  • Sir pls sit down you have just been pwned...

  • Pastor Cliff does the best he can with the material he has to work with.

God created man sick, then commanded him be well. God (apparently) made man curious, and then gets angry when his creation acts according to the nature he embued him with. This story has never made any moral sense and it's rather pathetic to see an intelligent person try to defend it....

  • @elgar104 When you play Baseball, there is a set of Rules you must follow.

  • @Brucev7 If you want to believe Life is a sport, played to a set of seemingly arbitrary rules, devised to the amusement of the governing body, and not the players - then that's your decision. But don't tell me I have to play Baseball.

  • @elgar104 Rules. Hello.

  • Pastor Cliff is an excellent Apologetic.

  • Isn't it fun to watch these bible preachers dance and dance in TRYING to explain their mythology?

  • @Remembermylai free choice

  • Person 1: Blah blah balh

    Cliff: Wrong

how the conversation goes throughout the video

  • That man is conceded with his misinterpretation since he use his mind to slur all the way to the point instead of looking at the details.

He just wing the bible in order to beat the shit out of this guy which I think he would not win.

  • The kid said apple. Why does everyone pick on the poor, delicious apple? Cliffe is an ass. Twice he said they knew they were naked before they ate from the tree but Gen. 3:7&11"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked", and "And He said, 'Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?" both show that Cliffe doesn't know the Bible. Did anyone else notice how he twisted what the kid said from 1:40-1:56?

  • Heres my question. How does a perfect being create imperfection? O and then despise it? Here's my answer. There is no such thing as perfect. No truth to the bible as far as god being a perfect being; ergo Christianity fails.

  • @prophylacticfaith God gives Free will. God did not create evil. He created the potential. Evil is the absence of Good.

  • Genesis 3:11 And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"

    @1:37 Sorry Cliffe wrong again!

  • I wonder if he is the Emilio s' Knechtle son.

  • @theawakener7 Are you trying to say that old people are vile? Well sir I hope you don't ever become vile and that you leave a nice fresh corpse behind :) Treat this life as though oit is your last, because it is. Also remember that flesh is vile next time you hold a newborn baby or newborn anything for that matter and tell me that flesh is vile. You religious vealots are truly nutty.

  • @Cougar139tweak, have a nice life bro.

  • @VolvicReviveUK I will, and sincerely hope you do as well.

  • @Remembermylai

I don't understand your question? The whole concept of the tree of life is fairly easy to grasp.

  • the difference is Cliff knows murder is wrong because he has heard and seen stories of the experiences of others who have been murdered, so cliff knows murder is wrong only because of that. murder didn't happen before adam and eve so they wouldn't have known

  • @siwooot False.

Cliff and yourself know murder is wrong because you both have a conscience. Not because you have witnessed or heard about someone dieing and the implications it has. IF infact the god of the bible is the real god then so when he made adam in his own image then adam would have an understanding of good and bad. ( a conscience) if we dont have a conscience by god then murder is in fact not wrong and neither is the rape of wormen or stealing of a dollar bill. Think deeper.

  • @zachychan3 we weren't born knowing what's good and whats bad, we had to be taught by other humans what was right and what was wrong, anyone who's raised a child knows this, babies don't simply have a conscience that tells them everything they need to know about whats right and whats wrong their parents teach them, humans figured out what was right and wrong by seeing what helped society better survive and spread that knowledge on, some of this knowledge is no longer relevant to today

  • @siwooot

Think about this: If we are created in the image of God, then would it or would it not be true that we would have had the same knowledge of what is right and wrong, even before sin?

  • @BassP86 No. Image, not "Like or Match." Like a portrait.

  • @Brucev7

The question was for siwooot, dude.

  • @BassP86 and my reply was for you, dude.

  • @theawakener7 I have a theory, on the idea that spirit energy is infinitely divisible. Shikigami making shikigami making shikigami...

Hmm. I'll have to try that sometime. May be difficult to control through.

  • @theawakener7 The way you speak of the human body, it sounds like you believe Satan designed and created us. Just because a spoiled apple tastes bad, doesn't mean all apples are disgusting. Like any organic matter, a body can only be fresh for so long before it starts to spoil, so we must enjoy what we are before our forms decay. I believe in reincarnation, and relish every incarnation on this planet.

  • @theawakener7 I believe the physical body is quite beautiful. Also, quite complicated. Definitely not vile.

  • theawakener7 I've witnessed someone creating a spirit using his spirit in a shikigami ritual. As for the flesh, it sounds like a golem, which is a Jewish ritual from the Book of Yezirah. If that's the case, life really was created by lightning striking a mud puddle. lol

  • @theawakener7 Hmm...I just realized that if you apply the theory of will-o-wisps to YHWH (Feel free to correct me on the name at any time), then it's possible that the light before the sun is his own energy until a heat source could be created, making that part of the bible true...

