@Martin4527 Er zijn jaarlijkse "wedstrijden" tussen verscheidene groepen commando-eenheden. Belgische para-eenheden hebben daar al vaak gewonnen (laatste jaar denk ik dat de winnaars brandweerleden uit Engeland waren).
BTW, de HOLLANDERS werden enkele jaren geleden dik ingemaakt tijdens de military youth trophy. De schande was zo erg dat ze vorig jaar (2010) een groep para's hadden gestuurd die maandenlang daarop getraind hadden, tegens caddetten van nog geen 18.

De MYT duurt trouwens maar één dag.
De Belgische commando's die hier getoond worden zijn trouwens niet onze Special Forces maar het Tweede Bataljon para-commando's.

Certainly not the best army of the world. But they do get close to special forces and are a respected military forc.e Enjoying a superb training with alot of care and they take their time to train their soldiers. I'm am actually curious how the special forces are in Belgium. :-)

whell not that i have anything against the dutch. but they where the first to run at waterloo when the belgain's stood firm. whe fought the germans and won at healen( without the britisch. the rest of ww1 with the britisch ofcourse) and again in 1940 where we held 10 daysagainst the germans the dutch 3days or something so i geus we still got patriostic feelling burning in us. got your back on this one mate. and dont mind that guy's babling he's dutch ;) they cant help it

@BritishArmyExpert Doesn't surprise me the Belgians are respected in the UK. After all, the Belgian commando's exist thanks to England :) during WW II there was a company of commando's existing out of soldiers and volunteers from the countries already conquered by the Germans. There were around 100 Belgians and after the war they used the same training methods as in the UK. The only difference there is, I think, is that you guys go into the field more often than we.
@darkjester53 Yes, I know that story, England is into war, everytime, but that's not the only difference, the training of the ParaCommando's are almost the same. The technology England uses is a little bit better, because of the money, but you're doing fine!
Unfortunately, the barracks/site of that battalion, First Para, at Diest, got closed a couple of months ago (Lousy minister of defense) so Belgium effectively lost one of its best battalions. My first instructors were from that battalion and couldn't attend the final ceremony, because they were training us

fout! Hun camo komt eigenlijk van Afrika vroeger werden er belgische para's gestuurd naar Afrika en nergens anders en daar is hun camo efficienter dan hier in Belgie. Het is gewoon overgepakt van den para's dus daarom heeft heel het leger deze camo......
Hangt volledig af van het gebied waar een krijgsmacht opereert. Elke krijgsmacht opereert in een ander gebied en daarom is van elk land de camouflage ook anders. Plaats het Belgisch camouflagepatroon maar eens tegen een donkerder bos (ardennen?) of een herfstbos (rode/gele bladeren). Zoek eens op google naar camo pakken van de Chinezen, daar zie je ook hele aparte tussen zitten.

hup naar poging 2! 6december naar het militair hospitaal in neder-over-heenbeek voor interview en technisch potentieel testen af te leggen :) 1ste maal was voor paracommando maar had te lage karakteriele score :/ na 3maanden trug proberen maar niet voor para's want er was niks... stormfuselier, verkenner, en schutter medium range heb ik als opties gepakt voor de volgende selectie... later kan ik nog aaltijd aanvragen om brevet pacdo te halen :) 1maal bevrijding aaltijd bevrijding, klopt het?
Het belgische leger is best goed qua tactiek en wapens + technologie maar het enigste nadeel wat ik vind zijn de camoflage keuren. die zien er na mijn idee niet uit. maargoed er zal wel een goede reden voor zijn. ik schrijf dit trouwens niet om ruzie te maken maargoed ik wilde er is een keer wat van zeggen. mischien dat ik er hier wel achter kom.

Certainly not the best army of the world. But they do get close to special forces and are a respected military forc.e Enjoying a superb training with alot of care and they take their time to train their soldiers. I'm am actually curious how the special forces are in Belgium. :-)

Wat is er met al dat haat ik ben een Nederlander en heb in het leger gediend ik hou van Belgium mooi land en lieve mensen, ik woon nu in de US en alle legers hebben de zelfde bassis training. Late we wat beter voor elkaar zijn misschien hebben we elkaar eens nodig respect voor elkaar het is niet hoe goed je leger is het is in je hart oera de groetjes me goeie buren p.s. Belgium's bier is de beste van de wereld niemand kan dat winnen.

And from my experience I can tell you the next thing. The Dutch are shitty soldiers, who always complain. They can't handle pain and the heat of Afghanistan. The Belgian Soldiers were my friends, brave, funny and great soldiers! Look, dutch are selfish, and I hate their orange disease. Bad soldiers compared to the Belgians!

whell not that i have anything against the dutch. but they where the first to run at waterloo when the belgain's stood firm. whe fought the germans and won at healen( without the britisch. the rest of ww1 with the britisch ofcourse) and again in 1940 where we held 10 daysagainst the germans the dutch 3days or something so i geus we still got patriostic feelling burning in us. got your back on this one mate. and dont mind that guy's babling he's dutch ;) they cant help it

Always trying to get their right (what isn't wrong in fact) but even when they're wrong (in almost every case) I fought near Belgians (great guys) and Dutch, and oh Lord, it was hell. @metalmephisto Belgium is a well recognized army here in England (especially the Para Commando's because of their training, I've been in Marche-Les-Dammes for training. Great! And you say personal, but it's like my entire commando brigade (british) hates the dutch. God, and their english accent is so awful. Respect for Belgians, disrescpect for Dutch! @BritishArmyExpert Doesn't surprise me the Belgians are respected in the UK. After all, the Belgian commando's exist thanks to England :) during WW II there was a company of commando's existing out of soldiers and volunteers from the countries already conquered by the Germans. There were around 100 Belgians and after the war they used the same training methods as in the UK. The only difference there is, I think, is that you guys go into the field more often than we.

Unfortunately, the barracks/site of that battalion, First Para, at Diest, got closed a couple of months ago (Lousy minister of defense) so Belgium effectively lost one of its best battalions. My first instructors were from that battalion and couldn't attend the final ceremony, because they were training us

Hangt volledig af van het gebied waar een krijgsmacht opereert. Elke krijgsmacht opereert in een ander gebied en daarom is van elk land de camouflage ook anders. Plaats het Belgisch camouflagepatroon maar eens tegen een donkerder bos (ardennen?) of een herfstbos (rode/gele bladeren). Zoek eens op google naar camo pakken van de Chinezen, daar zie je ook hele aparte tussen zitten.

hup naar poging 2! 6december naar het militair hospitaal in neder-over-heenbeek voor interview en technisch potentieel testen af te leggen :) 1ste maal was voor paracommando maar had te lage karakteriele score :/ na 3maanden trug proberen maar niet voor para's want er was niks... stormfuselier, verkenner, en schutter medium range heb ik als opties gepakt voor de volgende selectie... later kan ik nog aaltijd aanvragen om brevet pacdo te halen :) 1maal bevrijding aaltijd bevrijding, klopt het?

Het belgische leger is best goed qua tactiek en wapens + technologie maar het enigste nadeel wat ik vind zijn de camoflage keuren. die zien er na mijn idee niet uit. maargoed er zal wel een goede reden voor zijn. ik schrijf dit trouwens niet om ruzie te maken maargoed ik wilde er is een keer wat van zeggen. mischien dat ik er hier wel achter kom.
