As a member of the group which performed this music, I would like to say that Toyota cars are great. I have had a Toyota Carina for the last 10 years (it is now 21 years old) and by heck it's still going well. PS Swell Maps were a bunch of #####. Bye, Phones Sportsman
Oh fucking hell! STOP USING GREAT MUSIC FOR LAME ADVERTISING! Seriously, just because you are a creative and have discriminating musical taste, don't pull a slick one by thinking you'll use an obscure post punk reference in a commercial and get away with it. It just show what lack of respect you actually have for this band and that music. In the end, you prove that you are not a fan but a fake.
anyone who thinks this is NOT Swell Maps hasn't listened to the band very much. I picked it up instantly when to my shock saw this on TV several years ago. And knew after only a few notes like others here that it was BLAM
that is definitely not swell maps. the music is similar to their style, but that's not them. if i'm wrong, and it for sure is them, can you tell me the name of the song and the album it's on?
yes it's "Blam"..not backwards, I've seen a longer commercial with it as well and there is more of the song used. it doesn't sound anything like Let's Build A Car"...it's part of the "Full Moon/Blam/Full Moon Reprise" song.

@spastiqueplastique Preach, brother or sister. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's sick of this shit.

It's such a shame that every great song eventually ends up on a bloody car advert. Oh well, hopefully the remaining Maps got some decent royalties