Now here's an interesting question: Is YHWH an angelic being, demonic, or both?

  • @theawakener7 And that takes care of Young Earth Creationism.

  • @theawakener7 Heavens, as in more than one?

  • @theawakener7 Well, "dude", I know that the moon reflects the sun's light and doesn't generate it's own. It's part of how we learned that the Earth is round. Outside the Earth's atmosphere, there isn't a blue sky, but darkness 24/7. I've learned from Chinese astrology, Mayan astrology, several European stargazers, and astral projection.

  • @theawakener7 Using a different version did solve a bunch of issues I had. Still, the idea of having day and night before the sun and moon conflicts with what I know of astronomy.

  • @theawakener7 Well, there's our problem: I'm reading from the wrong book.

So you say that this Rotherham version is correct? What did they use for it?

  • @theawakener7 I wouldn't know, since the only time I was ever in a church was to get some holy water for a ritual. Most of what I know of YHWH came from the KJV Bible, which I've been told is the most similar version to the original, and the word of Jewish and Christian people. You do have a point about the fallacy of the church and the potential for it to have corrupted the bible, perhaps even the original. Maybe all monotheist religions are wrong, and their gods fictional...

  • @theawakener7 There were people in other areas long before Adam and Eve. The Tower of Babel fell to structural unbalance, like Jenga. YHWH wants you to think there's just Him in the next world, when he is actually one of many. People far away from Israel worship the god of Israel, and that just confuses me. I live in Alaska, so I study the Inuit deities.

  • @theawakener7 Neither. I'm Taoist. It's just that YHWH tends to lie and wants all the credit but without the responsibility (Judging from the KJV), his son is a good guy, I've seen too many unusual and coincidental things to be Atheist, Allah usually minds his own business, Zeus/Odin/etc and their families are quite nice, Buddha and Lao Tzu and Confucius are smart, and any other Gods I haven't met yet sound like people worth meeting.

  • @theawakener7 YHWH has a huge ego, and deems his creations perfect and himself all-powerful. Then he realizes that he messes up and blames his creation, proving that neither he nor his creations are perfect.

  • @theawakener7 Knowledge of Good and Evil. That means knowing what good and evil is. Conscience is knowing what good and evil is, and detecting which path is good. Sinning is knowing what good and evil is, and detecting which path is evil.

  • @billy1303 And that's with knowledge of earlier books in the same local area within Israel. Just imagine if YHWH made a Jamaican or Inuit man write a book.

  • This guy must sell used cars when he's not preaching.

  • adam and eve didnt exist. its a fable. ask yourself is htis why man is sinful?? because of these supposed first two humans? and we are supposed to suffer for this as well? come on people...

  • I heard Cliff at U Texas-Austin back in the 80s. He's still good, maybe better...

  • He is saying they didn't know what sin was? They didn't know that eating the tree was wrong?

    Genesis 2:16-17

And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

Sounds like they knew to me..

  • @adderas you're totally wrong. Adam and Eve did not know what sin was like. They were being told that proposition A is TRUE, but they did not experienced proposition A to be True / False, they had their free will to believe God was saying the right thing and trust Him... or chose to experience the truthfulness of that proposition, in order to determine it being true or false. Only after they experienced it they had the knowledge to realize it was True. It all comes down to obedience.

  • @fakirJ Proposition B= "This fruit will give you a moral compass, an increase in intelligence, and you will NOT die from it."

  • @adderas Last week, I was in an argument with a man about whether the snake was telling the truth about the lethality of the fruit of knowledge. He won with the statement "They ate the fruit and lived with newfound morality and intellect. Snake: 1, God: 0". I'd say that it was more sinful than eating the fruit to use Eve as a guinea pig.

  • @guidojacobs2002 Yep, and with that came death.

    Gen 3:2-3

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, OR YOU WILL DIE.’”

  • @adderas Then we'd have a dead Eve, clutching the fruit, with Gen 3:4 being " ...and then she died, leaving Adam a widower. As he could not bear children without a woman, the human race went extinct."

  • @adderas

"He is saying they didn't know what sin was? They didn't know that eating the tree was wrong?"

Adam and eve were not real people.

"0 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” 11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?

If being naked is bad, why did god create them that way?

  • @merneptah2 Before they ate of the forbidden fruit, their conscience was not filled with the darkness of sin, or lack of light.

  • Wow this guy is so cool with all his gansta hand motions and arrogant attitude. I don't know how you do it Cliff but you have the patience of a saint

  • @lingm04 Many people would say vice-versa.

  • some people are just angry

  • I can't stand the aggressive attitude of this Afro culture. Like they've got a huge chip on their shoulder or something. The guy in the red was not interested in a debate/discussion. He just wanted to dictate to the other guy and even said "I don't care what you say" and seemed to try and confuse Cliff by talking at a million miles an hour.

