  • RIP Atomicboyx, you died trying to prove to us that spinach is healthy and makes you strong. By the way, my daily BED (banana equivalent dose) is about 300 if these calculations are correct.

  • Thank you for taking the time to make the video.

  • Funny vid!

  • i've been LIKING every partner4japan video and trying my best to comment on most of 'em cuz i'm hoping it makes a difference!!!!

  • Everything in moderation.

In fact, spinach has fairly high levels of oxalic acid, which has never been very good for you.

  • now he'll mutate and gain super powers...he can be now called Spinach-Man

  • hahaha, i'm glad you explained the situation with the radioactive spinach, etc. lol.

  • What is your intention with this video? The Japanese government makes a public announcement that radiation levels in some food items exceeded safety limits and you put on a show mocking the current health concerns. Is this really contributing in some helpful manner, as one would expect uploads to reflect on this Partners4Japan channel?

  • @chevkoch well someone doesn't have a sense of humor do they? everyone jokes about things in today's society and without a good laugh now and again the world would be a HORRIBLE place to live.

    so lighten up :)

  • @chevkoch We're the ones living in this situation, not you, sir.. If we took everything so seriously we'd be in a miserable place. They say smiles and laughter prevent disease. Try it sometime :)

  • @partners4japan Yeah man, people got have some fun.

  • @partners4japan Look, please see that I'm coming from a well-meaning place. There was a Mar 25th conference with Dr. Alexey Yablokov, co-author of "Chernobyl: Consequences of the Catastrophe for People and the Environment". Since I can't post links here, I put a note into my channel comments. Please don't shrug off the food contamination warnings and please don't promote ignoring them. Dislike me speaking out here, that's alright. Maybe just look into the info mentioned still. Thanks.

  • The conference is on YouTube as well, here is part one: watch?v=tiMG5uWOmXU

  • OMG you were so wrong ROFL! Thanx for the laugh, it made my day ;o)

  • The simple fact is most people are scared because they don't realize we encounter radiation on a daily basis, though at the same time increased exposure does multiply your chances of cell damage/mutation. Without the knowledge to make an informed decision, the best move is to play it safe.

Though I don't think playing down the effect of contamination is a good move either, I understand the need to uphold public image, but at the cost of health, it's not an acceptable trade off.

  • its raw, dont worry the radiation doesnt come out if you boil it

  • @kitsune090 I'm not sure what you're tying to say, but this spinach was grown long before the earthquake. If there's any radioactive material on it, it almost certainly can be washed off. It's not IN the spinach.

  • @LordBalto yeah, actually you can take off the radiation of the water by boiling it.

  • Could you check back with us in 10 years or so and let us know if you get cancer?

  • Dont trust anything green x.x

  • Victor just made a video saying not to drink the water.. that sounds pretty serious. =(

    LOL great video!

  • Don't DO IT THE SPINACH WILL RADIOACTIVLY KILL YOUR SOUL!!

  • Haha. Yeah. On CNN, at least, they keep saying, any produce and what not that's contaminated at all, isn't even being shipped out. Which really sucks for the people who rely on selling those products to the stores n all. :\ The only thing I've heard negatively about Tokyo in the news is, today, they say that people are being urged not to give infants tap water or put tap water in the baby's formula, because of contaminants (radioactive). Can you or anyone else confirm that?

  • cercl

  • Braiiiinsssss

  • LOl, so funny!

  • Haha That made me laugh :)

  • that's good you washed it though. might've gotten e. coli D:

  • LOL...too funny! The hype and hysteria here in US is just amazing!. Selling out of Iodine pills on the west coast....really?

  • lol hilarious

  • atomicboyx wakes up later that night to find out that he now has super powers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thumbs up for teaching me a Japanese word! ;)

  • You don't have to panic yet. The radiation in my region is still four times higher then in Tokyo. The spinach you ate was highly likely less radiated then the usual vegetables in my region.

  • nucular

  • Dont come crying to your channel if u turn into a hulk!

  • no don't wash it! Eat those germs! LOL! Oh lol at the comical parts of lights and groaning sounds.

  • hahaha !

  • LoL, eating spinach, radioactive or not, makes you much braver then me, srsly, that sh*t is just nasty!

  • Ok, that was hilarious man. Hahaha!!!

  • Nice video. It's great to see this channel start to take off. I have to agree that the media sometimes gets carried and everyone must live their life without fear like Japan has shown so wonderfully. However, the real harm from all this radiation is not for a man of your mass index and age...It's for the very young and old. This is a fact. Another fact is that as of today The japanese goverment deemed the water supply unsafe for children. This is who I'm concerned for.

  • haha awesome, this is pretty much what the media says will happen to you if you eat it

  • i lol'd hard

  • Did atomicboyx really die??

  • haha this video was pretty entertaining :3 I did see the news yesterday while i was at the gym where they were scanning spinach for radiation, but it's good to know that it's not as bad as people may think!

  • Imagine what Popeye could do with radioactive spinach!!!

  • haha :D

  • Fantastic rrrrawwrr!

  • lol! loved the vid! Thanks so much!!! :D!

  • Greg when you started turning green I expected to hear GREG SMASH!!!!!!!

  • CERCL

  • hmmm kind of like the Gulf - the fish is safe to eat there and the water is safe to swim in. amazing how there is zero common sense these days

  • lolz

  • Yaaayyy!!! JAPAN KEEP ON ROCKING!!

  • Oh noes, the hulk!

  • I love the package of the spinach, I am sure it is safe to eat.

  • what about your tap water?

  • LMAO!

  • true, true, those sensationsnews are really rubbish!! Nice to see that there are still people out there who believe in facts! Nice vid...I would have eat the spinach, too!

  • Hahaha! You are hilarious! Laughter is medicine for the soul.

  • Nice. My first real laugh since this all started.

  • Spinach and feta = best combo ever!

  • How did I know that was coming! HaHaHa

  • jokes. this was awesome.

  • I couldn't help but to laugh. Hahahahaa!

I think I might do that with spinach anyways because I hate spinach. Xd

  • Heh heh..y'know, even before I clicked the vidlink I *knew* it was going to be like this...
