I hate to say this BUT I wonder if the blacks coming out of slavery in the 1860s were having similar divisions---i'm black btw----its just weird that we started going downhill when civil rights started taking effect--70% illegitiamcy and 1/3 of all abortions when we are only 13% of American citizens

blacks was calling you names before you left the fields. this is the same old argument. all blacks have to do is work to make sure all blacks are educated and employed. if they focus on that the problem will be solved.

I don't agree with way the welfare system is set up and designed, but I do believe that government is assistance is needed in many cases. I'm still not convinced that being a republican is going to help strengthen the black community or those in poverty all together (blacks and whites).

well its not really that you are a republican, but that you are a conservative. im a conservative but i dont consider myself a republican. conservatism is all about freedom. freedom to live your life and ,as it says in declaration of independence, pursue happiness. no one has the right to have the gov take from others to give to you. welfare for your fellow man should be a personal choice, not the choice of the government.

I'm conservative, and yes republican, I'm white something that happened at conception, fine, I don't care if you're purple, real conservatives are color blind, if you share our values you are one of us. The speakers in this film are knowlegable and brave, it's a great honor to be able to say these are my fellow Americans.

I agree to a point. Yes, the Democratic/Liberal party have a grave history in reference to the Plight to African Americans, however I am not convinced that going to the Republican party is right either.
