I Love this, thanks for sharing. I'm a bit confused - are the lyrics original Rumi, or modified by Deepak Chopra, or simply inspired by Rumi? Thanks, Ali
My heart is on fire In my madness I roam the desert The flames of my passion devour the wind and the sky My cries of longing, my waves of sorrow are tormenting my soul You wait patiently looking into my intoxicated eyes You accept my passion with the serenity of Love You are the master of existence One day I shall be a Lover, like You
Thanks for posting. The poem is a mirror of my desire. Rumi draws the images out of my heart which is not as articulate...but the longing is the same. The voice was intense but not seductive and that was an excellent choice. I didn't connect the first image of the academic or ecclesiastical or institutional building with the vivid and moving images of the rest of the clip
Thanks for viewing latruner. Allow me to respond to your observation. You said, Rumi draws the images out of your heart which is not as articulate.. but the longing is the same. I feel you have that concept of form and formlessness. I wanted to put in the video something that....
...would challenge us to go beyond the form or see through the form and still feel the formless. The building is the form.. the emotion that we feel seeing it, hearing the music and the words is the formless. Like the words (form) that your heart may not express, but the longing (formless) it can truly feel. Thank you for viewing and feeling.
Wonderful.....nice effort..thanks 4 sharing

Have not heard sweeter words than the echo of love

He said "My Magnus are roam with deserts"
Magnus as in Kingdom. An old English word that came from Norway and Denmark.
jangear 2 years ago
with all due respect, why would Rumi write about Magnus? DrBillRamos is correct, he is saying "in my madness..."
