  • A-MAY- ZING -3

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • I don't have any trouble ignoring Apple. XD

  • this is the most enlightening ad I've ever seen. thanks Steve Jobs

  • RIP Steve Jobs!

  • Rest in PEACE STEVE JOBS. "isad" ....

  • Rest in peace, Steve.

  • A M A Z I N G !!!

    this totally blew me away!

  • Kinetic typography? what did you use to make this?

  • Seems like I am fit to work for Apple.

  • I love <3 Richard Dreyfuss hes sexxxxyy

  • Absolutely brilliant advert.

  • apple does not change the world ;)

  • @ars1983 they sorta did

  • @ars1983 correct - Cydia does :P

  • Is it Richard Dreyfus?

  • This is such a load of marketing toss. Microsoft and apple are the status quo. They are domineering intimidating companies that sue smaller ones and lie about other companies stealing source code.

  • Whose voice is this?

  • hitler changed the world...

    hmm.

  • @reeka411 But he didn't push the human race forward.

  • Up in HD please!!! i need this video!

  • please tell me who wrote this whole quote thanks...

  • Yes, obama is the lawless one. Tremendously eye opening. Just genius. No rules. Just like a god. That's what the world wants to hear. That's what the world desires. Power through lawlessness. Power and moving ahead without any rules. Yes we can. The crazy one say's, "yes we can." Fired up and ready to go. Obamas gonna change it. Obamas gonna change the world for everyone who puts their hope in him. Forget what is written. Throw off all of the chains and move forward into a world without rules.

  • They're not fond of rules : )

  • the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world... are really fuckin crazy.

  • Richard Dreyfuss thinks 9/11 was perpetrated by Muslims . . . AND he thinks 9/11 truthers should be "medicated." Thanks, fucktard.

  • I love this typography.

  • Yes! I am changing the world! Step 1: A conscious expanding chewing gum with low doses of Salvia divinorum; Step 2: A space for conscious collaboration to stimulate our nervous systems into a virtual state of nirvana; Step 3 love contests; Step 4: learning from my spiritual teachings; Step 5: coherent combination of Mandelbrot Set with Wheel of Life Mandala. All this is detailed in my 273 page document viewable or downloadable from parouzia dot commm

  • "apple" a word means a company that match expectations and more.

    I regret every moment i used a PC not a Mc .

  • i love this

  • Algunas de las hazañas más grandes de la humanidad han sido obra de personas que no eran lo bastante listas para comprender que eran imposibles.

  • cool what did you use to make this???

    replyplzz

    what softfare??

  • wow this was so amazing!!!

  • he just took a microscopist commercial and put an apple sign at the end

  • I lol'd.

  • i love this commercial

  • the were peaple say crazy or different or watever; we see genious, that is what steve jobs sait in boston in 1997 conference when they maked a deal when microsof, the say it in the 10th min or sumthin like that.

  • actually, the "easter egg" text is not the same... but pretty similar! apple ownz!

  • APPLE FTW

    /me is a macfag

  • cool story bro

  • Lmao MacFag?

  • cool

  • they are not. see what they are doing in the WWDC. they just compromise with the mass

  • I still do not believe apple should consider themselves part of that group.

  • this is Microsoft's ad steve jobs wouldn't say this the gut who said this was in the Microsoft corperation and it is found in Windows operating system

  • Are you stupid? Watch the "microsoft" one here: watch?v=OTB0J8fDp8o&feature=related

Clearly you can see the apple when you pause it JUST before the microsoft logo.. I guess now you know why he disabled the comments..

  • Yeah the "Microsoft one" is pretty immature.

  • I like this ad. No real comparison between operating systems. It doesn't try to claim superiority without an actual comparison. There isn't an intentionally identifying stereotype invented to help image. It's straight, honest, artistic, elegant, and a great narration. Why did this get replaced with the Mac vs PC crap?

