  • Rhinocerous!!

  • sound is awesome. i would dial it back a bit. a little wet for my taste

  • Sounds like a damn flanger lol

  • wich one's better between Corona Chorus and The DL-8

  • @031139988 do you mean the hardwire dl-8? that's a delay/looper which is completely different compared the corona chorus which is a 'chorus pedal'.

  • CANT TELL IF PEDAL SOUND GOOD OR JUST GEETAR D8

  • This pedal sounds beautiful. This is deffinately going to be put on my pedal board :)

  • @WotWOfficial yeah good question

  • This, or the TC Electronics Corona?

  • @WotWOfficial I don't know about this pedal, but earlier today I played the corona at elderly. I played it with the Boss Super Chorus and Chorus Ensemble, it was much more satisfying than both of the Bosses and I highly recommend it.

  • prefer the sound of the 'analog' and 'vintage' modes best. I still wouldn't buy a digital chorus though.

  • sweet Rhinoceros by the smashing pumpkins

  • Big tone! Very natural!

  • Rhinoceros!!!!!

  • Great demo !These are awesome pedals! Listen up people! If you "like" the hardwire pedals fan page on Facebook you have a chance to win a free hardwire effect pedal on free pedal Friday!

  • Such a great pedal, can't wait to get mine soon ! :)

  • hmmm this or the Black label chorus anyone?

  • That modern tone was perfect for some RHCP.

  • First song is rhinoceros by smashing pumpkins.

  • 4:10 Lithium - Nirvana

  • @Shmegr thank you very much. i was trying hard to remember the song

  • incubus used this pedal to make stellar.

  • Is this pedal digital or analog?

  • @Shredpolice Digital, but has an analog option

  • @boxtrap21

    What does that mean?

  • @mexicanmudslide4500 it means it will do analog modeling - but it's a digital pedal.

  • best chorus pedal ever...

  • Nice one review

  • i like it

  • Thank you Andy, always a Rush lick in there somewhere...

  • Love it... :)

  • I though that was smashing pumpkins...off their first record.

  • @basspole It is, it's Rhinoceros.

  • 4:53 - WEST COAST BLUES!!!!

  • Always a Rush riff somewhere, great stuff :-)

  • Flangy chorus in my opinion (not a bad thing but....)...Is it better than the X Series?

  • lithium?

  • By the dogs of Allah, you must convert to Islam and help us fight the infadels! Oh sorry wrong Youtube site. Anyway, great sounding pedal.

  • @lute760 hahaha lol....durka durka!

  • im gonna buy this.

  • NEERVARNAR

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds like smashing pumpkins, awesome.

  • Is there any Chorus pedal you would prefer over this one?

  • @sonicsmainman1 deltalab sc-1 trust me i got it its awesome it only for $60

  • One of the first Digitech pedals I've seriously considered. Looks and sounds like a quality piece.

  • I love this pedal, especially on the multi mode with some delay. You can get some really sweet spacey sounds.

  • Would this pedal come close to a steve rothery'ish kinda chorus sound?

  • Everyone wondering about these - I tested all of 'em, and bought the Valve Distortion SC2... these are all very good quality, and offer a lot of sounds to choose from, and it's worth paying a bit more for them. I've compared mine with standard digitech, boss, mxr, ibanez. These are the best. Offered most and best sound quality. It's worth it. And it's very solid, I've accidentaly dropped it once, and it left a dent in a concrete floor, but had absolutely no issues after! All metal. Real solid.

  • this or the Boss chorus? answer please!

  • @matthew909 .. this!

  • @matthew909 this!!

  • Rhinoceros!

  • im looking for a good chorus pedal. should i get this? or the mxr stere chorus.

  • @nfoley18 idk bro if it different modes you want then go with this. its is a really good pedal. all thoes modes true bypass and stereo outs!?!?

but if you wanna dial your own tone and have greater flexability to personalize your tone to your own taste. but still want stereo outputs. then id say the mxr is better for you. personally id take the mxr over this. just cause im picky but this is not a bad pedal at all.

  • NIRVANA -LITHIUM 4:11

  • thinkin bout trading in my boss ce-5 for this.... what you guys think?

  • RUSH!!

  • Fuzz Heaven !!!!

  • smashing pumpkins!!!!!!

