  • @nawclone

Actually it isn't what the scolars understood of the meaning of thr word hit in its context was a kind of playfull tap with something like a toothbrush, there isn't any type of painfull infliction in the matter only a way to invoke order.

  • why is it ok to hit women ?

  • @LetTheHolySpiritIn, can you tell me how is it natural to not have a family? And what good comes out of it?

  • @TheAbdullaah The question is not about what is natural, but what pleases God. For example, people consider eating very natural, but still they do fasting. I guess this is a good analogy.

  • Ack! I made it 5 minutes before I got tired of not hearing the answer! He's worse than Pat Robertson!!!

  • Very well concluded. Walaikum assalam.

  • Most Americans treat their women so bad !

and they claim that Muslim women are oppressed!

When Muslim women see the way they are treated is the best because

a jealous man for sure is not a pork consumer!

Pegs are the only animals that their males are never jealous!

The same goes for those who eat pork! There jealousy level keeps descending in a slope!

  • The best of the catholic men and women are ment to teach and assist in great events not to change dipers and spend sleeples nights feeding baby. They are ment to do awesome things and they do. That is why they choose not to merry. Also they are less selfish having no family. God bless them.

Yusuf Estes has no understanding of Christians.

  • @LetTheHolySpiritIn this is what God created women for, to bear children. The Prophets had children. Moses had children, Abraham had children.

  • @skaharris Men and women are created on God's image. Women has no function assigned to her. She is not a machine or incubator. If she wants to have children - that's great for her and her husband. If she chooses a different type of love, like carrying about other people for example like Mother Teresa of Calcutta, I'm sure God also likes it very much.

  • @LetTheHolySpiritIn God's command in your bible in Genesis clearly he told Adam and eve to be fruitful and become many fill the earth and subdue it. That was their assignment according to the Bible so no way can not having children be right. Why because Paul said so? please, Paul used to be a Pharisee!! not even Jesus' disciples believed that Paul, formerly Saul, had truthfully converted because he used to kill the followers of Christ.

  • @skaharris What has Paul/Saul got to do with this? You didn't understand what I wrote. Woman is a free person. If she loves a man, she should have children as the fruit of their love. Otherwise she doesn't have to. God blessed them in Genesis. God gave them ability. But not an strict order. Show me a commandment that orders to have children. Did Moses give it in 10 commandments? Did Abraham give it? Did Jesus give it? Who gave it? Jesus didn't meant procreation when he told about fruits.

  • @LetTheHolySpiritIn the prophets would not have had to give that order since it came directly form God's mouth. And yes a woman is a free woman, but she still will never be equal to a man because of the abilities that God has blessed her with. A man will never be able to have a period, he can never give birth or nurse a child, so yes it is a blessing as well. But another human being can not tell you that you are not allowed to be married or have children n no where in the Bible says abt nuns

  • @LetTheHolySpiritIn Paul/Saul was the one who claimed that it is better not to be married, and he is the only one who made that claim. So i think,in my opinion, it is unreliable. Where can you prove in the Bible for it to be better not to be married and have children? You can't.

  • @skaharris I think I have said everything.

"For in the resurrection they shall neither marry nor be married; but shall be as the angels of God in heaven." - some people try to live like this already, and you should not play down their importance. Marriage is one of a few kinds of loving one another. If they love God and love other people and carry about them, what do you have to do with this? As long as they celibate, they don't violate anything. I'm sure God likes it, so you should not hate it

  • @LetTheHolySpiritIn who mentioned anything about hate?? I just asked where in the Bible does it say anything about Nuns, that is all. I can show you in the Bible where a woman is supposed to cover herself, 1Corinthians 11:6, as a matter of fact the entire chapter speaks about this matter, but it was early in the 20th century that woman in the church stopped wearing veils to pray in Church.

  • @LetTheHolySpiritIn that scripture that you quoted about the resurrection, that is found in Luke 20:35. But let me tell you something about Luke, ok, Luke was not an original disciple of Jesus, Luke was not there with Jesus while he was on earth, and the so-called book Luke is intact a letter written to Theopolus, so tell me how did a personal letter end up being scripture? Luke's testimony about the life of Jesus was by hear say, which any court of law would throw out, hear say is invalid.

  • read Luke 1:3, proof of hearsay, proof it is a personal letter

  • I cant answer your questions because I am not a scholar or a learned muslim but i will tell you one thing as a humble believer of Allah (swt). Read it properly its quite straught farward.

Good Muslims do the things they do because God told them to do these things, however contraversial and/or unfair you may think they are.

And by Good muslims, i mean those who practice Islam and are on the straight path. I hope what I have said is right, only the Almighty knows. Allah bless us all.

  • I have a quetstion. Why are muslim women not allowed to marry any other person( not muslim)?? And why are muslim men allowed to marry and use women that are not muslim??? Can I get a stright answer????

  • @00B01 muslim women can not marry kaffers (non muslims) because they will not be given the rights that islam gives and because the children might be raised as kaffers (non muslims). and muslim men can only marry muslim, jewish, christian and zorastrian women

  • @ooklepookle

Hilarious how women are always given a bouble standard...and inferior standard of rights and freedom.

