Wow Martok! That is awesome! Very impressive indeed. I really wish I had the time, software, and talent to do something like this. I thoroughly enjoy your work my friend. Keep it up!
And thank you for the kind words, Peanutman. :) I do use a few things to make my videos...a pipeline of sorts. Blender (free 3D modeling app) is where I manufacture the parts for my ships, and props for my characters. 3DEXChange (program is about 150 bucks) is what I use to set up the mapping plan and convert the parts for use in iClone (another 200 bucks). If you ever want to get into 3D animation/machinima creation, iClone is a great entry level program.
Thanks for watching and the kind comments. Glad you liked it. Yes, Task Force Games has been the inspiration for the video. It sure is cool to see the clash of mighty fleets in combat. Still working on Star Fleet Battles. That was the trailer. I wish I had your computer skills. My work is restricted to photos, matting, and chroma key magic or fellow fans that supply computer graphics to the productions. It's been a team effect. Hope to see more of your great work in the future.
@Peanutman1954 Thanks, Peanutman. I'm glad you liked it. :) I take it you are also a fan of Task Force Games' Star Fleet Battles (which is where I presume you got the title for your SFB clip?) I used to enjoy playing FASA's STAR TREK Starship Strategic Combat Simulator (which was a more simplified version of SFB). I enjoyed the vids you have on your channel. Some really good chroma-keying there, especially when involving live actors.