  • Digitech makes some really great chorus pedals. I own the XBC bass multi chorus pedal. It sounds incredible and works great with guitar too.

  • hmmm, this or boss ce-20? price isnt an issue

  • i think this has a wider range of sounds but the boss is better for fine tuning what it has so if u are sure u like the analog boos sound then go with that but if ur not sure about what ul like than get this

  • @LukeManos This for sure 100%

  • This pedal sounds raelly good! It's not at all over the top, it's very suddle, wich is good. Over the top chorus sounds like crap.

  • SUBTLE not suddle

  • This is hands down one of the best chorus pedals on the market. It really has to be heard in stereo to be truly appreciated. If you're using it only in mono, you're only getting half the tone this thing has to offer! I run 2 amps into a stereo cab and I've used this with each amp's fx loop running into this pedal and the sound is amazing. Much better than my beloved old boss CE5 and my brother's small stone. Pair it with the hardwire delay and reverb in stereo you're golden.

  • whats the song at 5:21 ?????

  • closer to the heart by rush

  • And the men who hold high places! Must be the ones to start! To mold a new reality, closer to the heart.

  • this one doesn't sound that good to me.

  • Sorry i´m noob wha'ts the difference between analog and digital chorus?

  • better than boss

  • @megadethfans96 BOSS sucks

  • I never liked chorus that much... But this pedal is so amazing that will probably go to my pedalboard...

  • oh. my. god. rhinoceros. was amazing.

  • Which one would u guys rocomend to me??

The hardwire chorus or the Visual Sound one?

  • If you're after a completely analog type sound/build, the VS H20 is the way to go. If you want versatility with a few modern features, this pedal is probably the way to go.

  • This is digital, right?

  • yes it is, but it has an analog setting, so its kinda both

  • Chumleh says ANALOG DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY

  • Well that doesn't mean it has analog circuit inside. Digital pedals try to replicate analog effects but IMO never come close. Note when he says analog, he says "mimics bucketbrigade chips"...oh well. the pedal sounds great.

  • oh my god, he played rush!!!!!!!!

  • smashing pumpkins:D

  • nice little bit of rhinoceros by smashing pumpkins at the start

  • I'm new to effect pedals so can someone please answer my question? Do the settings on my amp affect the way the pedal sounds? If it does how should the settings on my amp be. Please answer.

  • Yes the amp is probably the 2nd most important element to effect pedals(other than effect pedals :D). It heavily affects the pedal's tone. If your amp doesn't have an effects loop (a loop on the back of the amp) keep your amp very clean. EQ it how you like:that's a matter of taste.

  • lol at 4:15 he plays lithium ....great song...

  • I heard this in a shop and it really sounded great. So much better than their digital processors (and any other multi-fx's)

  • EHX Small Clone is the best chorus pedal.

  • opinion?

  • its sounds okay. need a hands on demo my self tobesure...

  • sounds like a nice small clone.

  • woah! love the Rush! hardwire is a great line of pedals!

  • stereo chorus is sweeeet

  • Which do you think is better: this, or an EHX small clone?

  • i'm so happy, that today ive found my friends....yeeaaahh yeaaahhh.....funky pedal

  • Pumpkins! Nice work, Andy.

  • great pedal. wish I'd bought before Boss super chorus, which is well made and just mediocre sounding

  • Yeah, I don't really dig the "Boss Super Chorus" either. Actually, I think the "Chorus Ensemble" sounds better than the super chorus - I think it's cheaper too? Idk, the super chorus is probably the weakest chorus pedal Boss ever made? IMO. haha But, this demo of the "Digitech Hardwire CR-7 Stereo Chorus" sounds pretty damn sweet!!!! I'd think about getting one if I didn't already have a TC electronic chorus plus/Flanger & the G-Major (rack) & a Boss DC-2. I mean how many choruses does 1 need?

  • boss dc 3 is a sweet chorus

  • Yep. . . Digitech has come a long way. These are worthwhile pedals. Even for the ardent tone chaser.

  • this does sound really really good and i would be very tempted to buy one.... if the e/harmonix small clone didnt exist. That is one kick-ass chorus!

  • Damn, Digitech is owning right now with these Hardwire pedals.

  • Honestly, the hardwire pedals are so much more superior to most other pedals out there these days, they are such a good deal too....

  • Great Digitech chorus pedal

  • how much does this pedal cost?