  • cliche of the week:

the round pegs in the square holes

  • It is an Apple because the words are a quote by Steve Jobs.

  • Yes, it's Apple's! There's even an "easter egg" to find it in the latest OSX: Go to Applcations folder, find the Textedit, then, click "get info' for it. Then when its Info Box comes up, click the icon in the top left corner. And after it has a faint blue outline around it, hit CMD+C (=COPY to clipboard). Then launch the Preview application. Under File menu, click the top "New from clipboard" command. Result is artwork of this narrated poem, shown in different sizes! :-)

then you can read it :)

  • it's true. Nice.

    thanks for the tip.

  • NO WAY, thats awesome, thanks for sharing it

  • Or just do Quick View (space bar) on the TextEdit icon and make the popup bigger to show all the detail.

  • So is it Microsoft's or Apple's ad?

  • I am thinking is it Apple's. Because of the style of the Apple forming at the end, it just jives with the whole thing better.

  • No it's not Microsoft's. Someone only slapped the MS name onto the end of a different copy of THIS same animation, uploaded by a different user. The soundtrack of this video is directly taken off a 1997 ad by Apple in their "Think Different" series. You can see it on Youtube for yourself: just go look up Apple Think Different ads.

  • @M946 no you are lying

  • The voice of the narrator and the background music is so powerfull! The animation/graphics takes that magic even further!

Amazing, how harmonized the whole thing is.

Congrats and my respect to the author.

  • FYI, the narrator is actor Richard Dreyfuss. :-)

  • wow, this one is awesome. great work.

  • "the ones who think different"

oh ya, that DEFINITELY sounds like microsoft to me

  • I've Just notice in the beginning of this video. It's has a university seal, Chulalongkorn University from Thailand.

This video may be made from students from there :)

  • like the ad says, you can love or hate apple and its products but one thing that you can't do is ignore 'em

  • Genius.

  • For those who hate apple, this work was not produced by Apple but by a designer who liked the quote and decided to make a work of art of it. Like or loathe Apple, you cant deny this motion work is inspirational!

  • This is one of my favourite motion designs!!!

  • this is really inspirational. go apple!

  • So..is Heath Ledger's Joker narrating this commercial or what?

  • Microsoft made this ad

  • They didn't, but...

they are a *great* company who have many *fantastic* ads.

I don't hate them; nor to I hate Macs.

I respect Bill and Steve (and the other Steves), and Paul Allen. They, and their companies, are amazing.

It's not about Apple v. Microsoft, it's about improving the computer industry, which they do spectacularly.

  • I am so glad someone else has a sensible view on the whole thing.

Though I don't like Jobs much I respect what he as done and his company is amazing. Gates has made so many leaps in computer use it is crazy. People might complain about Vista but they seem to forget about Xp or even Windows 95. 2 Great products that did so much for computing.

  • wow! really

  • awesome, 5 stars

  • woncderful!

  • Love Apple! And I'm going to work for it.

  • ace

  • i hate apple's stupid get a mac ads. why aren't they using good ads like this one? this was a great ad.

  • weither you like apple or not, there's no denying they make great ads, this is one of my favorite ads, thanks for the upload, but i perfer the original, but thanks anyways...

  • Thats a fantastic video.

  • very funny copy of the microsoft add.. hey steve u can come here and kiss my ***...

  • no... I think it was the other way around. If your referring about the "Very cool Microsoft Ad" video, you can see the Apple Logo being Covered by a Microsoft Logo at 0:56 into the video.

  • 0:56 there was no apple logo ... 0:59 microsoft logo appeared loser..

  • So your going to make a decision just by viewing the Microsoft AD of this? See this video till the end and compare it with the "Microsoft copy". You'll see what I'm talking about the logos.

And so if this is a Microsoft Ad, than give me proof and evidence of it. That other video doesn't cut it.

  • get a life its just a add

  • nice excuse you were just wrong

  • go watch it ur self...

