I heard the Cryin Shames version of this track & personally, I believe that Duffy performed it before. The reason why is because she gave it the heartfelt & haunting emotion that the track deserves. Extremely powerful & quite touching. Sheer brilliance <3.
if i was hearing this song for the first time i would have thought it was amazing but you cant beat the crying shames version maybe it will be re rereleased and they will get the recognition they should have had for a memorable recording

i thought that the gig was fantastic as well i really enjoyed it. oh n i saw ya lil girl on ya shoulders i thought to ma self oh wat a view i wish i was her. for the whole show tho i wud oh colapsed with my sisters weight n shes only 8.
Oh and get it straight the song was a hit for the Difters in 1961
