Right. I love them both too and will say C.Moore is better than Bey too. I think what people don't understand is that many different artists market to different demographics so they don't reach as many markets as other artists who do. It is like comparing Jill and Alicia. I am sure Chanté wouldn't MIND the spotlight, but I don't think she marketed in a way to get that kind of spotlight because for the most part, the teens are buying CDs and unless, an artist does music for them...
I'm not comparing them. That's why I couldn't say one is better than the other overall. I get that Beyonce appeals to a different, probably younger, demo and that's why she's known so well. I just wish that artists like Chante could be HUGE and wildly well known.
It just shows what potential Beyonce has. She covered a few classics (like this one and the duet with Luther)and it sounds much better than the songs she obviously "has to" do in order to be successful. I can imagine her doin live shows in Las Vegas every night just with classics like this one.

Boy, she worked that dress. It looks so sexy because it's hugging her sexy, curvaceous body. Add, have to say that her version of the song is the sexiest version that I have ever heard. She worked this song as well and the performance was magnifique!

I know I know this hard to believe but yall that's Chante Moore as one of her background vocalist. She's on the side by the piano I know her nose and stance anywhere. I'm a huge fan then after the performance she shys away from the camera with her hat tilted low. look for yourselves I'm telling yall I've played this over and over from 3:50 on you get a better look.

Good eye with that. I was trying to tell folks that chante moore actually sang back up for Beyonce a couple times. No one believed me. Chante's voice is AMZING! And I hear she's coming out with a new album too.

I'm sure she wanted to. She wasn't forced. But as far as her not wanting the spotlight, she just released an album or is about to, so I doubt that she doesn't want the spotlight. I'm not dissing her either. I love both Chante and Beyonce.

Right. I love them both too and will say C.Moore is better than Bey too. I think what people don't understand is that many different artists market to different demographics so they don't reach as many markets as other artists who do. It is like comparing Jill and Alicia. I am sure Chanté wouldn't MIND the spotlight, but I don't think she marketed in a way to get that kind of spotlight because for the most part, the teens are buying CDs and unless, an artist does music for them...

I'm not comparing them. That's why I couldn't say one is better than the other overall. I get that Beyonce appeals to a different, probably younger, demo and that's why she's known so well. I just wish that artists like Chante could be HUGE and wildly well known.

It just shows what potential Beyonce has. She covered a few classics (like this one and the duet with Luther)and it sounds much better than the songs she obviously "has to" do in order to be successful. I can imagine her doin live shows in Las Vegas every night just with classics like this one.

I don't think it's such a bad thing to cover classics, it's artists like Beyoncé who keep classics alive and in the public eye, I'm sure there are tonnes of people who've never heard of Peggy Lee who will soon find out.
