Honestly it's not saying much going against any naturally aspirated modular ford. The modular ford's are nothing more than ok. They aren't powerfull unless you add a turbo or supercharger. Now the new ford 5.0 Coyote motor is another story.

I got my first car (Fiat Niki S650) and I can drive that in 2 years time. once I'm 14 (4 years) I can get my P plates and drive a V8. This will definitely be the car I get ($5kAUD). Then chuck a turbo in it and it'll be a beast. This is the cheaper and IMO, better alternative to the Silvia, Skyline and Supra.

What, a 1986 GT automatic? Haha. My carbureted 1982 LX 5.0 non-roller with a shitbox 3 speed overdrive manual trans and over 150,000 miles, with only shorty headers, 2.25" duals, an MSD 6A box (made no difference) and UD pulleys runs consistent 14.6s at 96 - 97 mph on tires that suck so bad that I can't even put it all the way down till the high end of first gear due to wheelspin. I actually know how to tune and drive my cars though, which makes the difference.

believe it or not the SC400 has better gas mileage then the SC300. the SC400 has so much torque but when i drove a 5spd SC against a SC400 i got him behind my rear bumper the whole time.

I think the JDM model is 275, not the SC300 we had over here, if u got to drive the 275hp version, I envy u. theres a 2.5L twin turbo i want to go test drive near by here. The Ad says its a 3.0Turbo, but i am doubting it, that does not exist unless it was custom made.

that sounds about right. and nope ive never driven a real soarer. just a replica with a 1jzgte. if its a 3.0 turbo they must have swapped a 2jzgte into the car. the 2.5 is the 1jzgte. the 1jz is just as sick as the 2jz.

a friend of mine drove a imported soarer a few months back and it had 4 wheel steering and said the single turbo upgrade spooled so quickly it was almost like having a supercharger with high amounts of PSI. and i cant imagine how much traction u get from 4 wheel steering.

NO NO NO GUYS, SC300 is V6, SC400 is V8, the body is the same so if you do see 1, it might confuse you. SC300 came with auto and manual trans. and SC400 came with Auto trans. No manual was offer to SC400. But Even though, SC400 is still faster then SC300 (Stock only). So if you guys are planing to get a Lexus, I recomend geting a SC400. TRUST ME ON THIS PART.

I own one, a 95, I have Motegi Touge Rims and Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R tires with the car running on premium. You have to run premium or the car will produce significantly less power. its about 25bhp to 15bhp less. Mine is pretty quick but the torque converter is stock and is pretty tame, with soft launches leving much to be desiered. A Dragon torque converter and a Uni Chip will change that. =)

Also peak power is at about 4500 Rpm, the car is a topend monster.

The V8 has plenty of potential but the auto tranny is restrictive as hell. Still most SC's are high miles and a decade older than any mustang they'll likely be racing so whipping their ass is a nice trick from the hat.