  • i dont like apple but i think your wrong

  • i dont wrong

  • Nice try. This was part of Apple's 'Think Different' campaign in the late 90s, had nothing to do with Microsoft. Although I'm amused by how many have been taken in by it...

  • Excellent!!!

  • It is so fast.Mow Head...

  • A really nice add, but a tad hypocritical in my opinion. The ad talks about people not liking rules etc, however Apple try their best to make sure that you can't install OS X on any hardware except for their own. Which sucks really.

Other than that a really ncie ad.

  • this is from 1997, years before the intel switch

  • you still can't install OS X on any hardware except their own

  • yes i think i no that, why are you telling me

  • you do no apple use intel processors and have since Jan 2006. they switched from IBM's PowerPC chips.

  • Richard Dryfus has a smooth voice, damn.

    Good ad.

But I've yet to see it on TV yet.

    Maybe during the Olympics?

  • this advert is over 11 years old, so thats why you haven't seen it lol. Think different campaign ended in 2002, replaced by switch ads then they were replaced by the get a mac ads in 2006

  • i should of added the unedited version of this advert

  • LOVE IT!

  • If you enlarge the TextEdit Application Icon, This quote is printed on it. Well at least most of it.

  • ha! i never noticed that...interesting

  • this is a verry good add

the sound to it is soft

lol i think im gonna cry lol

  • it's called advertising.

    ever heard of it?

  • Your comments make me smile. :D

  • It's a quote and moral boost for all apple user that get bashed daily just because they want change.

And you're doing exactly what's expected of you. Not ignore us. How about not being the stereo type windows user?

Macbook is not even expensive compaired to other pre build laptops. It's only about 100 to 200 dollar more. And that's just only dollar. it costs 1000 euro here (like 1500 dollar). But it stays the same.

  • Macs are away of life for many people I have used macs 10 years and am very over the top i have 5 macs, macs also run office

  • wats ur problem? seriously if u dont think of it as an add its great. and if u havent noticed mac isnt bashing PCs, and it called ADVERTISING. i honestly think ur on crack, and dude, you need a chill pill, so go take ur brain for a walk to cool it down!!

  • Simply perfect...

  • simply amazing...

  • Crazy how God gives these "subliminal messages" in everyday commmercials, huh? Do you know who the commercial is talking about?

  • God your a noob.

  • Maybe a stupid commercial, but what's wrong?

  • Sugoiii!! Loved it. I want a Mac sooo bad.

  • Beautiful !

  • lovely

  • yeah, wished Apple bringed the Think Diffrent back, more think Diffrent less music... (focus more on their computers just a bit more than iPod)

  • simply amazing

  • I love it!

  • Excellent!

  • So true, so true...

  • Great commercial!

  • Hell yeah! I'm a crazy one too, I think different than most people, I'm an Apple man at heart with this comercial. I am that round rod in that square whole, the odd one, the crazy one, the oddball, the one who wants to change the world. Apple, you make me believe, Apple forever!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • you realize this is merely a re-envisioning of the original "think different" ad that apple ran almost 15 years ago? study up before you make your comments

  • Well sir, I do realize that and if you re-read my comment, you'll see it applies the same. Thanks for playing.

As far as I am concerned (since this is about personal opinions), something so great should be used toward something more meaningful / worthwile. I would say the same if it was linux or windows. And to who made this, GREAT WORK! Software vendors, regardless of the money they make, aren't worthy of such artistic abilities.

  • what's the name of the font used?

  • Well YT doesn't like 'em much, as it censors nonconformists. See my "Anticonsumer flushed down the YouTube".

  • it was made by apple oringnlly as there think different campain its a power full ad and dont see why you cant seem to relize the apple logo at the end and if you think about it does have alot to do with macs becouse steve jobs saw things differently. with out steve jobs you might not have you tube becouse his innovations and ideas led to xerox giving apple stuff like the gui the mouse. and whene i wrote the reply i saw things differently. oh you asked what this has to do with apple alot.

