Te lucis ante terminum Rerum Creator poscimus, Ut pro tua clementia, Sis praesul et custodia. Procul recedant somnia, Et noctium phantasmata; Hostemque nostrum comprime, Ne polluantur corpora. Praesta, Pater piissime, Patrique compar Unice, Cum Spiritu Paraclito Regnans per omne saeculum. Amen.
I had this sung at my first wedding. 30 years later it still gives me goosebumps just hearing it. My late wife and I sung this in the school choir, and it was just as moving then, as now...

The Victoria era was from 1837? - 1901...so I was wrong, but the influence is there. This piece is grand and "gilded." It brings back fond memories.

This piece sounds like it's from the Victorian era. I'm pretty sure I'm correct.