  • 110 bucks I thinks

  • awesome song by the pumpkins

  • Best videos around...Congratulations !

  • Rhinocerous! <3

  • Having not been sure what kind of chorus to step up to, I think I've found my ideal. I've been in love with the "Gish" sound and wasn't able to hit it with what I have.

Excellent videos! Thanks for giving good, clean demos of how a pedal will sound.

  • again nice demonstration and good incorporation of closer to the heart....i have a hardwire cm-2 it gives a great range of tone and the true bypass is genius

  • wow.. i think its the best chorus pedal in the market

  • Rush yeahh!

Watching this Hardwire pedals demos I can see clearly that many Boss pedals will be out of catalogue soon. They just can't compete with these Digitech made, not even in price therms!

  • Thats some cool effects!!

  • I own four of these series digitech, they are slowly replaceing many boss pedals in my chain...Love the Delay/Looper and the Stereo reverb.

  • Ive been slowly replacing all my boss pedals w/ the hardwire line, replaced the ds-1 w/ the metal distortion this is an awesome pedal, replaced my tube screamer w/ the valve dist. I have a chorus factory by digitech and absolutely hate it!! planning on the cr-7. after listening to this demo,,i'm sold on hardwire pedal's I've found my sound,,great pedal's

  • sounds great!

    how rugged are these tho?

i've never looked into digitech much before so idk their reputation.

  • They seem very rugged actually. The knobs themselves feel like sturdy rackmount knobs (detented). The enclosure is all metal too. These are a step up from previous Digitech pedals.

    -PGS

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Are they more durable than Boss pedals, and are these HardWire pedals true bypass?

  • @The1970sInfatuate We don't run pedals through any rigorous testing but they seem just as reliable as any Boss pedal. Yes, True Bypass is the concept of all Hardwire pedals. Thanks,

    PGS

  • @The1970sInfatuate I love the reverb, they are nicer than boss IMO, you don't have to velcro them to your pedalboard to keep them from moving so much like the boss pedals and I know people argue but yeah the boss pedals suck tone without the true bypass

  • From what I've heard these new pedals are about as rugged as it gets and seem to be good quality generally.

  • I've owned a bunch of Digitech pedals and believe me they are built like a tank!

  • @jamiesawwn I have the Hardwire DL8 delay which shares the same build quality as the whole HW line: LIKE A TANK! You'd have to try pretty hard to hurt one.

  • I'm really suprised how good these pedals are and the x series...big bang for the buck..

  • I think this pedal would be great for Bass players

  • they make a bass chorus, I honestly can't tell you one is better than the other.. I have the bass chorus and I use it for guitar too, it's a heavy tank of a pedal.. lots of options, does what it's supposed to

  • How does it behave on bass? Anyone?

  • I was very surprised with this pedal, I actually really like its chorus tones, very cool.

  • Great pedal!

  • sweet job !! " Closer to the heart " .. sounds awesome !!!

  • I was waiting for this review before i got one and im convinced.

    thanks pgs

  • Lithium!!! Oh yeah!!!

  • Rhinoceros would be a brilliant song to play unplugged.

  • I tried out all the Hardwire pedals just recently and I have to say they really sound great. The Reverb, Delay and Tube Overdrive are probably the best. This Chorus version is killer too, one of the most versatile pedals I've heard in a while.

  • Please review the hardwire distortions. Pretty please :)

  • rhinoceros, my favorite sp song! Nice demo.

  • I have never seen a compact pedal which was hand wired. It looks so much like a BOSS pedal, which I find a bit suspicious. An since it's digital, why is hand wirering a selling point?

    Sounds decent thou.

  • There's a difference between Hand wired and Hard wired. It refers to the nature of the True Bypass of this pedal.

    PGS

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos silent true bypass or loud pop?

  • There's loads of handwired compact pedals! Just check out.. well.. just about any boutique builder..

  • Some settings sound more flangey then chorusy. Sounds pretty good though.

  • Andy was too quiet in this video :(

    *sobs*

  • cool

  • wow. I've been wanting a review of the new digitech hardwire series. I've seen ads for it in guitar tutoring magazines for weeks after new year.

You gotta test the other ones too!

    cheers!

  • smashing pumpkins!!

    amazing demo, thank you guys.

  • Cool pedal. looks real nice too..

  • WOW sounds realy awsome
