@utubesucks1ass So let me get this straight? 3 Canadian guys bothered? Bothered to think? I stand as grown man and say of course I cried watching these fine men making fun of themselves regarding "Time Machine"
good job young man on finding great pics and matching them to music. When I started seeing and following them in 70's you could approach them fairly easily. Once in Kingston the tiket booth was rushed and huge door windows got smashed out, show still went ahead. First show I ever turned a photo into poster
one of my favorite melodies that Rush did....It covers so much emotion in a powerful rock ballad like only they can....thanks guys. I've seen you 9 times and will always be a fan. Thanks for being part of my life soundtrack. Stay true!!
i have to ask .should i listen to other music.i honestly cant get an overdose on "the rush". i feel i need it daily, like some sort of medicine to keep focus on the good things in life. easy to loose that perspective when listening to what is popular ,via main stream media.
This was my first Rush album in 1977. I've played in a Rush Tribute band for over 20 years. This is a beautiful montage. I kinda welled up. So many memories. Same drummer. Same bassist since we were barely old enough to order a pint! This is probably the most moving moment to me personally. In The End from ATWAS. Truly inspriring! Thank you for putting this together. You hit me closer to the heart!
i remember the first time i saw the picture that comes up at 5:29, may have been in a biography somewhere, i was like 'Where did that extra hand come from???' lol!!! then i looked at it a little harder and realized it was Alex with his fist turned outwards!! tricky! ;)
very well put together! bravo! ;) almost cried watching this! it's like looking at a family photo album with music in the background. alot of memories! i think it's wonderful these guys are still around and making great music! i love them! i also thought it was so nice seeing all the guys' parents on Beyond The Lighted Stage.
This is the stuff causal fans miss...I will take this,Bytor and the Snowdog,The Necromancer,Jacob's Ladder,Circumstances..The true grit of Rush that had us hooked........2112 set the stage for the new fans....This is true Rush
@Tod661 Right. I've been a serious Rush fantatic. In fact, Neil Peart's writings inspired me to become a philosopher (unlicensed :P) and I discovered a hidden talent I never really knew was there. Anyway, I don't think I've ever heard this song before. It's a great song.
So I don't triple post, holy crap- at 5:45 I looked at Neil and got this Steve Howe vibe.
I've been with these guys since 76' I seen them at least 20 times over the past 30 years.... They have never let themselves get bigger that their britches ( well maybe Tom Sawyer...) but other than that glitch they have been my best stone buddies of all time... Hey if there is anybody out there that knows a guy named JEFFREY ALLAN COBB he used to run with a band out of columbia Mo, called Banistre Tarelton.. He was a major rush freak like me.. He's got my pictures of those guys.. call me
I love RUSH and I would have to say All the Worlds A Stage is my favorite album. As a kid I would rock the album all the way through. Now, it's almost melancholy to listen to. This always takes me back to being a kid :)

Thank you, my dear friend. I had some fun while making this installment to the "My Obsession" series, especially knowing that today is Rush's 36th anniversary. <3
Very good that you were pleasantly entertained. That's what I am here to do. *Grin*
@EntustinMeYourLife It will be a sad, sad day indeed when these guys finally decide to hang it up. I'll probably just call off work and stay home and cry.

@utubesucks1ass Geddy offered "We old band, need to take a break, we got like 600 songs, we can't do them all?"

Nice video, once again, my friend. Love your caption for that Alex pic, "yeah, that's jazz!" May I complete that saying? "Jazz is weird..."
I love that last pic of Geddy. Like he once said in a documentary featurette, "that's such an idiot." Haha, I loved that winter advice video.
geddyleesangel101 1 year ago
Thank you, dear. *Giggle*
Oh, Alex. "Jazz is really weird. It's kinda like the same thing that goes on in my head." God only knows what goes on in your head, Mr. Lifeson. x]
Geddy is so freakin' adorable, as well! But we already know that. :p
I think of a few things I'd like to do with that tongue. Can't you? ^_~
EntustinMeYourLife 1 year ago
@EntustinMeYourLife Oh, yes, I know exactly what you mean. I always wondered how they got his tongue off the toboggan....
geddyleesangel101 1 year ago
I know: they let one of Geddy's fangirls loose on him! x}
Geddy: Uh, guys? My tongue *is* really stuck. A little help here?
Kahme: Here, let me get that... ^_~
Geddy: O_O
EntustinMeYourLife 1 year ago
@EntustinMeYourLife Haha, maybe...
Courtney: Okay, if it starts to hurt just squeeze my hand.
Geddy: Okay...
