The fight scene between Rodimus and Galvatron does not make sense at all. Why does Galvatron fall when he should be able to fly in space. FAIL!

It is evident on Five Faces of Darkness, Web World, and many other episodes of the third season of Transformers.

@sacadp i sort of get it, but I never thought it was much of a problem or a continuity issue, just different ways of traveling around. With the ship Unicron gave him, they used it to pound the crap out of the two Autobot shuttles. Mount a big cannon atop a stagecoach and you don't need to shoot little pistols at the wagon train from a bunch of horses.

It's stupid when they fall of a cliff and forget they can fly (for example). But if it's a long way or more convenient, I'd ride in a ship too.

And as for falling off a cliff, which I'm assuming you mean Megatron after his defeat, well he was beaten so badly he had to be carried off the battlefield, I doubt he could fly.

While going through Unicron's body could rationalize him falling through space instead of flying, it doesn't explain why they arrived in a big ship instead of under their own power; Cyclonus and the Sweeps are flying vessels.

The cliff thing was not specific to Megatron or Galvatron. It was a generalization about characters forgetting about - or just plain not using - their own powers or modes.

For the record, some G1 examples of power/mode forgetfulness: Autobots fly into the oil rig in MTMTE, then fall off when it tips. Megatron's wrist saw-blade and chest-mounted reprogramming hose.

Significantly taller (watch during Prime's line), broader upper body (compare to the fishing scene), "older" looking in the face (particularly additional lines cheek to nose), and his transform incorporates a trailer.

It's not like Megatron's complete reformatting into Galvatron; he's is still supposed to look like Hot Rod, just more "grown-up". The changes are intended to mirror human maturity during adolescence (except the trailer, of course), where you still look like you, just more mature.

We never saw Optimus Prime before the Matrix, but Scourge was transformed when he possessed it -- and according to the "Transformers Guide Book, Ultra Magnus was never intended to possess it. Optimus Prime did not choose Hot Rod, the Matrix did. Prime did choose Magnus, the Matrix did not. That was why Ultra Maguns never inhereted the title of "Prime"
