In the prologue you can't crash em and can't tune up ur cars but in the full version you can crash your vechile and if you don't want it you can turn it off and of course there is tuning.

PS: The only good racing sim for PCs is Live for Speed. I got rFactor, GTR evolution and LFS. rFactor and GTR have become old. Just look at the engine and graphics.

It's A LOT harder with manual. Manual is better in the real world because you can down shift before a corner for a braking effect. Because the cars are so highly strung in GT, when you downshift you often spin out due to something called "compression lockup" (google it).

Hmm.. I have seen people who say they use manual break gold requirement times by a lot. For me manual is hard at first, but it becomes natural after a while. Despite the negatives, knowing how to shift with manual gear helps with proper braking (it does help you brake), cornering, and going up a hill. That's if shifting is done correctly during each situation.

I think you mean counterSTEERING... Cuz I didn't see him DOWNshift. And if he was drifting, he would have yanked the "handbrake" and immediatly released it. And thats only if he is a tallentless hack or in a horribly underpowered car. Learn what you are talking about before you go correcting others.

There are several reasons why you might think this way:

1. regarding the graphics, it might be you are not playing in high resolution, or you are just blind.

2. regarding the gameplay, you drive like shit. You cannot enjoy the game if you don't know how to play it.

Even myself a die-hard forza fan (was) played GT4 and im kinda hooked into it now. I really like the damage... but i'll sacrifice that for a good simulator.

My favorite part is how the tracks aren't smooth. They give more of a feel for the track with the bumps. It shows you cant just fly around The Ring in a car.

GT4 has started my dreams up and im hoping GT5will fulfill them

They did work on the car physics a lot, if you go to their web site, you will find the videos a lot cleaner and you can see the suspension moving a lot.

one thing i really like (and think that it's a good improvement) from other GT series, is that there are more cars that you can race against (instead of just 6 total cars). i think it gives a bit more realistic racing environment.