  • I could the entire damn post again but it wouldn't matter would it?

  • i love this video!!! best mac ad i've ever seen!

  • thats the best ad I'v ever seen.

  • love this video. got accused of being a square peg and pushing everyone forward in an environment that doesn't move along easy ...government! HAHA!!

  • no duh, but it wont do any good if you cant differentitate between "all" the other windows in maya. also F9ing and clicking on window tabs it just has a different feel which is easier to work with in windows.

  • expose isnt suited for maya, it tiles windows but you cant always know which window is what just by looking at it. theres so many windows in maya, it just clutters everything. while windows has window tabs you know whats what.

  • im an art major, me and my friends work with several different programs both on the mac and the pc. so i know what im talkin about bud.

  • excellent point

  • Sure thing howdydoo. I'm just your average mac user :)

  • and maya isnt programmed to "Crash" in windows. it is most likely due to misuse by the user ie. spyware, malware. your facts are either wrong or just a plain out lie. or you like to twist things in your favor than throw em at me hoping id agree.

  • thats debatable. maya actually is suited to run better on windows because you are working on multiple windows at a time while running maya. apple does not have any window tabs, you are forced to F9 every other second just to switch inbetween windows. as for why they did, uh ask them? not me? could be an issue with something other than just technology?

  • i have a powerbook with osx. owner of 2 years.

  • Well played, Sir. lol.

  • all im saying, apple isnt changing anything... all they bring is a bit of entertainment value to our lives ie. ipod, iphone. nothing revolutionary, nothing outstanding, just great aesthetic products overpriced to the max. if anybody disagrees you also have a large asshole. KAI?!

  • I totally agree

I mean, who cares about Final Cut Studio...it's only extremely advanced editting software that's affordable...I guess that means it's not high end though right? And don't even get me started about Logic, Apeture, or any of those other sill "Pro" applications that are all made BY APPLE FOR APPLE...they should just be like Microsoft and offer nothing at all...right? Wait...what?

  • ummm.....yes?.......no?......chocolate bars?

  • Yeah, all rebels and "think different" guys, please jump in the same bandwagon, become all the same, show you are Apple fanboys by buying our product. See, it doesn't make sense. If i'm really different, why should we all buy your expensive computers and ipods? In the end, we wouldn't be different, isn't it? Nice ad though.

  • Apple, Apple! Go Apple!

  • I'm not buying your expensive toys, Apple! You're not the boss of me!

  • very cool.

  • I like it.. it's retro...like the 1957s ad for Chevrolet that pictures were used instead of words... Again, it's different... like Apple.

  • What happens when everyday people want to do production?

Ooop! Computers ain;t just for spreadsheets there Sparky.

  • This commercial is about George Bush and Dick Cheney.

  • to bad someone else made there money , shoulda been practical

  • Why? I haven't heard a single argument why except "they suck"... Apple's great, live with it.

  • Wow. This is true - All Microsoft has done is copy and spread Apple's idea of a personal computer. It is said that Apple's recent decision to sell music drm-free will level the playing field, but in actuality it will make other mp3-player companies see how good Apple really is. Reply to this if you disagree; I want to hear your opinion.

  • This is very inspirational. It's a shame it's a shameless apple advert.. trying to make mac owners think they're rebels.

  • seriously... i dont know if anyone pointed this out. but the ad is 10 years old (at least the audio is). Search youtube for "think different" and you'll find the ad I mean. someone just updated the visuals... which are awesome. but the logo at the end isnt quite right and thus it screams "fan made."

  • I hate Apple computers. I like this ad a lot.

  • jejjejeje buenisimo parce

  • pc's have already changed the world mmkay? no but really what are they implying? the pc world is constantly changing and improving its technology, apple has too big of an asshole yar!

  • awesome add.

i still think apple´s for queers, though.
