When Lorena Bobbit cut off her man's penis, to my knowledge he didn't stop being a man. A man is not clothing, hairstyle or appendages, any more than it is for a woman. Gender is between the ears not between the legs. None of us are who we used to be so why glorify the past? I know that one day Cher's words will match what's in her heart & pray they continue to heal their relationship. I'm happy for Chaz for finally being happy. Chaz you do sound so much like Sonny now!

It makes me sad to see ridicule of Chaz. I worked in Palm Springs cable production in the 90s and was fortunate enough to see Chastity around and know many people that knew her. Everyone loved and adored her. She was a nice person. Now I see a nice, caring man. If Chaz needs the hormonal balance of a man to feel comfortably at peace I can think of no other who deserves it more. As Chastity or Chaz, I know first hand what a precious person he is. To all the haters: Leave Chaz Alone!

I don't think that transgender female to males or their lesbian girlfriends realise just how much the testosterone will alter their basic character. Subsequently the relationships post transition often fail because the lesbian partner wanted a girlfriend who was also a lesbian - not a man, & they struggle to remain attracted to someone who not only looks like a man but starts behaving like one with a dramatically different emotional character, it must be so much harder being t.g. than just gay.

I admire Chaz SOOOOO much! He's an inspiration to anyone else having the same feelings and struggles, and anyone else who knows they are transgender. I hope this opens up more peoples' minds to this and similar issues within the LGBT community and it makes people see that these people are normal and are not freaks or weird or sick in the head. Congrats to Chaz on his new life. I wish you love, peace and happiness. <3

@verdad0000 I can't fathom laying around 24/7, eating talking/ writing about mama,surgery ,& how miserable I once was. She'll always be miserable if she doesn't feel shes reached full potential . Accomplishment ,supporting family, key to being a happy man. Her woman will clearly get bored with this. Chaz feels the need to be in public. Shes figured out how to do that. & its a sense of accomplishment, it makes her happy. Attention causes much of that but its boring , then what?
