  • @EirikFS Does it read avi format? And mp4? Thanks

  • is it 1080P

  • @jimaras16 Yeah, it's full HD

  • What's your image setting for playins games ?

  • @vI8MileZzHighIv1

    Calibration settings:

PC Mode: ON (this gives you better sharpness for use with digital media, ex. PC, Xbox, etc.)

    Contrast: 47

    Brightness: 52

    Tint: Normal

    Picture format: Unscaled

  • @EirikFS K thx ; )

  • Hi guys! Can you advise me whether to buy this TV, image is good and beautiful or not, and are there by some of the problems, or is that it works well for a long time

  • @punisher101010 Hello! If you read the comments you can see that I've answered that before. This tv is not the best tv you can get, then it would cost alot more. But this tv has good picture quality, for its price and compaired with other brands and models. Philips makes great TVs, even the cheaper ones. Although the standard settings are really bad and youll have to calibrate or set my settings, in the video description, to get good picture quality.

  • i just got the 32 inch model and i am not shure if there are a av out on the 42 inch but it's not on the 32 one and that's the only flaw this tv has

  • @viewpoint93 Audio/Video out? This has audio out, but what do you need video out for? The 32 inch is good for its price to? How is your settings? Standard or calibrated? I sure got alot of improvement by calibrating the settings on this TV. Big difference from standard settings!!

  • @EirikFS but it's no av out for the hdmi couse i am gaming with my turtle beach x12 and i can't use hdmi couse it's no av out 4 the hdmi that's the only flaw my tv has the 32 inch model i don't know if it's the same on the 42 inch one

  • @viewpoint93 You can use a 3.5mm minijack to minijack extender cable and connect it to the audio out on the tv, but the sound is bad/very low because of bad inbuilt soundboard. To connect your HDMI through an amplifier or something like that would give much better sound.

  • @viewpoint93 do you know what the native resolution of this tv is? i am talking about 32 inches

  • @jimaras16 i have it on 1920 x 1080 on my tv so i think it's that

but u can always search it on google

  • nice setup

  • @TheKristianholst Thanks :) Just moved in into an apartment, now it's even nicer :)

  • @TheKristianholst Thank you :) Ive moved to a new crib now. I'll maybe throw up a new video soon :)

  • dude why don't you get some larger speakers? cheap fuck, haha ;-) Nice review man, thanks.

  • @ashepe Haha! Sound quality is more important than bass for me. Although these speakers(Dynavoice M-65 EX) deliver much bass! Quality over quantity ;)

  • Got a question for the handy guy. How can you use this in combination with a mac system?

  • @Indepencensus I dont think that would be any problem. I had the first unibody Macbook 13, and I used that with my old Philips tv(32 inch) and my Dell 20 inch monitor. All you need is a Display Port->HDMI adapter. That can be found in your local electronics shop, or cheaper at dealextreme(dot.com) ;) Mine was bough from DX, and it worked flawlessly!

  • @Indepencensus I mean Mini Display Port to HDMI adapter ;)

  • @EirikFS thanks. Found the right HDMI adapter Port to the MAcbook

  • Only 50Hz? :O

  • @keits96 Yeah, only 50Hz, but thats good enough for gaming. Most games have >50 frames per second, so theres no need for 100 or 200Mhz. But if you want the best, 100Mhz is a little bit better ;) 200Mhz is just a gimmic.

  • Is Philips 32" LCD-TV 32PFL3606 good for both gaming and watching tv? Are they same except the size???

  • @pettahthaman I guess they are the same. I'm happy with 42PFL3606, good quality for its price! I havent tried digital tv, only standard tv. Its good for that, and good for gaming via Xbox 360, PC etc..

  • @EirikFS Thanks for the answer :D

  • Would you recomend this tv if you are a 16 year old geek with xbox? Does it have great HDquality?

  • @philipsanglof It has great HD sharpness and image quality, for its price. If you want the best of the best, you'll have to pay more of course.. Me personaly want to wait for cheaper and better OLED 3D tvs before using 1000$+ on a tv. If you get it, you should tune it with the settings in the description. Standard settings are useless.. That only because they want you to buy a more expencive tv..

  • @EirikFS aight, when i buy it i'll try to make the settings, hope it isnt that hard.. I suck at all electronics, :P

  • @philipsanglof The menus on this TV is a bit confusing, but its no problem. Just press "Home" button(house icon), go to Settings then TV setting. This is where you insert the settings in this videos' description ;)

  • can you connect xbox with hdmi?

  • @devilxx3 Yes, the TV has 2 x HDMI ports compatible with Xbox 360, PS3 or a computer with a HDMI out. You can also connect from a computer with only DVI port out. For this you need a DVI>HDMI adapter ;)

  • can you easily plug a surround system in this tv? and if you can tell me how please? thanx!!!!

  • @menzoznem uhm, if you use computer or dvd/xbox/playstation you can connect to a surround sound system with optical cable or analog cables. I think maybe the tv has sound output, optical or analog.

  • what is the name of the song, its reall nice, tnx

  • @boboncel Its a Philter song. Dont remeber the name of this track, but search for "Philter" here on Youtube or on Spotify. Hes got alot of sweet music, he's Norwegian to! :D

  • does it play .mkv files?

  • @ogcopckaz Via USB? On Philips' site it says the following formats are supported: H264/MPEG-4 AVC, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4. Dont know if it takes .mkv containers, but it supports the format of the files inside the container. I would guess it will play it. Havent tried it tho..

  • @EirikFS Would also like to know if it plays mkv :/

  • @perzk Well, after a quick google search, i found a thread on support.philips about problems playing .mkv files after new firmware update. Dont know if its because it does'nt support .mkv or if its just the update or just this guys TV. But it looks like it supports .mkv but the firmware should be updated for it to work..

  • @perzk I havent been able to try .mkv via USB on this TV yet, but you can just convert to .mp4 or something with "MKVmerge" or programs like it.. I can try to play .mkv straight from an USB later..

  • @perzk It plays some .mkv files ;)

  • @ogcopckaz Sorry for late answer, but I have now tried .mkv via USB, and it works with some, and some dont.

  • im gona buy the same, when u watch tv its always full hd ?

and how u clean em ?

  • If you want to watch TV channels in HD you have to have digital tv via a decoder or with a smart card inserted into your tv. Contact your TV company for prices for such cards and find out if this tv is compatible with that smartcard and digital signals (DVB-C or DVB-T). The TV itself is capable of displaying up to 1080p via HDMI. The screen panel stays clean, but the glossy plastic surrounding the panel needs to be cleaned sometimes. Use microfibre cloths for this ;)