  • This guy is Good.

  • @RespectMyHate Cliff is an excellent Apologetic, Scholar.

  • @Carpathia25 How can the bible or anyone talk about the genealogy of Jesus on the fathers side ? Wasn`t Jesus father a pigeon ? Joseph apparently had nothing to do with it.

  • @lizazoon Mockery is not an argument.

  • I dont subscribe to faith the you speak of.

  • omg this guy took too many uppers. angry angry young man,

  • 1.) The original DNA of humans was perfect, no downside to close marriage.

2.) Eve was made from Adam's rib, how much closer to family can you get from that?

3.)There was no one else for their children to marry but each other, DNA still nearly in perfect condition.

4.)Even generations later the DNA was in nearly perfect condition because they were still living 700 to 900+ years.

5.) After the flood is when things changed with DNA because they weren't living as long, but still a long time.

  • A half sister for Abraham wasn't that close in terms of DNA condition.

This guy in the red shirt clearly hasn't read much of the Bible. It sounds to me as if he's just repeating some anti-religious talking point.

  • @neoverse Where do you get all this nonsense. The flood is childish nonsense.. Show me how one makes a woman out of a rib. If he was or is so allmighty, why didn`t he make Eve out of Adams foreskin, ? Less complicated and less painful

  • @lizazoon And your opinion is any more relevant than who for what reason? Was their any point in that post other than you expressing your flawed biased opinion of the Bible?

  • @neoverse I figure the argument it too complicated for you to refute.

  • @lizazoon Why do I need to refute anything, you did nothing but post some alternative that contradicts what the Bible says and that makes your alternative null and void. I see no reason to refute something when the Bible refutes it word for word. Whether or not you believe the Bible is the truth makes no difference to me, anything you say that contradicts the word of God is null and void aka refuted.

  • @neoverse-- anything you say that contradicts the word of God is null and void--

    Deuteronomy 25:11-12

If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals, then you shall cut off her hand; you shall not show pity.

  • @lizazoon What is your point? This was the mosaic laws.

  • @neoverse : You mean the Mosaic laws have no longer any value? What about christ saying: I did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill.?? My point is the OT is plain nonsense.

  • @lizazoon From G4134; to make replete, that is, (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.: - accomplish, X after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply.

But to you it won't matter, your only here to mock. accomplish, end, expire, fill up

    don't see any continuance

  • God said: Do not eat from the tree of good and evil TO Adam AND Eve! So they must have known that they shouldn't..So they sinned...Right?

  • @JohnnyX1239 Yes. God gives His creatures the gift of Free Will. He also imprints Conscience on their, our hearts as well.

  • Cliff cut the video becase the dont have any answer he just yeping same christian bla bla. ok i have a Question was that Sin when Adam and Eve put there son and daughters into merrage? if that was right then why not now dont give me same old answer the when human race need it. that mean in need a person can have sex with his daughter,Mother and sister if this your realigeon then hell with it

  • @flurto No. Not until the Mosaic laws was incest unlawful.

  • Repetition of misinformation is the extent of your argument.

  • Maybe I am seeing a different perspective, but what I saw was a contentious man trying to "prove" contradictions and Cliff handled the situation well. Supa squirrel2000, maybe instead of holding your bias, you might actually learn if you consider both sides of the argument. Honestly, I looked at evolution in a logical sense and find it is illogical as the foundation of life, but that our bodies evolve throughout our lives with various changes in height, weight, etc.

  • i can agree with cliffe being right. but the part when he says he is going to murder that guy because he doesnt know what it feels like to murder isnt right. he talks about his consciousness.. well his consciousness is built up of who knows how many years of life he has been living. adam and eve were like new born babies. they have only lived for little time. those dont add up in that explanation.

ps. no hate here. all loooove!

  • @davegooley

    You eediot!!!

The theory of evolution isn't trying to find how life was created.

You obviously confused the theory of evolution with the theory of abiogenesis, a common creationist mistake.

  • this guy is so silly if Adam or Eve didnt know that eating of the tree of life was wrong . Then what is this business of telling the Devil they should not eat of the tree. Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. Then Adam Eve ran off and hid there nakedness by sewing fig leaves together like most religion try to pay for there sin with there filthy works .

  • Cliffe is one of the best debaters I have ever seen and his arguments have more structure than you want to admit.

  • He didnt seem to be getting angry. He seemed to be calmly and coherently responding to a very antagonistic student with some misinformed opinions on the bible.

  • Nah man thats just sad. your posting up the message more than once just to provoke

  • "supasquirrel2000" are you repeating this post on all the pages just to provoke?

  • Exactly.

  • Nah, you just dont like the fact that this rapper wanabe thought he had some slam dunks and cliff destroyed each and every one of them.
