You can use whatever OS you want on any computer. The only reason it's hard to install OSX on pc's is business strategy and because Apple doesn't support many types of hardware, only their own stuff. But yes, you can install Windows 7 on a mac

maybe you say that because you have not used some gnu/linux distribution. anyone that has used linux, in any of it distributions, knows that that is not true. so many applications exist for edition of audio and video so you have much of where to choose. and about of the games, I have installed in my pc Quake Wars, Doom 4, Alien Arena, Nexuis etc. perhaps you could investigate a little, so that you inform yourself in this theme.try ubuntu studio and you will see ;)

Plus If I do encounter a major problem because I screwed it up accidentaly then I don't really care because my home directory is a different hard disk. If you use mac(or windows) and your happy with it then good but as for me I use linux and don't have a single problem with it so there is no need for either of us to switch :)

Modmadmike2: You realize Mac OS X's kernel is Unix right? So... With Mac OS you get Mac OS X apps, Linux apps, and you guessed it, Windows apps via Wine, all running seamless without VMs. I actually just got finished compiling KDE4.1.2 and Amarok2 beta right into Mac OS X.

Oh, and to answer your question about name something your Linux PC can't do... SURE! I can triple boot XP, OS X, AND Linux.....

I don't know while people are hating on my point. It's calling mac out on their marketing bullshit. They could have used a smaller boarder around the edge of the screen, and therefore givin you a larger screen area. I love my mac. but just making a simple point about it. just wanted to let everyone know. The whole 13.5 inch screen is BULLSHIT. Ever notice the really huge border around your macbook screen? Well that's so they can call it 13.5, but really it's only a tiny bit smaller than the 15 inch! They purposefully made your screen smaller so they could call it 13.5, but really it's like a 14 or 14.5! It's totally a scam and I love apple but it's shit like this that totally makes me angry. I have a fourteen inch computer with a 13 inch screen. BULLSHIT.

Yeah, don't you know? The whole 13" only refers to the viewable area, the screen. So that you know that the screen is 13". It does NOT refer to the actual laptop, only the screen. It has always been like that. Just look at TV's, a 32 inch TV for example only has a 32 inch screen while the actual TV including borders is usually bigger.

They purposefully used a larger border around the screen so they could call it a 13 inch computer. because if it had the same size boarder around the screen that every other mac has they would have to call it a 14 inch, and that fucks up the marketability. if your referring to my screen size comment, then the problem is: I have a 13.3" mac that has a body barely smaller than my 15 inch if you set them on top of eachother, but apple purposefully put a bigger border around the screen so they could call it a 13 inch. Look at the huge border around a macbook sometime and compare it to the relatively slim border on almost every other laptop in the world. It's a marketing scheme to trick the consumer into thinking it's a small computer when it's not.
