as well as the old ones same wepons thats in reach and cee like god the pist.

Look, if applies or not is up to you, but i own a psp, and i have access to alot of remakes, but theres is the remake of rockman called Maverick Hunter X, wich change a lot of details and presents cinematics and a small clip unlocked when you finish the game. This was a fine work. So i dont mind if they make major changes in the scenario (lets admit it, some parts of the game had repetitive enviroments), while they dont change the plot.

The situation I feel is bittersweet. I'm so happy to see a new company taking the situation, because Bungie has totally failed over the years. With Reach, they just fucked up, plain and simple. As long as the new company keeps the core idea of Halo and the lore itself intact, I'm fine. Bungie started it, but they DID NOT finish the fight, nor did they go out with a bang.

Being a huge fan of Halo 3 and also living halos 1 and 2 I hope this game is remade correctly in that nothing has changed from the original except more advanced graphics and making the multiplayer compatible for xbox live. I just really want it to be nothing like halo reach because I like the feel of the more original Halo feel without all the sprinting and aimed recoil.

There was one interview with 343 Industries, the people making the game, has said it feels the same, and will not feel like halo 3, or reach, it will keep the same Halo:CE engine. Only the graphics will be tuned. It looks great. There is some gameplay, and it looks exactly like halo 1 with a lot better graphics. Im not sure about the multilayer, but Halo 1 remake will have multiplayer,

I heard that pressing the back button in the campaign will go back to the original graphics, so most likely, the remake will be using the same engine as the original release. Basically, Anniversary will be a port, which can be a good thing because gameplay will feel the exact same as 10 years ago. I can judge that when it comes out, because I have Halo 1 right here. :)