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs @KillinDaWelfareMCs Actually covering up doesn't make you inferior to men and it doesn't take any of your rights and freedoms away. Islam is all about rights even the children have rights!! Muslim women have the right to be educated and work. Respecting your body and being modest doesn't make you inferior, let the truth set you free from all the ignorance thats out there ~ peace

  • @3051794

I'm not talking about coverinig up

    Double standard in Koran

    A couple of examples..

Sura 2:228 says: Wives have the same rights as the husbands have on them in accordance with the generally known principles. Of course, MEN ARE A DEGREE ABOVE

Sura 4:34 "...beat your wife...." How come woman can't beat her husband if he is bad?

    ect ect.

Sura 4:11 says: The share of the male shall be twice that of a female

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs first of all thank you so much for showing your concern in Islam, really appreciate it May the truth set your free. You see you have to understand the verses in their proper context. Qur'an wasn't just for the Arabs it's for the whole of humnaity there's goodness even for you if you open your heart and mind. what you quoted surah 2:228 men are not a degree above women and women are not above men not a black over a white nor a white over a black except in piety

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs con't: plz read this verse "For submitted men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise, for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward." (33:35)

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs con't I already know my religion and I know it's the truth from the Creator of me and YOU and the Creator of all that exists and "beat your wives" doesn't mean that you take a stick and start beating them The prophet(SAW) never in His did He lift his hand to hit anyone not his wives, not his children, not even his enemies!! don't blame for those who beat their wives blame those "so-called" muslims who know nothing of Islam, peace.

  • @3051794 Ofcourse there is only ONE GOD of the universe...

I understand that you would try to rationalize the authority Islam gives you to beat your wife, and other inequalities prescribed in the Koran.

But for us non muslims looking in those are imperfect teachings.

It does not offer the same rights to the woman to beat her husband if he is bad. Why if there is equality in Islam?

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs plz define what equality means to you? that is between men and women? and specially define "equality" between a husband and a wife? thanks again!!

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs men and women are equal to allah. But they are not the same! a woman has a different nature and a man has a different nature. Allah has made it abundantly clear that he only favours those who are pious.. and every person is capable of being pious. .. also you referred to a verse stating that men are above women.. please understand and research the context. they are a degree above women in 'responsibility'! men are the protectors of women.

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs hello as a Muslim i would like to explain the verses you have presented us with.

first of all the subject of inheritance: A man provides for his family. he pays the expenses, he brings money home to feed his wife and children. A woman who has or earns her own money keeps it for her self, she has no obligation to give any money to the husband under any circumstance. so the son who inherits will need it when he weds a wife. if u need more explaining then email me if u want

  • @00B01 Because Islam oppresses women.

    That is the only answer

  • It is interesting that the partition that is mentioned also exists in Orthodox Judaism and in Orthodox Christianity.

The are additional reasons and differences, but the similarities are interesting.

    God bless.

  • But, I have to disagree with Yusuf Estees where he tries to generalize the "worst" and the "best" (e.g. monks, nuns, and priests from the ordinary Christian).

Even Muslims believe that Mary was a virgin and gave a virgin birth to Jesus (Issa). She was the best of the best, and for this reason Allah gave her that blessing. Therefore, Yusuf Estees' generalization is not a fair one or well thought out.

    God Bless.

  • I think every Muslim knows about the position of Mary and I believe Yusuf Estees knows better. I think he was just generalizing with regard to Catholicism. He was not going as far as you think to Mary and possible the wife of Pharaoh in Egypt.

    God bless

  • I think you miss-understood his point bro. He's comparing the best people in christianity to regular muslims.

  • Hi spyx5,

Yes, Yusuf Estees labels the "best" as those who are nuns and monks and priests (at least in Roman Catholicism) because they cannot get married. But that is not consistent in Christian perspectives which do not view ordained people as the "best", but as servants. As servants they do have the opportunity to excel, but so do ordinary people who are not ordained or have taken vows. Otherwise, why would he say that Christianities "best" cannot get married?

    God bless.

  • I get your point. I think the reason he is labeling them as the best, is because their commitment, devostion, and way of life will alow them to have a higher chance in going to heaven, because they are less likly to make mistakes like ordinary people, because of their positions. And/or in most cases try harder to please God than ordinary people. Atleast thats the perspective Im looking at. What are your thoughts?

  • Hi again spyx5,

My thoughts on this are many. In both Christianity and Islam, only God judges who is truly best. However, sometimes who Christians or Muslims call "best" are sometimes the worst! LOL But jokes aside, still understand what Yusuf Estees is trying to make, and in many ways he is trying to encourage the development and growth of what is best, but I disagree that procreation sustains what is best in all cases.

    God bless my friend.

  • Mary, & who could ever be like Mary! She's the best of women who had ever existed & I think she will never have alike. God gave her a miracle that is not an everyday event. Yusuf Estes knows this. Imagine if all the nuns & monks that have existed before were married & had children, how would it be for the christian world today? The man is right.

  • salaam calekum.... to all BRO. and SIS. may Allah Bless Shaikh Yusuf Estes. i learn a lot from him. and he is good teacher.
